Ichigo Sushi is a very nice, quiet, and delicious sushi place. When I went there yesterday, I ordered a sweet 16 roll, ichigo roll, lobster roll, king crab roll, and soft crab tempura(I was eating with other people, I promise I didn’t eat that much) I also ordered a coconut milk tea, something that they didn’t have the last time I went. It was delicious! Very coconutty and very good. They also came out with a tuna fish which was complementary that was also delicious. Our servers were both very nice but one of the waiters seemed to be a bit shy and quiet and it sometimes took a while for someone to come over and help us or check up on us. The tempura wasn’t my favorite but the people I was eating with loved it. I didn’t try the crab roll but again, the person who ordered it liked it a lot. My personal favorite is always the lobster roll. The mix of tempura, avocado, and this orange sauce is always the best. The ichigo roll was good too. It was a fried banana roll with strawberries. I don’t really like fruity sushi rolls but this was good. The sweet 16 roll was gorgeous. It was a pink roll with strawberries, tuna, and avocado. I didn’t like the taste of it but that wasn’t a fault on the restaurant. It was just more of a personal preference. I also checked in and while I was too full to accept the ice cream, it is a good value for what you pay. I love this sushi joint. It’s the best I’ve been to. I gave it three stars because of my experience but it is a good place and I recommend it.

There are some cheap sushi spots in Bay Ridge that are average or beyond average, but this place was awful. The salad was rotting and the sushi had a fishy smell, which is a bad sign(fresh fish should not have that pungent fishy smell). Would not recommend! You can find more affordable Japanese restaurants with 10x better sushi quality.

I absolutely enjoyed every bit of the experience from placing the order for delivery to eating desert ! I placed an order at 10:45 pm & was very happy with their service when I called through the phone! They delivered the order within 30 minutes of me placing it(I didn’t know it was right before closing and I felt so bad)! As far as service goes, I was very happy to get the items for the price I paid. For $ 30 i received a spicy king crab roll, yellowtail sashimi with yuzu sauce, spicy crunch salmon, salmon and yellow tail roll, Thai iced tea, and I checked in for a green tea icecream! My favoritesss for a midnight snackie. They delivered fast, with the Bazillian condiment sauce I requested. The fish were all edible as far as I know(not old and stanky) Thai tea was on the sweeter end, good size good price.

Try the Lion King roll! They have great sushi. We’ve tried many sushi places in the neighborhood and this is our favorite.

I have to start by saying that sushi is not one of my favorite foods, but nonetheless from time to time I need to mix things up a bit. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday night, so not surprisingly there were only a few other diners. The décor is pretty basic for a casual Japanese spot. We were seating right away and given a menu with quite a large selection. After ordering they also gave us some type of on the house sushi-hard to say exactly what is was and the waitress had a difficult time explaining to us as well. I could have sworn I heard her say«Dinosaur Egg» and maybe that was a wacky name for it, as it was shaped like an egg-it was spicy tuna with some crunch stuff surrounded by avocado. Tasted decent, wasn’t worth finishing. I had a mango mani salad(around $ 5) which was a pretty nice size and I was happy that the mango was good and fresh, since I wasn’t sure it was necessarily in season. My steamed gyoza came 6 to an order which I feel is a bit more than usual and still at a reasonable $ 5. To finish my meal I had an(eel) Dragon roll, which I also thought was a decent size for the $ 8.95 price tag. All in all a decent meal!

I really enjoyed coming here on a whim. We ordered so much food! But it was all amazing. We started with bubble teas — yum! I had taro. It honestly didn’t have any taste. It was just OK. They gave us a small complimentary fried appetizer — I believe it was eel. Very tasty. We also ordered the fried calamari… my fav. However, we only received 7 calamari rings and the order was $ 7! I won’t be ordering the calamari here again. It was good but not even close to being worth $ 7. I order maki combo C — cali roll, shrimp tempura and salmon. All very good! I also substituted my house salad for a kani salad and that was amazing. Lastly…we got one of the special rolls. I do not remember what it was called but it had crab and tuna with a honey wasabi sauce. Sweet, but very good. Overall, it was a great experience and I’m sure my boyfriend and I will be back!

This is the best Japanese food I’ve had in Bay Ridge. The chicken teriyaki is excellent — very fresh and delicious — and the sushi options I’ve tried are great, too. The server who is usually there at the front desk is very kind as well. Great service both for dining in and delivery. Highly recommend!

I’m going to be honest here — this isn’t an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant. It’s owned and run by Chinese people and I’m 100% sure of this because I heard them all speaking Cantonese to each other. But, let’s also be honest, a lot of sushi restaurants are the same exact way. If you want real, authentic sushi run by Japanese people, you’re going to have to go somewhere else. For your standard fare of sushi rolls and chicken teriyaki, Ichigo will hit the spot. In fact, I really enjoy their chicken teriyaki — it’s very tender and the portion sizes are huge. I’ve had it as a straight-up entrée and as part of a bento box before and I have not been disappointed either time. The fish is pretty fresh and I haven’t had a bad sushi roll before. Their sushi pizza is also pretty tasty as well. Check in on Unilocal for a tiny cup of ice cream — just enough to clear your palate after a savory dinner.

Came here for dinner with my friend, we were hungry and chose Sushi over burger. We just check Unilocal stars before we came in, saw 4 stars and thought must be decent. By the time i sat down, i wanted out. But we were so hungry, didn’t want to go searching again or wait in lines during Christmas Eve. When we first enter the restaurant, I can tell this is a non-Japanese own sushi restaurant. The decors are century old, lighting are so dark you can’t see the freshness of food, the darkness is just not a comfortable sight. There was one table prior us. One sushi chef, one server and one cashier/hostess. We quickly order some appetizers, rolls and sushi a la cartes. Food came very slow even there were no orders prior us. So server offered a salad on the house, nice gesture. But, the plating looked as if the it was left over food, not saying it was, hope not. Then, another 15 min later, our fried calamari came, they tried to make it look presenting, yet, it was like 9 pieces, heavily breaded, all you taste is the crunchy, not the calamari which was thinly sliced. Our sushi order came not long after, and missing my King crab sushi. I told the server and she went to put in the order again. When i did get the kind crab sushi, i would def say it is smaller than snow crab, one piece per order for $ 3.75, and it was dry. Other rolls were very average, like your other take out restaurants. Our other appetizer, hamachi kama came after we were half way done with our rolls. It was way over cooked, meat was dry and chewy. ughhhhh. I have a strong and stubborn stomach, I don’t easily get any cramping from any food, but i was not feeling well. My friend and I were catching up, so we sit and chatted. Server was not attentive, she and the hostess were chatting behind the counter most the time. We tea cups were empty. When she did came by, she took my hamachi kama plate that was half way done, she took it without asking or saying anything to to us. I stopped her right away! By saying nicely, «we are stilling working on it.» She didnt understand me and I repeated the sentence again. And she put it back down. I find there very rude and unprofessional in her field of work. Overall, disappointed at this place and does not recommend you. I’m not even sure how do they survive in a upscale neighborhood Park Slope competing with other restaurants.

I almost never leave reviews. I’m compelled to review this place because of how awful the food/service was. This was my first time ordering from them I chose the Sushi Special For 2. $ 46 for 16 pieces of their special sushi rolls. A bit pricey, but we were in the mood. The order arrived on time, however… It was the wrong order. They sent us the sashimi for 2 which is $ 10 less and definitely not what we wanted. We called them back to tell them that they gave us the wrong items and that we wanted our original order. They told us that we received the right thing and that’s just how they make sushi rolls. I’m not an idiot, I’ve eaten sushi AND sashimi many times(I even googled pictures just to be sure) and their blatant lie in order to screw us out of $ 10 and to avoid having to fix their mistake was something I’ve never had to deal with over a dinner order. The worst part was they wouldn’t agree to fix the mistake at all and wouldn’t agree to give us a refund. What sort of business does that? Luckily, it was ordered through GrubHub and they were happy to reimburse us for the restaurant’s mistake. Now, this wouldn’t have been as bad if the food they actually sent us was actually appetizing. The extra rainbow roll that came with the order was fine and their salad was nothing special. However, the sashimi smelled like old, left-over old fish. My friend attempted to eat one and couldn’t bare to swallow it and had to spit it out. I absolutely hate the fact that the restaurant got to keep our money and I will NEVER be ordering from here again and I sincerely advice any people trying this place out to be wary because it seems to be a habit of theirs to mix up orders from prior reviews. And in my experience, they will not even attempt to fix their mistake.

I have been coming to this place for about three years(although I’m not sure if they’re under new management since they recently changed their name) but it’s always been solid. The prices are decent and the sushi is good. If you like kimchee, you will very likely get addicted to their spicy kimchee soup. The staff is very nice and delivery is quick. Overall, good spot!

Wow customer service! And with good food to boot. We came in for lunch with our little newborn(mom was craving sushi after 9.5 mos hiatus) and were immediately greeted and accommodated. I think they even put on a Japanese kid song or two overhead for the kiddo(we were the first ones in the restaurant) that was cute. Had the lunch specials(3 rolls with soup for ~$ 9.95 I think) that were more than satisfying. Definitely try the vanilla mochi ice cream for dessert.

every time I come up, I eat here. the atmosphere is nice and their food is great! I ordered a strawberry bubble tea to drink and it was very delicious and fruity! boba drinkers, be warned that the only flavors they have are fruit flavors and taro. but if you like fruity, you’ll like this! we started off with a lobster roll which is great every single time! it’s delicious and it takes a reasonable amount of time to prepare it. they had a mango shrimp special and although I’m never a fan of mangos or sweet seafood(coconut shrimp, mango shrimp, etc.) this was absolutely delicious! I ordered a lunch bento box. mine had: fried rice– which is always my favorite! teriyaki chicken– always delish! California roll– very good but since I’m not a big avocado fan, it wasn’t my favorite spring roll with sauce– Sooooo good! mixed vegetables– that sauce is like heaven! so, clearly, the food is terrific! definitely will come back. the only thing that was weird to me was the music selection. they had Ariana Grande playing the whole time but, it wasn’t anything that bothered me.

This is our go-to place for sushi. The service is really excellent. The waitress remembers what we like and is always very friendly. She is especially fantastic with our 3 year old. She forgives the mess my daughter makes on the table and floor, and gives her«special» chopsticks. Once I was sitting with my daughter in the restaurant for over thirty minutes as my husband circled the block looking for a parking space. The waitress asked why I was waiting and when i told her, she insisted that she give up her parking spot to my husband. She sent out one of her guys into the FREEZING night to move his car and find another spot so my husband could park his car and come in and eat with us. Oh, and the food is also awesome. Their food is as good as Bay Ridge Sushi several blocks down but with a more friendly and personal vibe. A big extra plus is they are willing to accommodate special requests cheerfully.

I decided to order from since they had $ 7 off first order. The lunch special looked cheap so I decided with this place. I ordered the Crunchy Spicy Tuna from the appetizer section and a sashimi lunch special which came with a roll of your choice and I chose the east roll. Taste wise, I was surprised at how fresh it is(for the price.) It was really worth it especially with the $ 7 discount. Though I wished they let me alter my order. I requested for mackerel to be replaced but nope, didn’t happen. I thought they would since Mackerel is obviously much cheaper than tuna, salmon, or yellowtail. Anyway, the reason for the low star rating is because of the Crunchy Spicy Tuna. Although it doesn’t say tartar, it is suppose to be a tartar since it is located in the appetizer section and because it was right next to the Crunchy Spicy Salmon Tartar. I received a Spicy Crunchy Tuna Roll which costs $ 1.50 less than the tartar. I called them about the mistake and the lady tells me that when they receive the online order fax, it doesn’t show the pricing so they didn’t realize it. If that is true that is doesn’t show the pricing, then I can see why they made the mistake. But still, I waited 40 minutes hoping to eat a tartar, but instead saw a random roll instead. The lady offered to refund me the difference in pricing. However, it’s been like 3 weeks and I see no refund. Yes, $ 1.50 is not much but they should of been honest or send me my actual item that I ordered(which is what they should have done since it wasn’t my mistake). Btw, the name is weird. Ichigo means strawberry. Strawberry Sushi? Ichigo sounds nice to people who don’t understand Japanese but then again, I shouldn’t expect much from non-Japanese operated sushi places. EDIT DONOTTAKEMYREVIEWDOWN. Ichigo has yet to refund me anything which means they are not honest.
