Just say that you are a teacher, working at a school that is across the street from Home. And say that you normally bring salad to school in a Tupperware container. And say that you never have cash on you. And say that one day you forget your lunch at home. Disaster! Home to the rescue! Their sandwiches are so delicious and they take cards! If you ask for extra vegetables they give you a real heap of pickled daikon and carrots with several stalks of cilantro and a whole jalapeño in your sandwiches. I can’t speak for the classic but tofu and chicken are great. I’d avoid this place from 11:30 to 12:15, though, if you don’t want to be surrounded by the middle schoolers that frequent this place at that time.

what is this watery mayo drenched mystery meat so-called banh mi that I just put in my mouth? The bread part was okay but it was dripping watery mayo that did not taste right… please check the expiration date on that mayo… and I ordered grilled pork… but what the heck is this brown thing they put in? is this even meat? run far far away… or you’ll be running to the toilet.

Ordered the grilled chicken Bahn Mi, got nuked roasted dark turkey meat swimming in mayo. Disgusting. Never again.

One of the most inexpensive lunches you can get around here. For $ 6 you get a big bahn mi, and the grilled pork is pretty generous. It’s a small place, but perfect for grabbing a quick bite, and the staff is very friendly and solicitous.

I’ve came here a few times for their Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Thai Tea. Both were very delicious. Today I had the Banh Mi Classic and was delightfully surprised. The Baguette was warm and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meat was of great quality and just the right amount of cilantro. Would come back again, the only downside was minimal ambiance and not too much for seating.

Quality sandwiches and love that it’s right by my place. Not much ambiance, but I just take my stuff to go.

Very poor excuse for a banh mi. A few half-hearted pieces of pork, too much mayo, and some carrots.

Once again Unilocalers are spot on with the solid 3.5 stars. Have walked by here for years but finally caved when it was too cold to walk to Hancos or Lotus. This is no Hancos but at $ 6 for a giant bahn mi you certainly can’t complain. The 2 women who run the place are super sweet and certainly make you feel at home when dining in in this tiny restaurant(where you are squeezed in between their delivery moped). We tried a pork and a shredded chicken bahn mi which as noted were huge(about 3 or 4 inches longer tha hancos) but a little light on the meat. Nonetheless they were good and hit the spot. We also tried one of their seafood«crepes» which was pretty sweet but still tasty. I will probably be back but only when I don’t feel like making walk to hancos.

Stopped in for a coffee but ended up ordering some Bahn mis. The sardine Bahn mi and classic were both great! Perfect balance of texture, flavor and spice. The bread was warm with just the right amount of crunch. The milk ginger tea did not sound appealing but it taste great. I will definitely be back.

This is another one of those park slope spots designed to make you think you’re getting something authentic. There is nothing authentic about microwaved pork. If you rated this place above a 3, you’ve never been to a real Banh Mi shop. Seriously sheeple, this is overpriced garbage.

This little banh mi shop is cute and makes a mean sandwich. The baguette is airy and fluffy so it doesn’t cut the roof of your mouth with every bite. Flavorful and filling. Owners are also very friendly. Gotta go back to try their boba ^_^

They may not be the best banh mi in Park Slope(I see you Hanco’s and Henry’s) but it’s our nearby joint and they are so nice in there. I think a sandwich runs $ 6 or $ 7 and that’s fine with me. Customer service goes a long way!

Not my favorite spot to grab a Vietnamese sandwich but perfectly acceptable. If you are right there and want to grab something go ahead. You wont be blown away and you wont be disappointed either. The bread they use is not the greatest and i think the sandwiches are a drop smaller than what i am used to. The inside is pretty ugly so i would suggest take out as the way to go.

I admit their Bahn Mi sandwiches are pretty good. They make it fresh, so it takes a LONG time. Worth the wait, but not the price. For $ 6, it was TINY! Maybe in Park Slope, Brooklyn, that’s standard, but I’ve been spoiled with authentic $ 2 bahn mi sandwiches from San Jose, CA, the heart of Vietnamese and Mexican food at dirt cheap prices. As for the boba, it was TERRIBLE. It was diluted, and not frothy, like you’d usually have it at quality boba houses. I even asked them NOT to put ice in it, and it already tastes diluted.

Unsweetened black bubble tea, wonderful! Noone ever asks if I want it unsweetend, but they do, so I love them. Also, their pork Bahn Mi is delicious. Great price, great food, but not quick, everything is made to order and made to order slow. So just plan accordingly :)

Yet another banh mi spot, on my quest to try them all. Very nice sandwich, and skip the mayo. I was satisfied, it tied me over while I workout at the rock gym!

Great banh mi and bubble tea. I really think this is my favorite one in brooklyn; this is partly due to the fact they are open at night — when I get a craving and the places on 8th Ave are long closed. Also there is no occasional attitude like some of the other places … this is because of the location of course but I’m happier to do without it The main lady is funny because she has most prices memorized, she has surprised me when I’m kinda burnt, when she’s like 13.07 right after I order. the first two times I was like What??? Ohhhhh

Let’s accept that Vietnamese sandwiches will cost more than $ 3.75 outside of Chinatown. $ 6 is reasonable, considering the amount of veggies and meat Home puts into it. The ingredients are good and fresh. The service is slow but not to the point of getting angry, and if you do, then you need to learn some patience. Relax and get rid of the little six year old inside of you. Call ahead, it’s a good idea. My favorites are the classic and grilled pork(which they reheat by microwaving and I don’t mind that since it would take forever to make on order. The salads are good, which I think of a Vietnamese salad without the bread. The bubble teas are typical, nothing mind blowing or disappointing. Good. Tiger Lily in Bed-Stuy/Clinton Hill should learn from places like this. I always return Home for a good Vietnamese sandwich. Last, if you like it spicy, tell them to make it spicy and you can handle it.

Spent one and a half hours doing stone work in a garden along my block last night with my head up in the clouds, enjoying the nice yet breezy weather. Came into this Vietnames sandwich shop since my roommate was raving about it when I came home. Ordered the Classic Banh Mi for $ 6. The wait seemed like an eternity as my head was still up in the clouds — so much so when I got my bao, I actually forgot to pay. A Chinese-Vietnamese girl asked the other guy in Cantonese if I paid yet and proceeded to give chase as I realized and turning back towards the lil shop. Handed my 6 bucks apologizing as politely as I can. Got home and even though I knew they should probably just charge $ 5 given the neighborhood they are in, I gave them the chance. It’s good but«Meh. I’ve experienced better.» You can get a flakier French roll and more meat in Chinatown for $ 3.75.
