HUGE slice of pizza. Extremely filling but not in a tired sluggish way. Super yummy! I suggest to do a simple take out instead of waiting for a table because it is just pizza. All slices are $ 5 but worth it. I had an artichoke slice. Perfectly cooked but I also suggest waiting a few minutes for it to cool down so it is not as messy

$ 5 for a terrific slice of pizza! Artichoke Pizza was big and thick! The white sauce was creamy and oozy which I enjoyed. The crust was too thick and there wasn’t much to it. Crab Pizza was big and thin(I definitely like the thin aspect better)! There was a generous amount of crab meat.

this pizza is fantastic. the slices are enormous, you can split it up over 2 days and have 2 meals! and then have exclusively salads for the next 5 days, but it’s okay… a woman’s got to live and feel alive. i’ve been telling my friends it’s kind of like pasta on top of pizza, it’s super rich and alfredo-ey. but also delicious. remember cash only, though! ATM there but there’s a $ 2 charge to withdraw

They are not messing around with these slices! I just happened to be in the area and popped in for a quick bite. I got artichoke on thick crust and a slice of margarita on thin crust. You must try the artichoke pizza! I couldn’t get close to finishing both slices, but look at the photo and you’ll get why.

My boyfriend and i stopped here tonight, the workers are very friendly and the pizza came out fresh! The artichoke slice I had tonight however was on the salty side. It was my first time here so I’ll be back to try another slice.

My bf and I finally tried Artichoke’s pizza after passing by their Manhattan locations so many times(after we already had dinner). Ordered the 2 slice 1 beer combo for $ 14. It was money well spent late night meal! The slices were massive. Artichoke slice — It was about ¾″ in height. More of a bready/doughy pizza. Lots of creamy white sauce. A little too much salt for my taste, but otherwise very interesting flavor. I felt like I was eating breadsticks with creamy soup. The crust was crispy and not soggy which was a plus. Margarita — good ratio of tomato sauce, basil and mozzarella. A little thicker then thin crust. I would try the other flavors the next time I’m near an another Artichoke Basille.

Just as good as the Manhattan locations… Without the commute or the lines! I was so excited to find out there is a Brooklyn location and have been meaning to try this place forever. Artichoke pizza was amazing, so creamy and cheesy. As always, each slice is huge and it’s messy eating it. Come with clean hands or Purell because there is no restroom there. Cash only but there’s a ATM inside.

Seriously it is like eating perfect doughy pizza with creamy dip. No wonder artichoke pizza has such a cult following everything is so good. Run here!

I had their artichoke slice in Manhattan. A big fan of an artichoke slice as it is huge and creamy. After hearing previous great reviews of their crab slice, I decided to give it a try. It was rather a bit disappointed. On the slice, you have imitation crab meat. Seafood on pizza usually doesn’t go together. I can see what they were aiming for, but it fell short of expectation. Stick with the Artichoke slice.

Placed an order for delivery and they make one perfect pie. The margarita pizza has so much robust flavor laced with some wonderful sprinkles of different cheese’s as part of their famous recipe. Also picked up two slices of their signature Artichoke pizza in an Alfredo sauce. Never had a slice like this before very filling but was excellent as well. Overall nice establishment for a pie best in area.

Nice spot and very filling. $ 5 for a sizable amount of pizza however it wasn’t a game changer in my opinion. I got the recommended artichoke pizza which was almost worth the $ 5 due to the size of the slice but in terms of flavor, it was so creamy that it tasted like chowder poured onto bread that I could hold. If I had to go in depth about flavor, all I would be able to muster is «creamy bread»… I tried adding pepper and oregano but still only got the taste of cream cheese. It was worth the NY experience however the store is small /not customer friendly and the price was a little much for a slice of cheese, BUT the service was on point which is why I gave it 3 stars instead of a mediocre 2 star cheese pizza rating.

Artichoke Basille’s Pizza, you are a genius to put a location near the Barclays Center. Great business choice. A must thing to get here is the Artichoke pizza, obviously. $ 5 for the biggest slice of pizza you will get. Awesome slice of pizza. It is so YUMMY!!! 1 slice of the Artichoke will definitely filled me up. 2 slices gave me Artichoke coma and that is not including the large $ 5 rice ball we got. Started to struggle the last few bites of the 2nd slice. The rice ball wasn’t bad at all. It will definitely fill you up if you ate that alone. Definitely your money worth.

Let me take you back. It’s 2010, I’m young, impressionable, and new to visiting the city. I meet up with some friends and after a long night of drinking and dancing, someone suggests pizza. I think it’s a fantastic idea and the person takes me to this pizzeria and hands me a slice of crab pizza. I think it’s kind of strange to put crab on a pizza but then I take a bit and it’s like heaven in my mouth. I don’t really remember much from that night. I think I remember the name of the place, and boy do I remember the pizza and it wins as the best pizza I’ve ever had. Cut to last week. It’s six years later. I’ve been to the city a bunch of times since then but for one reason or another I hadn’t made it back to Artichoke to have the crab pizza again. This trip I decided this was it. No more being without the best pizza I have ever had. It ends now! One night for dinner, after a very long day of walking around and sightseeing we decided to take the train to the Barclay center and walk to this particular Artichoke. We walked in and were disappointed to find out it wasn’t an actual sit down place. Thats okay, we would make it work. We wanted pizza, damn it. So we order our slices and my siblings and I split two chairs and sit at the bar. I get my slice, take a bite, try to savor, and… meh. It was really good, don’t get me wrong! BUT it wasn’t the best pizza I had ever had. I had beer goggles that one night in 2010. So. Is Artichoke pizza good? Yes! Its tasty and cheesy and overall made for a great dinner. Is it the best pizza in NYC? I really hope not because then I’m disappointed in pizza. Will I be back? Absolutely. I hear the meatballs are to die for and I’d like to visit the actual restaurant.

The spot in Brooklyn is hit or miss, sometimes it’s on par, others it’s downright criminal. Inconsistent pizza, check out the original on 14st if you can, they make it great all the time!

The soup they put on the pizza dough is ok, but they NEED to add ARTICHOKES ontop. There’s none in the sauce, just crab. So they add a small amount of Artichoke ontop. Just enough to tease, maybe. Not enough to charge $ 30 per pie! At $ 5 a slice, a little Artichoke would be nice. They are really cheap with the Artichokes.

This #location is good because there’s no line. But I also felt like the Artichoke slice wasn’t as good as the 14th St location. Maybe because it wasn’t as fresh. Slower turnover. So maybe lines are good for #pizza.

Whenever I go to Artichoke, I order the usual — artichoke. It is soupy and cheesy — just the way I like it. Their margherita pizza is also delicious. The slices are huge; on sober days, I save the second half for later; on drunken nights, it’s the total opposite. This was my first time at the Park Slope/downtown BK location(I usually go to the one in Greenwich). The staff was efficient and the slices are solid! I recommend that you should try it at least once.

Ya’ll. I love artichoke so much that this is probably my 3rd review at a different location lol. Pizza is always fresh. Workers are friendly & they open til late! This is great because after a night of drinking with some colleagues you can grab a quick bite to eat. My favorites are the Artichoke slice & Margherita. Pizza has never been the same for me since.

Could not ask for a better pizza for $ 5. Normally, red sauce on a pizza is absolutely required, but the Artichoke pizza at(where else?) Artichoke Pizza has forced me to reconsider. There is only one table, so be prepared to stand while eating. That said, it’s a great way to grab a quick bite if you’re in a rush. The store has a shelf table where you can stand. Take a moment to enjoy the delicious pizza goodness before scarfing it down and heading on your way. Food coma to follow.

Delicious and unique pizza unlike any other. A must try. Get the artichoke pizza, basically taste like spinach and artichoke dip in good crust. Slices are huge. You can but by the slice or pie. Also, have beer and a few apps. Limited seating at this location. Order and pick up at counter. Really, go eat there. Upon arriving to NYC it was suggested to me twice within a few hours, unsolicited.

After a long day of eating thanksgiving food & a drive from Connecticut the bf & I were jonesing for some pizza. Artichoke, shockingly, was open. I called & orderedpick up. 20min for a margarita pie. What the guy didn’t say though is its cash only! my biggest pet peeve. But the pizza was so bomb that I had to forgive him. Food: Margarita pis($ 26): pie is on the pricier side but I guess it’s because it’s a hip artisanal spot. It was ready in 21min. Oozing with cheesy goodness, they top it with fresh grated Parmesan & basil after its out of the oven. The crust is thin but not as thin as you would expect which I liked. Sauce is a bit sweet & tomatoey, very fresh. Each slice is equal to 2 slices from somewhere else Overall fantastic, can’t wait to try the other pies.

This was my first sober Artichoke pizza experience. In hindsight. maybe that is the problem with this review! The purpose of this trip was to get an Artichoke slice for my boyfriend, who has always wanted to try one. Admittedly, we were both a little afraid of it. there’s something innately terrifying about its pooling, greasy, cheese-laden mass. It honestly just looks and tastes like it’ll give you a heart attack if you eat the whole thing. Needless to say, he loved it. I wasn’t quite as enamored, and found it too rich and buttery. For the faint of heart, I recommend splitting it. Artichoke slice aside, we also tried the meatball. I had some trouble deciding on which slice to order because everything else on the counter looked so burnt! Not in an «artfully charred» way but in a rather unappetizing way. Unfortunately, the meatball slice tasted burnt as well, and I couldn’t get past the flavor of it on the crust. However, the meatballs were seasoned perfectly and absolutely delicious, and I did enjoy the few pockets of crust that escaped the char. To make a long story short, come here intoxicated so you can appreciate the pizza properly!

I was at Barclays center for a concert & after the show everyone was pretty hungry we all wanted something quick & easy to grab before heading home. Our car was parked in this direction so we decide to come in. Small place, there was a line & not a lot of space inside for you to stand in not much to be said for décor. Line moved quickly enough initially we wanted to get a Sicilian pie but that was going to take 35 – 40 if I recall we of course did not want to wait that long. I don’t know if it was the time but there were not a lot of options left for us to choose from we ended up getting 4 slices of the Margarita pizza & some Garlic knots. Nice size slices, pizza was very tasty good sauce & cheese w the basil. The Garlic knots were delicious, dripping in garlic so good… good size pieces as well. Needless to stay the food hit the spot, prices are ok service was quick mission accomplished here if in the area I wouldn’t mind stopping by again.

The pizza is good but if you are into to thin crust pizza forget about it because the pizza at Artichoke is made super thick and dense. I’ve seen the flour that they use, the flour make with high gluten flour, not regular flour but HIGH Gluten flour. Unilocal and Seamless shows them as open and when you call them to confirm, they say they are closed. They have conflicting information which is very confusing sometimes when placing and order. In addition they have a $ 20 limit for delivery which is a bummer because you end up ordering more than you really want just for delivery. Any pizza that your order will be good but Make sure to order your Pizza well done, so that the pizza crust can be crispy. Their menu is very limited as well. Their main attraction is the Artichoke pizza.

After being a fan of their 14th street location I was like wow artichoke in Brooklyn wooo hooo. The amalgamation of cheese and artichoke is devine and delish. Plus the size of a slice is ginormous!!! I like that word mmmm ginormous. So I ordered a slice and decided to try their stuffed artichoke which if done right can be very good. When I got home and cracked the box, grabbed the garlic salt and was ready to dig in. The pizza was mm yummy but as I continued eating my memory over took my taste buds… Hey this is not ginormous or the same size as 14th street WTF!!! The taste was the same but I felt cheated, ripped off. If this is a chain why is their a size difference from one location to another. As i got closer to the crust the topping was thinning out like the hair on my head ooohh noooo!!! And who says size doesnt matter??? Those people that say that are friggin idiots. Dam if you charge $ 5 dollars I want my moneys worth. From now on I am sticking with 14th street this is a disgrace. Now stuffed artichoke is not for everyone. The artichoke heart was good and seasoning ok. Not too bad. But the pizza needs to be more consistent with other locations too be worthy of a return visit from me.

The best food in the franchise! Fresh pizza not reheated a million times like most of the other locs. The margherita is thicker and tastes like the good days of yore. The pizza meets the standard and the stuffed artichoke is amazing! What’s not: No seating, just that little ledge in a good sized space– annoying The same I don’t give a sh. t service like they are doin’you a favor Yes this is an a great addition to this part of Fifth, but show some customer service to the nice folks of Park Slope & those who visit!

Finally, pizza delivery that actually hits the spot. We weren’t huge fans of Artichoke Basille’s when we had the sloppy, gloppy mess that was the place’s namesake in the West Chelsea location, but we had high hopes for a better delivery option when the kids demand a slice in the Slope(if I never see the inside of Smiling Pizza again, my live will have been well lived). We ordered an incredibly expensive margherita from here with high hopes… and it really delivered. Pound for pound, this was one huge pizza, so we froze a bunch for later… but it was a thing of beauty right out of the box. Kid AND parent approved. My one complaint is the very limited set of options for pizza. No mushrooms, no ham, no pineapple… not exactly looking for esoteric toppings and was disappointed that there weren’t but 4 or 5 toppings available. Also, tried to order last week at 430 on a Friday and we were told there was a 70 minute wait, so watch out folks: this one’s already on the radar. We’ll definitely order from here again when we need some more stash for the freezer and a fresh slice or two for good measure. Great addition to the neighborhood.

My friend raved about the pizza place Artichoke … Decided to give it a try after a boozy brunch & nap lol. The Madonna concert just ended so it was people everywhere ! We walked across the street into this cute little place. There was a long line at artichoke & only one option of pizza was available. I had my eye on the crab pie. We told the cook & started making the pizza right away ! After waiting a few minutes he offered us free bottle of water. Everyone in line was ordering the Artichoke pie, which looked very delicious& creamy ! The pizza came out about 20 mins later. The cook only charged us for one slice since we waited so long. I really appreciated it ! Two huge New York slices … Delicious !!! I couldn’t finish it all. I would def recommend others to try it out ! Im not into chains but I couldn’t resist a New York slice. :)

I’m pretty sure the world is conspiring to give me a heart attack. I mean, why else would they open up an Artichoke two blocks from my apartment? If you’ve never been to Artichoke, you seriously need to. A few months back, I took two of my friends to the West Village location for their first time and it blew their minds. I wish I could experience the Artichoke slice for the first time again. Anyway, they opened up last month and are sure to become my go-to drunk/hungover/incredibly hungry spot. Artichoke slices are $ 5, but as their price board says, they are huge. Crab and vodka is also available at that price. For $ 4.50, you can get a Sicilian or a Margherita slice. Now, I’d never eaten anything at Artichoke that wasn’t their namesake slice, so I was wary of their Margherita, but it was actually quite good. Aside from the fact that they put the basil in the oven and it was burnt beyond recognition, I thought it was a fine normal cheese slice. Would’ve been better with basil placed on top toward the end of cooking, but it was still good. And of course, the Artichoke slice was just like they make in the city. The thickness of a small pie with ooey gooey, artery-clogging sauce. Not for the faint of heart, I assure you. Crisped up so well you didn’t even need to fold it because it had structural integrity. Honestly, it may be heretical(especially since I’m from NY), but that is a must-have slice. Anyway, looks like they don’t have their beer license yet, so it’s just bottled waters and fountain sodas for now. They have a humongous kitchen and not much in the way of seating. Standing room counters and some benches inside and out, but no real tables. A very welcome addition to the neighborhood, though my tune may change when I have my next checkup.

Ordered: Artichoke pizza slice Pros – It had plenty of artichokes chunks scattered on the pizza. It was very fresh. Cons – The slice was hard to eat with my hand because of its ginormous size. The crust(one of my favorite things about pizza) was too hard. The slice was a bit too creamy as well. There were no real seats and tables, making it inaccessible for dine-in purposes. The spot had a wooden shelf that ran across one side of the wall and on another side they had a window ledge with no place to put your food. (I would actually give this place a 3.5 if possible)
