Drink price $ 10in a 7 ounce cup that was only filled a little over half way. Small place. Went there on a night when they had performances by underground artist. That was cool. But as for the drink, I approached the owner about the drink and he put a lot of effort in trying to convince me that the«little over half filled cup» is the way he serves his drinks. I paid for it. Tipped the bartender and left the drink there. Any place can have potential but one must see the big picture. Good luck in lasting. I was not happy. I would t recommend this place.

I love Lox Lounge especially since they have re-invented themselves including new décor, lighting and a fantastic sound system! The outdoor area which is large and furnished with comfortable bench seating is a wonderful place to chill out with one of their delicious drinks. Lox also offer music for everyone on any given week day but my favorite nights there are SoulJah Sundays with it’s a small intimate crowd that gathers just to hear great Reggae music and Catch-Ah-Fiya Thursdays, the long running networking event that is a staple on the NY Reggae scene because they host exciting weekly themes based on consciousness music. The Lox kitchen offers a small but tasty selection made to order from their affordable $ 5 menu; nightly drink specials include everything from beer to mixed drinks and the service is friendly. They have two large flat screen TV’s and I enjoy sharing football nights around a nice group of people. I also like the fact that the neighborhood Lox is located in is trendy and easy to get to with the subway being only about a block away. I give them a great rating because all things considered on every level especially the warm and friendly atmosphere and service, they make it easy for me to have a reason to stop by and once I’m there I always feel welcomed.

Went on a Friday night. The place is near a lot of restaurants in Clinton Hill. Cool, laid back young but mature staff, awesome outdoor, although it was too cold to go out there. I’ve been there before for an art mixer, it was a great night. However the last time I went on 12÷19÷14, It was pretty dry. We still had fun in the VIP section but everyone outside were just standing around. I guess the night depends on who’s party it is. *Suggestion: I think a lil social network /PR magic can get this place rolling and not leave the night up to chance to who’s celebrating their birthdays. Hire or collab with a promoter who can bring in the crowd you want.

Lox has the potential of being a great local spot for afterwork weekdays and nightlife on weekends. staff is friendly and place is clean. I don’t drink, but I didn’t hear any complaints from those that did. It’s unpretentious, so you should be too. Looking forward to see what the warm weather brings in regards to local support. The crowd it seems to attract are mature, drama free and there are various«dj themed» nights, so there should be something for everyone depending on the day of the week and musical tastes. Brooklyn’s in the playoffs, so I expect they’ll be showing the games on the big screen tv located above the bar. Nice back patio area seems perfect for cooling off if the inside gets too crowded.

I was invited to celebrate my girlfriends 30th bday at Lox Lounge ! I had the best time! She reserved a private area for her quests, we had bottle service, yummy party platters, the dj shouted her out all night!!! everyone in the bar knew it was her bday and keep buying her drinks! the people were super friendly… the dj was awesome. i believe he’s a regular there on friday nights. drinks were great! not too expensive. but definetly cheaper than the city… i love, love love the back yard!

CUTE. SEATINGINTHEBACKYARD. I came here this past summer through an invitation from a friend of mine. I had passed the LOX for years when I used to live in Clinton Hills and never walked in. I actually worked for a year next door at KUSH when they were still in business! Anyway, they need a lot of work. 1. It’s too dark, please fix it with some cute trendy lighting. 2. Your drinks are too expensive. This is Brooklyn, not Manhattan. 3. Upgrade your furniture. I don’t think that 2 couches and 1 table will suffice. 4. Advertise! There were like 10 people for the whole time I was there. The backyard I love! You can smoke and drink and just let loose.

My friend and i stumbled into this place after some late night deserts at Kush café. we herd some music… and got curious… you walk its a little strange… but we were like OK we’ll get a drink. soda was flat, tonic was flat. very sad.my kettle one was quite mad… so i ended up drinking it with cranberry. not a big fan. but ah ok! the local peeps in the bar were really friendly… they were drinking the«lean back» hmmmm looked a little too pink for me! the drinks were pricy to my surprise? Come on! It’s fulton and putnam! seriously! you can’t charge $ 9 for a cocktail! So anyway… the only thing that I may go back for is for sunday reggae night. perhaps…that apparently is the hot night. so I guess. look out for an updated post! Good potential… but needs work!
