On Vanbrunt Street, there is a little boutique owned by a little nice lady! The first time I went into Red Lipstick, I was blown away at her friendliness and her easygoing demeanor. Red Lipstick has many cute, trendy clothing that im sure many woman would enjoy. But the fact that this store is in the middle of NOWHERE does not help. Clothing is reasonably priced here and it is suitable for every price range.
She has little cute red bags that say Red Lipstick that are just too adorable!!!
Imnot sure how people would feel about the lack of a proper dressing room, but I thought it was pretty cute having a curtain held up as a make-​shift fitting room.
But seriously, if you ever find yourself in Redhook, hit up Red Lipstick, even if it is just to window shop!

This is a super adorable small boutique with jewelry, clothing, small house décor & other little things inside. I’m not a fancy schmancy type of girl, but despite the prices on the items (and my subsequent fear that set in) the woman behind the counter was totally down to earth and friendly.
I wound up leaving with only a small bottle of love & toast perfume for $ 10 (
) — but I think I’ll definitely be back to check out some more goodies in the future.

Yes indeed, there is a reason that this exquisite and unique clothing store has consistently received rave reviews– One of the best parts– I discovered it by complete coincidence while wandering the streets of Brooklyn! Clothing, jewelry, headbands and other accessories galore… Please do yourself a favor and visit this shop asap– It is like a hidden pot of gold at the end of a fashion-​thirsty girl’s rainbow!

i adore this boutique! they have tons of cute clothing and accessories and all for very reasonable prices. the staff is friendly and will remember you if you frequent them (which i do). it’s definitely a find and i’m glad to have it so close by.

love this place! i can’t go in there because i always buy something and it’s kind of a problem. great jewelry, tights, clothes, and the owner is so nice and really funny.

Very small, very personal, and VERY cute stuff. I have quite a few dresses from this shop now which range from cute-​casual to sexy-​dressy. I also bought a peach leather handbag that I used ALL summer and got compliments on it wherever I went.
The prices are high-​ish, but not unreasonable considering you are buying unique pieces. I always get sad when I see MY Banana Republic dress walking down Park Ave on someone else (and often, she’s wearing it better — damn!) It’s definitely worth a little extra to me to know that no one else is wearing my dress. Well, no one else except you savvy Unilocalers, of course.

Too bad RedLipstick moved off my block. I moved shortly after. Related?

Great place! Reasonable prices and lots of stuff to covet. Unique style that is right up the quirky, slightly trendy, hip alley. Great place to find a gift for a hip chick.
The owner, Stacy, is always around the shop chatting with customers and one time, I witnessed her cut a bow off a dress after discussing it with a couple of customers. They decided the dress was perfect without it. How cool!
Living nearby, I end up window-​shopping it practically daily on my way home when it is already closed. :-(But when I actually get to go inside, I always find multiple things to buy at great prices. Don’t be scared of boutiques. They’re selective, edited collections and not always expensive. If you jive with the style of the boutique it will be like having a stylist.

i am in full agreement about this fabulous little boutique. it truly carries a more unique style and has an independent vibe. you do not see the same pieces here that you would see in 9 other park slope/​prospect heights shops. the owner is fantastic — really a lovely person to chat with. if you have not been here before — stop by! you too may be that glowing girl.
