Hartley’s, the Irish pub and eatery that now holds this venue, is freaking amazing. We met the owners Mike & Jim tonight and we are beyond thrilled to have them in the neighborhood. What a lovely vibe they have brought to Clinton Hill. Check ‘em out.

Bartend was very accommodating when I showed my BK Passport and was told they didn’t have the stamp. Instead, she just signed it off as a substitute, and also offered a shot of choice along with the beer I ordered in place of cocktail, which they no longer serve but was the deal written on the Passport. The place is small, but the drinks selection is pretty decent and they do offer a good number of small plates. A laid-back spot that’s good for bar crawls or casual conversations over some beers and finger food.

What happened to my wine bar!!! Sip has changed ownership and is now just another sports bar. The outdoor patio area is a nice addition even if it is super small.

Sip, guzzle, slurp, chug, quaff, suck, drink, you name it, you can do it here. Just a tiny space that offers a lot. Came here yesterday for a couple pints and some food. I had a Peak Organic IPA and the jalapeño grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. The sandwich was kind of small, more of a snack than a meal, but it was very very good. And spicy. You might order two if you’re really hungry. The space is small. And hot in the summer. A box fan was blowing behind the bar, the kitchen is in the basement, and there isn’t a ton of seating. I can see this place getting nice and cozy late nights.

I was worried for a while that this place had closed. It’s very small, but tucked away so I’ve never seen it crowded. Great local spot. Good beers and cocktails, and good food that’s mostly like appetizers. Bar tender when I went was so friendly and made a point of remembering my and my friend’s names. I’ve also walked by on the way home and seen them playing sports or movies on a giant projector screen behind the bar. Unfortunately I moved away from the area, but I hope they keep getting business.

Up and Coming spot. This vision is on the rise. Great Drinks at a great price. The Chili, «The Bacon» Grilled Cheese, and the Blushing Geisha Drink is wonderful as well. LOOKING forward to many days here and the Summer Drink Menu as well.

This place was pretty awesome! My boyfriend and I went on a sunday to watch a college basketball game and to our surprise it was amazingly cozy and welcoming. The owner was very amiable, he seemed to like us even more knowing we were St. John’s alumni: D. The bartender was great! He made us a few drinks, the most notable was orange soda with absolute vanilla vodka, it was almost as if I was eating an orange cream ice cycle! Amazeballs. On to the small bites, we started off with soup. My boyfriend had chili which was cooked to perfection and I had tomato soup, so succulent. We also had bruschetta on the side to share. Later on in the afternoon, I was convinced to try«the sweetie». Omg, it was perfect. The challah bread was so toasty, the imported French fig and goat cheese meshed so well. Whoever the cook is downstairs is the man! Yay Sip! We’ve decided, this is our new bar and will definitely be back :)

This place was absolutely amazing. I literally cannot wait to go back. Get the Côtes-du-Rhônes if you like red wine, absolutely delicious. Also had the antipasto plate with cheeses, bread, olives, prosciutto, & sopressata(sp?). Went perfect with the wine, also perfect to share with friends. Finished off with the chicken parm sandwich. Couldn’t go wrong. It was great. The wine really tied everything together with the nice small and cozy atmosphere on this 15 degree night. You won’t regret it

This is a great little neighborhood spot! The happy hour deal is pretty solid($ 2 off beer or wine –they don’t have liquor). We got a Caprese salad which was excellent, and shared the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and Roast Beef panini, of which the former was better. Chocolate mousse cake was not as good. Great atmosphere, good prices!

I’m a big fan of wine but there aren’t too many wine bars in this area, so Sip is a welcomed addition. I came in for a glass(or three) on a Saturday night, and sat right at the bar. I ended up chatting with the owner who was also bar-tending – she was super sweet and welcoming, and you can tell she cares about her business. I even had a bite to eat from the menu – its mainly small plates/snacks but very tasty, and perfect when paired with the wines. The prices are budget friendly as well, so those three glasses don’t sound too bad after all. A few other people came and went during my time there, but the place had a great cozy vibe, perfect for when you want to drink but don’t want to be too crazy, or when you don’t want to sit at home alone. I can see this becoming my regular go-to place.

Late on a Friday night a friend & I went to the new joint in my hood. Sip. A wine lounge with wine, beer & bites that has taken over the former Luv Tea space. Late night on a Friday. We had wine & dessert. All good. Sitting in the window’s lounge area was great. Like watching a late night movie. The world passing by on screen. people, vehicles & rodents. I thought the Cabernet was a bit pricey. But I had three glasses. It was very tasty. The bartender was attentive. Nice place.
