It’s all about the donuts! Yes — it is a diner with typical diner food — I honestly don’t know how they remain in business — their prices are unbelievably reasonable. There are not many places where you can still get a full hot breakfast for under $ 7. What I do know is that the Donut Shop & Luncheonette have the BEST old fashioned donuts in the area made continuously and fresh around the clock. These donuts are the kind of donuts you dreamed about from childhood. Tender, flavorful — filled with all the donut goodness that is rare these days. The donuts are made from scratch — they have heft yet are not heavy — always a good variety. Even if your favorites are out you never feel as though you are settling when you try something new. 5 stars may seem a bit over the top for a diner — but like I said — these donuts are second to none in the area. Strictly rating the donuts — much deserved 5 stars.

Classic old school diner. We had a late breakfast there and it was all we expected except for the unSlope price. Best of all, they were very very nice. Comfort food with folks that want to make you feel comfortable. Good deal.

I order from here because it’s basically the only«american diner» in the neighborhood that’s decent. I stopped coming here regularly. However, they have amazing chocolate glazed donuts. My Mom had food poisoning today from eating the turkey burger. I asked for the manager, and no one was available to speak with me. They requested that I call back in the morning. Professional establishments should ring the manager/owner and have them call me back immediately(especially on Mother’s Day — and my Mom was the one that got sick). If you want your order to be delivered, expect a mistake. 9 out of 10 times you will have to call back for something. Again, amazing, fresh donuts! I am still waiting for a call back from the manager in reference to the food poisoning!

Moved in around the corner a few months ago and go here all the time. Especially good for a late night meal. Servers are friendly and the price is right. Donuts are great too. Theres always a few regulars who are real characters in there and it feels like you just stepped back in time… Very authentic, old school diner.

A neighborhood staple left over from Old Park Slope, this place has a great location on 7th avenue and 9th street and is open 24 hours. Affordable food,(especially by park slope standards) this place is what you would expect from a neighborhood«greasy spoon», nothing fancy, but decent food, they deliver and they have cheap, great donuts. at 90 cents they are bigger, better and tastier than at what you would get at the dunkin donuts a block away. On an avenue packed full of ««alt» food joints like sushi, thai fusion etc, its a great place to grab a burger and sit with friends late at night after some drinks. While in the daytime I would rate this place a 3 star experience, when you are hungry after an evening of friday night drinking and you stumble off the F train and realize you dont have any food at home. this little greasy sp0on becomes a neon Oasis! Summary: Open 24 hours Great location across from F train Afffordable Decent Food Great donuts

This is the sort of place you’re comforted to know still exists in Park Slope. Greasy breakfast food, sometimes with a smile, sometimes with an attitude, at a price that will shock you.

Open 24 hours a day, and conveniently located next to the 7th Ave F/G stop. The service is usually good late at night, the waitresses are quite friendly. Weekend mornings are often a different story, it can be a struggle for the waitresses to remember you exist. Very cheap food breakfast food, but not especially good(dry and stiff pancakes, tough waffles). The spicy pork sausage and bacon are both excellent, but your doctor probably doesn’t recommend eating an entire meal consisting of those meats. If you eat in late at night and order a sandwich, they will often give you a complimentary bowl of soup. I’ve never had a donut from here.

A diner with«donut» in its name! It’s not so different than a lunch counter you might find in a bus station. The staff are older Brooklyn people who are kind of crabby but it’s not you. The food is cheap; I survived a hard year in large part due to Donut. Terrible lighting, but that goes with cheap &24-hours. There is nothing elegant in the presentation, or actually in anything here, but it’s dependable, and that’s what it’s about. I’m pleasantly surprised it’s still in business, because it’s a very down-to-earth, easy-to-use throwback in a very changed Park Slope. Also: everything bridget e. said.

o.k. i confess. you could wear a «house coat» and a beehive and enjoy your margarine spread wonder toast with a side of eggs, bacon and doughnuts. and you would never ever ever never ever see an angsty hipster or a coddled tyke running amok. the daily news is read here. the daily news is lived here in formica and linoleum.
