This place is a gem! It has a cute front bar/sitting area with a massive backyard and a cool photo booth in the back. The staff is pretty amazing. I forgot her name, but the bartender with the short cut, lavender hair, was super cool and one of the reasons why i would return again. They have nights where the Dj sets up and pays some cool songs. I need to return asap.

A quant little dive bar in Bed Stuy just a few blocks from my apartment. We came in on a weeknight and there were a handful of people in there — a nice group for a Monday evening. One man had his dog with him! …a very eclectic but easy-going crowd that the bar seems to draw in. We got a $ 6 Stella and a $ 6 Pilsner. Decent price for large glasses. The bartender was kind and very attentive — not in your face though, which is always nicer. They have some colorful, trippy art on display that is for sale. Lots of mix-matched vintage furniture and hanging light bulbs provided the only light over the bar. The atmosphere here is really relaxing. They also use a projector to play old school cartoons on a blank wall(Rocky and Bullwinkle, woo!) If you’re looking for a mellow and dimly lit bar to converse with a few friends(no TV with obnoxious game shows or sporting events here), then Project Parlor is your place. Again, my experience is based on a Monday evening. I will be returning on a weekend sometime very soon.

I went there twice for Str8 West Coastin’ day party this summer. Spacious backyard with plenty of seats. Great music, cool crowd of people there, and good service from the bar considering how many people were there.

Amazing outdoor space complete with a grill for snacking. I went on a Friday night and there was a pretty cool DJ spinning. Crowd is a good mix of skaters, unpretentious hipsters, and regular folk… very low-key and welcoming. Drinks were nothing special but the vibes and ample outdoor space will def have me coming back!

Very solid neighborhood bar, unusually roomy and low-strung backyard, consistently chill and well-meaning clientele, rarely too crowded, etc etc. I have been there during shifts of at least 3 different bartenders, and they were all friendly and on top of their stuff(both with me and anyone else I saw them interact with), though not on the manic-NY clock and more relaxed, which if anything nicely matches the place’s divey vibe. They do have a drink selection behind the bar that should satisfy most drinkers, I usually just get beer or straight liquor and don’t test their mixing skills, then again, that’s not why I go there.

Love, love, love the atmosphere, abrtenders and no frills but attentive service… definitely one must stop for any legendary night on the tiles. Had fun meeting everyone and felt very included. Attentive service and inventive classical mixology from Dyaln… will be back!

Good things first: Good drink selection, lots of space with weird fun seating, EXCELLENT back yard and cool clientele. The Ugly: Man oh man, where did Project Parlor find their bartenders? As a bartender myself, I’m not one to shit on my peers– I understand busy nights and drunk customers– but WOW. The bartenders are consistently not just rude or surly, but downright mean and aggressive. I ordered a cocktail once and the bartender hadn’t fully set up their bar yet. It had a lot of ingredients and after 10 minutes, he handed me a drink that was missing the main liquor. I said something as politely as one can in that situation– he YELLED at me that«YOUCAN’T TASTEITBECAUSEIT’S A WELL-MIXEDCOCKTAIL, SWEETHEART» overcharged me and would not make eye contact or take drink orders from me for the RESTOFTHENIGHT. What is that? I don’t know. I mean, it’s a great spot but be prepared.

Weeks later, I can’t stop thinking about the drink I had at Project Parlor. Actually, I can’t stop thinking about all of Project Parlor, but that drink was perfection. First, things first. THATDRINK! Bourbon, chocolate, orange, heaven. I can’t find PP’s menu anywhere online because I want to recreate that drink(most) days of my life. Side note: message me if anyone knows what I’m talking about. I neeeeed to know! Okay, now that we got that out of the way. The other fantastic things about this place. The backyard! We hung out here all evening and it felt like we were in someone’s private party. In a very casual, very laid-back kinda way. We sat at picnic tables. Had great conversation. Listened to a DJ playing A Tribe Called Quest and old school LL Cool J. Saw a live artist make this painting I wanted to bring back with me to Minneapolis. I met a dog named Delilah. Ate delicious chicken skewers made on the open grill. I witnessed an awkward Tinder meet-up. What more can you ask for?(Besides that drink recipe???)

Every time I go here I have a blast! Good music and good drink specials. It is kind of… not to be rude… musty and low maintenance, however all is forgotten after a few shots! Hipster crowd for sure.

I give it 4 stars because some time ago I came here and the DJ was unbelievably good and I appreciate memories where one can say«hot damn that was awesome». They are too few and far between for me, and I wish that wasn’t the case. So regardless of the fact that this place is weird(in the best possible way) I like it here and I come back now and again. If only to temp fate with the possibility of another awesome DJ set.

Sorry to rate so low, because the DJ and the back yard were great, but the bartender ruined it. Don’t know his name, but he had short bleached blonde hair. He blatantly over-charged me… and I was with a date, so he must have guessed I wouldn’t call him out and look cheap in front of her… but after a few $ 9 Jim Beam and ginger ales, I mentioned the price to a friend who is a regular here. My friend said it must be this bartender’s «special price» for me because his was $ 7. Um, WTF?

So I’m torn on this review. I had a damn good time. I was hanging outside for a west coast kickback and they had a DJ and BBQ. The atmosphere outside of the kickback and inside in the bar were really cool. I like this place. …Now I guess you’re wondering why it gets 2 stars given my general love for the bar? The bartenders were just terrible people. There was one in particular, a flamboyant dude with a mesh shirt, blonde curls, and white plastic glasses, who I just wanted to punch in the throat. Here I am spending like $ 75at the bar and this was just the surliest dude ever. Someone asked him for something(can’t remember), but it was a pretty normal, low maintenance request, and he rolled his eyes and said«eff my life»(replace eff with… you know) in the customer’s face. I loved the place and the atmosphere, but I’m not one for willingly paying d-bags. If I wasn’t hanging with a friend, I would’ve left. But please believe, next time I’m walking on Myrtle Ave, if I see that bartender working, I will bypass the place and go elsewhere.

Maybe it just wasn’t meant to be, but I wasn’t a fan of Project Parlor. The décor reminded me of walking into someone’s weird house party, where there happened to be a bar in the living room. There was a DJ(a dude with a laptop – not hating, that’s how it goes these days) who had a group standing over his shoulder cheering him on. No one was dancing and this was well after midnight on a Saturday. Even if they wanted to dance, there was no room to. The drinks were strong and well priced, but everyone I interacted with was a bit socially awkward. The word clique comes to mind – people stuck with their friends and didn’t want to make new ones. The backyard looked like it could be fun, but February isn’t the best month to discover those things. Maybe I came on an off night, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up coming here. Best part was the bouncer(why does this place have a bouncer?!) who was the most friendly person at the bar.

II don’t remember what cocktail I had here, but it had bourbon in it and was delicious. This was only one of a full list of cocktails that sounded amazing. That right there is reason to return, though I’ll be faced with an all-too-common NY problem — to try something new or go with something you know you love. Aside from the cocktail prowess, Project Parlor has a few other perks to recommend it — free popcorn, a photo booth in the back, and a relaxed atmosphere. If I lived in BedStuy, I’d be a regular. I don’t, but I’ll certainly add it to my out of hood favorites.

Adult partying. Yea, that is what it is. No more frat parties, no more beer pong, no more black outs, and def no more Natty light. One drink her hour, no that is not a problem at all. But, I can see myself headed to an AA meeting soon. At stop #3(Brooklyn Stoops), the bartender announced LASTCALL right as we walked in. But, he told us Project Parlor would be open later. So after stop #3, this was stop #4. But when bartendress said LASTCALL and served beers to us, immediately after that, she tried to kick us out. That was really not cool. You need to let people finish their beers. And remember, this isn’t beer chugging time. This is the adult partying bar crawl. So needless to say, very annoyed with this chick. I know you want to go home, and yes it is 2AM on weeknight, but listen lady, you need to go figure out what LASTCALL means. And what is up with the gangster drive-by rap music that constantly plays here?

I’ve been coming to this bar for almost 3 years now. I used I live 2 blocks away, and even after moving, I STILL come here all the time. First and foremost… THEBARTENDERS!!! 100% the best, friendliest and coolest bartenders in Brooklyn. Period. It’s a cheap place to drink, they have an incredible backyard, the BBQS in the summer(!!!), the dance parties half way through the night. Every last thing about this place is amazing. My personal favorite bartenders are Ramsey and Kevin. Super attentive and somehow always know when you’re taking your last sip of your drink. Also, lets talk about the seasonal bevies… Peach Tea Rum Punch in the Summer and Homemade Cider in the winter. That’s all you need to know. Seriously, the best bar in Bed-Stuy, if not Brooklyn. If you have any beef with this place, you’re just not rolling with it.

My friend Agatha had been bugging me to check this place out for months and I finally got around to it on a beautiful summer evening. I had a great time! The bartenders are super friendly and attentive and really work for their tips. I’m always thrilled when I find a place in Brooklyn with great bartenders who aren’t entitled jerkoffs. The interior is classy yet quaint. The backyard is what really sells this place though. Its huge with tons of seating and great ambiance. I can’t wait to go back here. In fact, I’m going this weekend! Cheers!

Sort of a strange vibe here – as other people have commented on. My sister and I stopped by on a cold night for and felt compelled to go in due to a cozy looking atmosphere. When we walked in there was a terrific hot apple cider smell that filled the air. We promptly ordered two hot ciders with apple brandy. They were delicious! Unfortunately I left and forgot my hat behind, and have since been calling during their alleged business hours and no one has picked up, and there is no voicemail. I know it’s my fault that I forgot my hat, but if you are going to list a phone number, you should at least answer it! Basic customer service fail.
