I love this coffee shop. It’s my favorite and I’m a regular, but I’m saddened by their packaging art contest. For Exposure contests take advantage of artists. They’re a scummy way of getting free work. Gallery space and your name on a bag of beans doesn’t pay the rent. This shop caters to a community filled with artists. I would bet that atleast 75 percent of their customers are artists. I will totally change this to five stars if they actually pay an artist to do their packaging. Ask for portfolios, build a relationship with an artist, support your community as they have supported you.

I was viewing an apartment around the corner from here so decided to check it out. Service was quick and the cold brew was tasty, albeit a bit expensive — but what independent coffee in NYC isn’t, really. I told the staff my situation, and they were more than happy to tell me all about the neighborhood — which bars to go to, where the nearest grocery was, the best bike routes to take — which I really appreciated. I ended up signing a lease for the apartment so I plan to spend a lot more time here. Here’s to future experiences being just as positive.

Great pour over coffee. I love that they give you the entire brewing container so that nothing goes to waste. I also appreciate that they let you bring in outside food. This was a perfect place to munch on our doughnuts from Dough.

Brewklyn Grind Coffee Roasters is a phenomenal neighborhood coffee shop with a spacious study-conducive setting, great beats, a simple but incredibly well executed menu, and really cool people. It is an obvious choice for Pratt students and coffee aficionados alike. Brewklyn also roasts and bags their own beans, so you’re welcome to take your favorites home to enjoy. There are seats for maybe 20 – 30 people with natural light and outlets. The menu is standard espresso based drinks, cold brew, chai, and loose tea. Pastries include cookies, artisanal pop tarts, and scones. When you drink/eat in, everything comes in an actual mug or glass. Its so easy to relax here!

I can’t say enough good about this place! It’s my go-to coffee spot in the neighborhood. The service is pleasant, coffee delicious, and ambiance chill/relaxing. Great place to meet with friends or study(very mellow and quiet). A+ Brewklyn!

Great casual space. The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and I have only had good experiences. I personally don’t love their coffee, and I wish they had more grab and go breakfast options(aside from pastries), but it’s a solid spot and I’m glad to have it in the neighborhood!

Great place to grab a cup of coffee on the go or to sit down and get some work done! It’s simplicity makes it stand out and the staff is great. I love the idea of «less is more» but you certainly get everything your looking for with your caffeine fix. It’s clean, refreshing and relaxing. My idea of a true local coffee shop. There’s also a great patio area in the back that is perfect to catch up with friends on a beautiful day! Congrats to the team at B! You’ve done an amazing job creating an environment that is just right. Wishing you continued success!

Came in here the other morning before work. It had just opened for the day and I assume I was the first customer of the day. The staff that morning was super cool/polite. The cold brew was strong! Stronger than I’m used to. But still delicious. I’ll be back at some point.

Walked past Brewkyln at night and thought I’d have to swing by and check it out in the morning… So glad we did. This is a legitimate coffee shop. The owner was making every coffee and he went on to explain that he even roast the beans himself. Such a good experience… Great coffee, good people and solid tunes! Check it out

Very nice spot. Enjoyed getting to know the staff that was on duty. Coffee was excellent as were the pastry. My only complaint is that they do not open very early during the week. Even a 7:30am open time for a coffee shop during the week would work and locals could catch a cup before getting on the road to work rather than to wait all the way to arriving at the other end of a commute. I vote for earlier weekday hours to round out this pretty great little spot!

By far the best coffee in the area! They have great pastries, coffee and chocolate! What more do you need? The sitting areas a perfect for a chill weekend afternoon. Do yourself a favor and get a dark chocolate with espresso bar. You know you want it!

The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The décor is beautiful, and I can’t wait for the spring time to come because of the outdoor area. And of course, the coffee! I’ve had a delicious mocha coffee and a refreshing iced chai latte. I’ll be returning often and pushing my way through the menu.

This review is purely for the pretty awful, overpriced quiche that took 8 minutes to heat up yet was still very cold in the center. Fortunately their LevelUp city pass credit lessened the blow, as did the friendly staff and clean restroom. Transaction Amount $ 5.25 Credit Applied — $ 4.00 Total Spent $ 1.25

Oohhhhh Nnoooo… Brand new coffee house on Myrtle Ave. Very charming great potential for a big backyard. We stepped in from a very very cold Saturday afternoon. Got a chocolate croissant and a hot chocolate. The croissant like everywhere else. Your standard mass produced and not bad not spectacular either . The so called hot chocolate was terrible. More like hot milk with a trace of cocoa power. It was awful. Hate to criticize like this. But when u open a brew shop you better get it down first. $ 7.25 for a chocolate croissant and a cup of should have been hot chocolate. Ick …

Very cute coffee shop that just opened filing a huge void in a relative coffee desert in Clinton Hill. Totally conducive for sitting and working(they have working outlets!) with options both indoors and outdoors. Staff is great — very welcoming and friendly and coffee selection is diverse and includes homemade vanilla syrup!

Loved the new location. I’ve been waiting for them to pop up in my neighborhood. Now e finally have a place to get a good cup of coffee in a great location. The shop is comfortable looking, the staff is so friendly and the coffee and pastries are the best, bar none.

I stopped into this brand new Clinton Hill coffee shop this morning on my way to the G train from my girlfriend’s apartment. Given that I’m nowhere close to being a morning person, and I don’t like traveling any farther than I have to for coffee(my lifeblood), I’m glad that this place opened up. Now I no longer have to go the opposite way of my normal walk to the Classon G train or cross several hazardous lanes of Myrtle Ave. traffic to go to Bergen Bagels, just to get a decent cup of coffee. Brewklyn is more than just convenient, though. It’s good. I ordered a medium drip coffee($ 2.50, tax included — not cheap, but more or less fairly priced given the quality) and checked out the backyard. Be it for bars, restaurants, or coffee shops, I’m a fan of outdoor seating, so while the tables and chairs and the backyard as a whole are nothing particularly special, they are still pleasant and welcome. I also appreciated the clean, uncluttered appearance of the inside. So many coffee shops collect so much crap on the walls over the years that it was nice to be in a place where decoration is simple and sparing. I’m hoping it’s the owners’ intentional long-term plan to keep it this way, rather than it only lacking a random assortment of haphazard decorations because it’s just recently opened. The guy who served my coffee was kind enough, making sure to say hello and goodbye to all the customers. It seems overall to be a refreshingly unpretentious place, which is no small feat given that it’s a coffee shop in a Brooklyn hipster enclave. And oh yeah, don’t forget to pick up a stamp card.

I stopped by last week for a late morning pick me up after picking up Laundry and a trip to the hardware store. I was a little wary of the play on «Brooklyn», but they’re a great addition to the neighborhood! The store gets great light in the front, with a cozy seating/workspace in the back, and is very simply(in a good way) decorated. The staff were very friendly and didn’t try to over-complicate my order of «just a small black coffee to go» like way too many other places do. Took a croissant(which, like many other coffee shops are rightfully doing, are from Balthazar Bakery) with me as well, and I believe both came out to about $ 5 together, which seems like the right price point. Welcome to to neighborhood BK Grind!
