Absolutely an authentic Italian restaurant with fresh and delicious food. Highly recommend!

As I’m sure you have read on many other reviews for this place, the service is fantastic. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with smiles. You might not know you are in New York by how nice these people are. The owner Sam stopped by our table a couple times to chat and make sure we were happy with everything. Now let’s get to the food. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, a Margherita pizza, and a house salad. The pizza has a thin, slightly crispy crust with just the right amount of crunch to make it sturdy without feeling like you are eating a cheesy cracker. Tomato sauce tasted just like Nonna used to make– spiced just right and not too sweet! Fresh mozzarella and lots of basil to top it off. Loved this place and can’t wait to return.

I’ve now been here several times over the past few months and have had a great experience each time. This is a family-run restaurant and every time we’ve visited, the staff has been so warm and welcoming. Our most recent visit last night was exceptional, so I’m finally writing this review. We visited with my in-laws and our 7-week-old baby, who is usually good when we take him out. Well this time, he decided to start screaming his head off the second we placed our order. We desperately tried to calm him to no avail and were trying to figure out if we should just ask them to pack up our food to go. Meanwhile, a customer at a neighboring table stood up and disparaged us for bringing a crying baby to the restaurant. Before we could decide what to do, the owner, Tony came over and asked if he could hold the baby. He was instantly calm in his arms, and Tony carried the baby around the restaurant for nearly 30 minutes, allowing us to finish our meal. When we left, Tony and his wife told us not to worry about the baby and that we were always welcome back. I was so touched by their kindness and hospitality. Also — the fettucine alfredo is the best I’ve ever had. Great pizza too.

It’s fine but it’s nothing extraordinarily special. Ordered some Capricciosa pizza, got charged $ 3 for a topping change on only half the pizza without any notice. So despite that annoyance, I thought the olives were really really salty and the rest of the pizza was just fine. The atmosphere is kinda fun and lively and they made the inside look it’s got some history but all in all, there’s better pizza around, so it’s mostly just a pre-game for people going to the Barclay Center than a valuable addition to the Park Slope or Brooklyn food scene.

Amazing food and even better service! We loved it. There is a reason it’s 5 stars. We had a great time and we loved everything about it. We will recommend it to everyone and be back!

So, I had to wait a week or so before I reviewed Patsy’s, so my head was clear(dramatic — I know lol). The boyf and I knew we had to go to Atlantic Terminal Christmas Eve for some last minute shopping(bless our souls) and I needed some pizza before entering that craziness. Pulled out Unilocal and this spot had 5 stars, I’m like WOW, right by Barclays… let’s try it. Here we go, the good: The service was unreal. Not sure if it was because I mentioned Unilocal or what, but the wait staff was all over us, like literally I thought they were going to ask for our numbers at the end to hang out. Water was constantly full, pizza came out fast, they even treated us to a shot on our way out. I couldn’t believe how great the service was. The A-OK: I walked out of the restaurant, torn. Should I give them a 5 star because of the service? Did I want to be the person to ruin their 5 star rating? Should I just be honest with myself and my fellow Unilocal community? Well, here I am at 3 stars because the pizza is just A-OK. Crust was thin and too crispy for my liking. I like a combination of slightly crispy, but still chewy crust and this did not satisfy. The toppings(we got prosciutto and half sausage) were solid, but you can’t really go wrong with those. The cheese and sauce were both good, but could have used a little more. The price for one pie was steep for a not perfect crust. So there you have it.

Stopped in for a late lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Sat in the tented space in the back. The tent let in the natural sunlight and brightened up our already bright day. There’s one pizza without cheese and that’s what we shared. With pepperoni. Crisp crust spiced just right tomato sauce and fresh pepperoni. Great meal. And oh yeah there are heaters so a cold day(finally a cold winter day) didn’t feel so cold at all. And the host was very very gracious. We will be back!

We stopped in the Monday before Christmas around 2 headed back home to Boston. Gennaro and his team made us feel like family from the moment we sat down at the bar. The space is really lovely with all of the wood. We loved the pizza with it’s perfectly charred and chewy crust. We’ve eaten a lot of pizza. The tiramisu as recommended by Gennaro is delicious and the homemade Sambuca was worth the detour. We’ll be back.

This rating is based on service… as I’ve still not even received my food. Called in my order… they said 20 minutes. I showed up in 20 and waited at the bar for an hour. Twice they said it’s coming. Never even offered me a drink I left and called again before coming back. They weren’t even aware of half my order. They said come in in 5 minutes. I did that, and now I’m waiting outside in the cold…20 minutes later. Unreal. They really could care less and I’m blown away that I’m being treated like this at a restaurant with such a high rating.

I live in LA: It is IMPOSSIBLE to get decent(authentic) pizza in LA, so I was VERY delighted to have a chance to eat a slice from Patsy’s on the December Solstice, hot out of the oven, served by Tony, who was contributing to the Flatfoot parade along Flatbush Ave.(Thank you James to setting this up). What a great experience! In walking along streets in NYC, I saw another Patsy’s and assume they are related but i would go back to the one on Dean St. for the experience of a truly wonderful moment, totally NY!

The place is cute and the staff was friendly, but the pizza was unfortunately underwhelming. I came in for lunch with very high expectations– which were not met. The crust wasn’t great– way too chewy for my liking. I got the straight up Margherita pizza– which to me, is the best… perfect amount of protein, acid and aromatic. There was VERY little cheese(I know– fresh mozzarella isn’t like typical pizza joints– I know what I’m looking for) and there was literally 5(I counted) basil leaves on a big ol’ pizza. I was extremely disappointed– for $ 19 too? Yikes… I know there are other options out there– and that’s what I will choose for next time.

What can we say about this restaurant? It is truly outstanding. First the service is wonderful. Tony is so friendly and nice, he makes you feel welcome even if(like us) you are new to Brooklyn and staying for a short time. He is wonderful and friendly. The bar tender Jazz(?) is possibly one of the nicest bartenders ever. Just a really nice guy! Gets your drinks quick, makes you feel welcome, great guy! Now… The food… It’s fantastic! The pizzas are to die for. The crust is perfection. The pastas are sublime, my boys loved the penne alla vodka. The cannoli… You have to try it. My husband is raving about them still. I’m going to be honest there are a load of pizza places, it’s NY after all, there are a load of Italian restaurants. but Patsy’s really is a cut above. I can’t tell you how unhappy we will be to have to leave Brooklyn and not have this on our doorstep.

My hubby and I came here when they first opened… It was fantastic! They didn’t have a liquor license yet but to sit out on the patio, eating delicious food was good enough for us! The staff was so kind! We will be back for sure!!! Ps: we have recommended this spot to out of towners going to Barclays!

Pizza’s a solid food, but I’m pretty sure it’s flowing in Park Slope these days. A few years ago, there were just a few local joints, but now with Barclays, all these fancier shops are coming to town. The last time I had Patsy’s was from the one in 23rd street in the city, and I remember it being great(this was pre-Yelp… so a long time ago). Was having a rough day and was craving pizza, so I decided to place a pickup order at Patsy’s(the benefits of living 3 blocks away). Another benefit is that my single pie was ready in less than 15 minutes. Showed up a bit early, and was graciously greeted both by the owner and the bartender who took my order. Sat at the bar, drank some water, and watched some TV while my pie was ready. The pie in question was the Verdura, which came topped with mushrooms, red peppers and basil. Three of my favorite things. Great crust — just the right thickness for a 16″ pie. And I can never get enough of fresh basil. Anyway, Patsy’s is a deceptively large restaurant, so great for groups. Sounds like they have a great backyard, so will definitely return when it’s warmer out. Until then, it’s all pickup orders for me.

Amazing just doesn’t cut it because this place is so much more. My husband and I come here every time we need some cheering up, or just want to go somewhere to eat some delicious food knowing we will not be disappointed. The food and the service can’t be any better. Top notch! Genaro is the BEST! He’s one of the main reasons why we go to this restaurant so often. You come to this restaurant and feel like you’re at either a family member’s home or a close friend’s home. The warmth and attention from Genaro and the staff is something that cannot be topped anywhere else. And the food… this is real Italian! The pizzas are all DELICIOUS and if you’re into pasta with seafood, you got to have the Scoglio dish. If you’re in the area, do yourself the favor of dining at this restaurant.

Patsy’s is kind of the new kid on the block in Park Slope’s restaurant row. We had no trouble finding the location after walking to the area from downtown Brooklyn. What I understand is that this location is an extension of the pizzeria originally made famous in Harlem, which drew us to have dinner there that evening. We were walked past the bar(only beer and wine available at the time), dining room, and kitchen and seated on the back patio, which, upon entering, gave an immediate impression of ambiance – sort of juxtaposed with their ordinary, empty indoor dining area. String lights, wooden tables, quiet conversations by other patrons. Along with a house salad, we ordered their original pizza with pepperoni and basil as our toppings. There was a bit of a wait for the food to come out, but we understood that a whole pie was being baked in their coal ovens. The salad was good, and we had no problem finishing the pizza. Its thin crust had a nice sturdiness to floppiness ratio, as expected with New York style pizza. The only issue we found was that the basil didn’t seem to be cooked through and rather thrown on top at the last minute. As this was a sit down dinner, my dining companion was eager to have dessert as well; on pizza dough of course with Nutella, strawberries, bananas, and crème. While most of the ingredients still went well on the crust, the crème seemed to only provide a decorative flair(we could have done without it). The dessert pizzas are the same size as their normal pizzas, so between the two of us, a slice each was more than enough and the rest had to be boxed up. I would recommend sharing that portion among a group. The service was fine, from the hostess welcoming us at the beginning to the manager checking on us at the end. Our server was nice, but grew inattentive during the latter half of our meal. Otherwise, we both enjoyed our dine and appreciated a laid back introduction to the famous Patsy’s brand.

Location: I have never realized the place is famous after all. But luckily, the manager told us that they were rooted from Harlem, and now spread out its brand to brooklyn, queens, manhattan. Bravo The decoration is fairly old school to me. When we first stepped in, there was a small bar, which consists hundreds and thousands of liquors. And the manager introduced us through their first«dining hall», and then a fairly outdoor place is in front of us. There were lots of interesting photos hanging on the wall; I felt like maybe those pictures were part of the history of this Pizza place? We were there early and lucky so we get space right away. Pizza: we were here for real new york pizza, I guess. And we had Margarita and pepperoni pizza. Delicious without doubt! They made it fresh and baked in a huge oven. Love the topping, the freshness, the well-balanced structure between dough and cheese. And I appreciate the thin crust, very easy-to-bite, and not dense. Service: we were welcomed warmly by the owner(my guess) and all the waiters are nice, patient to us. Very pleasant experience in a pizza shop is almost impossible but at here, it is what you will get. Overall: 4.5 stars. No doubt, if I could come back and have another bite, I would.

Very happy to have Patsys in Park Slope. If you like super thin crust pizza, this is a great spot. The warm inviting space feels like it has been there for years — comfortable booths, nice looking bar. Staff was incredibly friendly and kind — not at all perturbed by the presence of so many little ones on an early Saturday night. Pizza was terrific: nice sauce similar to Totonno’s and Grimaldi’s(when Grimaldi’s was actually Grimaldi’s), but a wafer thin crust that won’t leave you feeling stuffed after a few slices. We also had the veal sorrentino and chicken cardinale, both of which were well cooked and very flavorful. The tiramisu was worth the visit alone: creamy, dreamy, just a tiny touch boozy and the right hit of coffee to end the meal. They don’t deliver to Center Slope but I understand why: this is not the kind of pizza that travels well. But when we’re in the mood for a pie out, Patsys will definitely be on our go-to list.

This place is located on a block with two other Italian/pizza places, tough competition yo. I feel like this one stands out with its customer service. Honestly, we were treated so well it felt like we weren’t in NYC(ha ha ha ha haha). Also the outside patio in the back feels ultra classy and calm! Shared a della casa salad(greens, olives, onions + mushroom) as well as a margherita pizza. The salad was a good starter, and definitely a healthier option than a caesar salad. The pizza was amazing: light dough that bakes crispy enough but thick enough to hold toppings well. My friend and I split the pie and left without massive food babies which was a nice change from other pizzerias: P The server came over and told us to Unilocal them(since they’re new I’m guessing), which was really cute. They also made sure we were enjoying our experience which I greatly appreciated!

I stopped by the other night after attending an event in the area. I was excited to try the place out since I heard great reviews about other Patsy’s establishments. I arrived around 9pm on a Thursday evening. There was only one other patron inside the restaurant area; however, the backyard patio seemed to be fairly busy. I decided to sit at the bar since it was somewhat open air with the front doors open. The bartender Hana was absolutely exceptional! She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgable. Unfortunately, when I came they did not have their liquor license yet. I know the place will be jumping once their liquor license comes through. With a prime location near less than a 2 minute walk from the Barclays Center and such a nice atmosphere business has to pick up eventually. I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatballs which was mediocre. The spaghetti came out piping hot. The meatballs lacked spice and flavor. The leftover spaghetti I had actually tasted better the next day once I added some salt. I was also served bread with oil which was very tasty. Nonetheless I will definitely be returning and I’d recommend it to others. Next time I’ll try one of their pies since that seems to be their specialty. Hopefully they’ll have their liquor license when I return.
