I first tried one ice cream sandwich and it was OK. Then I tried another one and I almost died in ecstasy… Then my roommate brought another type. and wow. We were blown away by its perfection. I am a very picky sweets and ice cream eater, so for me to say this is rare. My only complaint/suggestion: Perhaps make these sandwiches smaller bites for more money per parts(so it’s less but you still make more money). I think this would attract more customers to keep coming back. Because I must admit I cannot buy a whole one(bigger than my palm) and not eat the whole thing!

pretty yummy, but high prices for gluten free goodies.

Great selection of freshly baked goods, brightly lit atmosphere with street facing windows, remarkably quiet, and well brewed coffee. There free wifi and a couple tables for seating make this a solid spot to work or catchup with friends.

We were walking through the neighborhood when we saw the sign«happy hour, $ 1 cookies», and decided to stop in. It was a great idea. The cookies were delicious! We had the peanut butter and chocolate. They were vegan, but we couldn’t taste the lack of butter or milk. The girl behind the counter was super sweet and the service was super fast. It was too cold outside to try the ice cream sandwiches, but they looked amazing. We will definitely be back!

Nice little place I came here with my husband because we were craving ice cream cookie sandwiches. I ordered the almond cookie sandwich with vanilla ice cream. I was so disappointed because the cookie was very soft like a cake. It should have been called cake ice cream sandwiches. The cookie was way too sweet and it over powered the ice cream. I can honestly say there was no balance in that ice cream sandwich. Soft cake cookie, soft ice cream, overly sweet cookie, and the ice cream taste like cool whip. Personally I like my cookies to have some crunch and for the ice cream to be smooth, rich and creamy. This place is overrated I will not be returning.

This place was great! To start off I got the gluten free brownie which was really tasty and not too grainy like most gluten free desserts are. My sister is obsessed with pumpkin so she had to get the pumpkin cookie(we couldn’t remember the exact name) and she really liked it. I didn’t have the chance to get one of their ice cream sandwiches because it was a little too cold outside for me, so I’m definitely looking forward to trying one in the future.

Love this place… My daughter loves the ginger molasses cookies. The staff is friendly & the pastries are always delicious.

My boyfriend and I were in the area and we needed to pick up a few goodies for a family visit. We looked & called to various bakery shoppes around the area, and all turned us down since it was nearing closing time. But The Good Batch came to our rescue! The sweet lady behind the counter was very welcoming and everything on display smelled and looked appealing! We were able to choose as many different cookies, pumpkin bread, brownies, and the rice krispy treats. I also had a soy milk latte to go and it was perfect! Thank you for saving the day! Also, everyone devoured the goodies!

The store and staff is nice and the sandwiches are constructed nicely — not too big or small and the cookies are good and chewy, but unfortunately the ice cream quality they use does not wow. I think they use Blue Marble ice cream(which I never really liked anyway), but anyway of the ice cream sandwiches out there, this was not a standout. That being said, I am very much looking forward to trying their artisanal haagen daaz batch(ginger molasses), which they did nit have available at the store when I visited.

I had their ice cream sandwich for the first time at smorgasborg in williamsburg today. The stand consistently had a long line and now I know why. The almond cookie was delicious(and gluten free) and the toffee and spread really was a great addition. As other have mentioned, $ 7 is a little steep even though you get a decent sized cookie. The cool haus is sold at grocery stores for around $ 4/$ 5 for roughly the same size. That being said, it is probably the best dessert offering at smorgasborg, so skip the doughnut, gooey cake and itsy bitsy one bite cheesecakes and do dessert right by visiting this stand.

I had the toffee caramel cookie at prospect park smorgasburg, HUGE and $ 7 wasn’t a bad price. Fed 3 of us.

You know how gross it is to eat an ice cream sandwich when the ice cream squirts out all the back all over your hands every time you take a bite? Well this is NOT that ice cream sandwich. This is perfectly easy-to-eat dessert heaven; the cookie is soft enough to break easily off into your mouth without putting any pressure onto the ice cream when you bite, and the ice cream is hard enough to bite through cleanly. A miracle of modern chemistry and/or physics! I got the nutella ice cream sandwich and couldn’t initially decide if I really loved it, but then I couldn’t stop myself from finishing it so I guess I did. I took off a star because I think it’s really overpriced and that would keep me from going back for another right away. But I do want to try other flavors at some point after payday.

TGB is alright. It is a small clean shop. We had the Goodwich and really liked it. That little bit of salt was spot on. The iced coffee and my son’s vanilla ice cream also fine. This isn’t an ice cream shop. In case it matters to you … TGB is a bakery with ice cream sandwiches. They did have vanilla and sugar cones. Smart move for those with kids.

In the handful of times I’ve been to the Good Batch, I’ve been impressed with the mocha, the everything bar, the chocolate chip cookies, an ice cream sandwich, and the general cleanliness of this cute coffee stop. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten a warm and fuzzy greeting from the service during at least two of those times. Think: retro hair Hipsters who aren’t from here but now proud to be part of the Bed-Stuy takeover and would rather not acknowledge or respect the culture, or the people who’ve been here all along. During my last visit at TGB, I was definitely feeling the displaced effect of gentrification that I’ve read about and discussed at length. Perhaps I’m thinking too much of it but in a place as cozy and bright as TGB you would expect a sunny welcome, and instead I got a give me the money, take your coffee and pricey pastry and get out vibe. I was all set to believe that perhaps the counter clerk is just like this, when another customer, clearly not from around here, walked in and got a smile and small talk with her coffee. I hate pointing the not-good-for-the-community finger at TGB when i don’t know who owns it or how it came to be, but simply put I didn’t feel so good at The Good Batch.

We came here for Smorgsborg market and had an amazing ice cream sandwich here. We got the ‘The good batch’ sandwich, the salty cookie paired great with the sweet ice cream, it was large enough to be a half meal, awesome for a hot day at the market.

This review is only for their ice cream sandwich stand at Smorgasborg. These ICS’s are large(seriously, just look at the photos), and go for $ 6. The Crispy: 4 stars Sweet and satisfying, not many complex flavours. These cookies are big rice crispy discs drenched in marshmallow glue, wrapped around vanilla ice-cream. If you like Rice Krispy treats, this is the ICS for you. Toffee + Chocolate: 4 stars This one was really unique. Large and chewy almond cookie with crispy edges to impart that exotic almond /Asian flavour, mashed with rich chocolate ice cream. The Goodwich alleges to be crispy oatmeal cookies with sea-salt, fudge and vanilla ice-cream, and sounded like a gourmet It’s It(but I love regular It’s Itses so much!!) so I might try that next time.

I saw so many people walking around Smorgasburg in Brooklyn with this ice cream sandwich. The cookie ice cream sandwich looked so good! The line was really long but it was so worth it. The ice cream and chocolate chip oatmeal cookie combination was divine. I need another one!!!

Dude. Took one bite of the Brown Butter Salty cookie, and now will have to slash my way through their other goods. One of the single best butter cookies I have ever eaten. Delish! Layers upon layers of flavors, which keep developing as you chew. Bravo, TGB!

The Good Batch definitely had the longest line of all the stalls I went to at Smorgasburg, but fret not, it moves fast! They only have three pre-made options available so you’re handed the ice cream sandwich of your choice as soon as you tell them what you want. At $ 6, it’s a tad bit pricier than what I would’ve liked, but still worth it as you get a pretty big sandwich. I got the«Goodwich,» which was vanilla ice cream between two oat chocolate chunk cookies with sea salt and a bit of hard chocolate fudge around the edges. The whole thing was pretty darn good — the cookies were tasty and sturdy enough to hold up well to the ice cream and the sea salt complemented the sweetness of the ice cream nicely. Overall, while I would’ve preferred a slightly softer and warmer cookie, I can understand this not being possible in the sweltering heat and am glad the harder cookies made for a mess-free eating experience. A great end of Smorgasburg treat for sure!

What I’ve had: Oatmeal Sea Salt Cookie with vanilla ice cream and fudge Would I go back?: Yes Story: Had this @brooklyn smorgasburg as my desert. The line was insane but moved very quickly. Huge cookie ice cream sandwich so to make ourselves feel better we got one and split it. Ice cream was creamy and rich the sea salt and fudge combo put it over the edge and the cookie was of course slightly hard but obviously its going to be not as crumbly and moist because its sitting in a fridge. I would pay the $ 6 dollars again for it
