Brooklyn never lets you down! I was in the mood for a Cuban sandwich but didn’t feel like heading all the way into the city, so I decided to Look up best place to get a Cuban in Brooklyn. So extremely happy I found Cubana Café! The Cuban sandwich was perfect with its delicious meats and creamy garlic aioli. For sides we ordered Maduros and tostones they both came with this mango pineapple dipping sauce that had a little heat to it which was delicious!!! The drinks were great as well I went with the red Sangria-amazing! and also tried a beer that the waitress had recommend Dragon Stout… It was a dark beer but it was light and robust. It is a cash only restaurant. Such a great place look forward to coming back again.

Better than I expected. Came here in search of a good Cuban Sandwich, glad to say I’m fairly satisfied. The décor is something straight out of Miami or Key Largo, with ceiling fans and open doors. Tables are small/narrow kind of hard to sit in. Ordered the Ceviche, the Guac, and their Signature Cuban Sandwich. The Ceviche was the star of the meal; with their fresh seafood along with the cilantro topping. My friend couldn’t get enough of the sandwich, I don’t know how many times she cried out omg. The guac and the piña colada was just okay.

This place is definitely going to be my new go-to. Their happy hour menu is a real bargain– margaritas and mojitos are $ 5, and corn is $ 2.50. You also get free plantain chips for the table! I ordered the chicken with mango, peppers, and onions, and the entrée was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

We started with the corn and it was decent. Nothing to rave. The baked chicken entrée was great. Chicken was tender and moist. Finished off with sweet plantains and that was delicious as well. Nice little place with friendly staff. The mojitos are strong and yum but the highlight was the white sangria! Definitely plan to return. Also, happy hour menu is quite good!

Pretty cool place. Small and intimate. Perfect for an evening date. At times it can really feel like you are in a quaint, relaxing area in Cuba. The food is always great. They have the best steak sandwich with cheese, avocado and chipotle mayonnaise. The service is really consistent. My only gripe is they don’t take cards.

I had nice tea, a sangria and great flan here. The place was packed with people, nice atmosphere, with authentic music playing in background… great place to bring a date!

We walk by Cubana Café a lot and wanted to try somewhere new for brunch. glad we gave it a try! The meal started out with free plantain chips which were a pleasant surprise, we each ordered a meal then got the coconut bread pudding for dessert. Everything was delicious and the staff is friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back.

Small place, CASHONLY. Smoothies that are mixed with yogurt really do taste like yogurt. Wasn’t really what ie was expecting. Ropa Vieja was good, though I prefer mine to be a bit more shredded up. Clean bathroom, service with a smile. Decent place.

We had a fantastic brunch here. The food is really very good. It was quiet on a Sunday at 11, which was also ideal because we had a baby with us.

My husband and I had our first date here in 2009. Tonight the restaurant wasn’t as busy? 3 stars for entrees, 4 stars for dessert. Shrimp and avocado salad is delicious — well dressed, shrimp well seasoned, many big chunks of avo and mango. Elote was just ok, kinda cold and not sweet, maybe bc it’s not corn season? Goat cheese empanadas weren’t tasty, also kinda cold. Filetilla is just sliced hanger steak with peppers and onions without much flavor served with white or yellow rice and black or red beans. Side of plantains always goes well. The entrees weren’t great but the deserts were amazing! Flan is the best I’ve had in a while and coconut bread pudding was warm and delish!

Whenever I see a guy who’s attractive, I’ll say, «My ovaries want that!» The same can be said for Cuban and steak sammies. There’s nothing more satisfying than crispy bread, some meat, sauce, all stacked together. My ovaries, well more like my stomach liked that! The chips and guacamole rocked too! We stayed for a while and the waitstaff was so accommodating, refilling our cervezas and agua. Si, se puede.

I only did take out, so I can’t speak to the full experience but from what I can tell, this place is great. Neat spot, nice people… it has them both. Got a Cuban sandwich and it was bursting at the seams with meat… what more could I really ask for?

Ok so this placed was closed for a while. I showed up one day to see the doors closed and I ain’t mad at them because due to this I found my new favorite place down the block, Jolie cantina. Anyway on my way to my new favorite place I saw they opened again and everything pretty much locks the same so when I got home I told my husband and few days later we are here. I wet today on a quiet day. We were the only table in there and I felt like the pace was very slow. I didn’t mind but on a busy day that wouldn’t make any inpatient customers happy. I ate my food like always and it was pretty good. My mojito was yummy and my tres leches too. Oh and it’s still cash only which I always knew so I don’t complain about that all my favorite places are.

My first time was Wednesday, had a wrap for breakfast. It was good and spicy, I enjoyed and will be going back again. Saw a new breakfast menu with somethings I would like to try.

My first experience with Cubana Café in Park Slope near the Barclays Center was pretty good so I’d thought we’d give this location a try for a family birthday dinner. The service was ‘OK’. We had to repeat our orders to our waitress a few times and even then she still forgot to bring the sweet plantains. My group was not happy. The appetizer portions are also very small. We ordered coconut shrimp and empanadas. They give you 3 coconut shrimp, and 2 small empanadas. I guess they were so good we just wanted more! But anyways! The ambience was perfect, not too loud, family oriented, and the salsa playing in the background was on the perfect volume level. Loud enough to hear it but not too loud that we couldn’t hear each other speak. Great for both family outings and date night. The food was delicious, a few people had the steak and I had tilapia and as our drink of choice we went with a pitcher of white Sangria. The sangria was so good we ordered a 2nd one.

They’re back! They’re back! To my great surprise and pleasure, I enjoyed a few mojitos last night on their first day back open!

cute place, great service, but the elote was just boiled and very watery, huge disappointment(I love elote). I enjoyed the gratis chips/salsas — they were interesting and yummy. I honestly forgot what else I had — it was that forgettable. won’t be back.

Awesome cuban sandwich and elote. I also really enjoyed the chickpea salad that came with my sandwich. My sandwich, my boyfriend’s, and a side of elote for $ 23.50 made it the cheapest brunch I’ve had in awhile. And with $ 5 mimosas, sangrias, and mojitos through 5pm on the weekend, I’d have still made out like a bandit.

Disappointing food, slow unfriendly service, and apparently cash only(at least during brunch). I guess credit card fees would put them out of business. Just avoid and go elsewhere. Don’t let this place let you down by destroying a great cuisine. Pulled pork is salty dry meat with no seasoning or additions, just a pile of lousy salty meat. Rice is practically rice-a-roni from a box. Black beans are straight from a can with no flavor either. It’s all bland, tasteless and not worth paying for. I can’t keep going with this negativity because I’m so filled with u satisfied rage after this meal here. How anybody would go beyond a 3-star review is mind boggling.
