Uuuuuuhm ok… I’ve had Korean wings in the Wall Street area in the city that tasted waaaaaay better than what I had at this Resto. So many people raved about the wings… but it only fried wings with the a touch of the hot sauce spreaded on top of the wings or a touch of the soy spreaded on top… i had two orders because #1 I was hungry and #2 I wanted to see if the Soy tasted better than the hot wings… as I mentioned before it was some of that sauce on top… not memorable. The Kale salad was good… but the texture of the akorn jelly in my mouth through me off… so I did not get to really enjoy that. Lastly the anchovy fried rice… it was pretty good but very very very spicy… thus did not get to really enjoy it… Overall it was just ok… maybe I need to go back during dinner…

This place is so needed on Vanderbilt Ave. With so many food venues growing stale White Tiger is a breath of fresh air. The food and drinks are original and freshly prepared. They are accommodating to all your needs and welcome families. Yookie and Liz, the owners, are personally there to maintain the best level of standards. After one visit it’s my families new favorite spot.

Tasty Korean food but a bit over-priced. Tried the vegetarian ramen which I enjoyed although I would have liked it more if it had some spice. It also only had three small pieces of tofu… :(. Cozy yet exciting atmosphere. Loved the décor.

I ordered Korean Fried Chicken via seamless thinking it will be a whole chicken since it was $ 18.00! I am Korean and I know Korean Fried Chicken. Normally for $ 18 I can get at least a whole chicken with 2 sides. However, I got 2 drumsticks and 1 thigh with potato salad which tasted like dijon mustard. The chicken was cold and not fully cooked(it was red inside)… And then they sent me the wrong sauce.!! Wasted my money and time(took literally 1hr 45min). If you really want Korean Fried Chicken, please don’t waste your time and money here. go to bonchon or something.

Saturday night we walked into a pretty packed spot… which means two things: 1. The food may be that good and 2. It’s gonna take forever to get a table. The good thing was we walked in at the right time to be the 1st group on the list for a table. We sat at the bar for drinks… The Rose of Sharon is a new fav of mine… you got your Gin, St germaine, rosemary, lime, and hibiscus… just delish. For you whiskey people get The Southie… it will put hair on your chest and you will love it. My friend order their spicy wings at the bar while we were waiting… they were so so for me but my friends thought they were good. Sooooo this is were the hiccup of the night came. Whilst(I never get to use that word) sitting at the bar more people come in and wait for their table… I got the Hawkeye on the host/waiter to make sure he stills sees us waiting so he won’t sit another party. I don’t hear my friend’s name being called so I’m like we’re good. 4 seconds later I see a party of three who came in after us sittng… I’m like ummm excuse me. My friend gets up before me to handle that because my tact is not that great when I’m hungry and have only had Gin in my system. The host is apologetic and it’s genuine. The people get up but then my friend says we’ll wait for the next table… now that was awesome for showing niceness but I wasn’t to happy about it… but we got a free round of drinks for our pain and suffering… yay. So the customer service is awesome. Finally we sit and we order just about everything and shared amongst 3 people… Brussels sprouts, potstickers, kimichi trio, bibimbap, short ribs, and churros. I tried everything but the potstickers(they have pork in it)…and it was ALLDELICIOUS! I mean lick the plate delicious. Will I go back… I sure would!

Everything was delicious! Brussels sprouts were out of this world. Even my kids loved them. The metal bowls are awesome! The happy hour is totally is a must.

2 words. Excellent service. Walked in with my family of 5 and 1 baby + stroller and it was packed. We managed to get seated but it was cramped. Midway through dinner, the customers beside us left and the manager pulled in the table and gave us heap more space. Now that is quality customer service right there. Our comfort is more important to them than trying to fill up tables to make money. — Soy chicken wing was nice and tangy. Must be the hint of ginger in it. — Kale Salad was refreshing but a little on the salty side but I do love the sesame dressing. — the chicken liver pâté was to die for. The chicken skin with a dollop of liver, c’mon! Heart attack goodness! I’ll be back for more of that. — the pork ramyun was of a different level. I make good ramyun, my wife makes amazing ramyun, but this one here is no ordinary ramyun. It’s from Mars. — the Dolsot bibimbap was good and piping hot. That’s the key to a good dolsot bibimbap. Hot hot hot! — the pork ribs are so good. The taste explodes in your mouth and the meats slides right off the bone. All in all this is a great Brooklyn spot. I am so glad to find a good Korean restaurant in my neighborhood. Keep up the good work guys.

So good, and what I like best is that the menu is composed of fundamentally good food and drinks minus the silly gimmickry and dumb New Brooklyn ingredients(rhubarb, et al). Everything is good but don’t miss the fried chicken dishes.

Really somewhere between a 3 star and 4 star review. 4 of us came here for dinner last week(full disclosure: 3 of us were Asian Americans who have lived in NYC for 10+ years) fully expecting to hate on the«overpriced Korean food for white people who can’t tell the difference» experience we were about to have. Yes we are sometimes THOSE people. But not that night! That night, we were Gothamers who could ignore the sh! ttiness of Mission Chinese, «The Bedford Stop» and Menachem Stark and enjoy a tasty meal of dukboki(rice cakes), wings, a braised pork rib dish special that was particularly yummy, and the kalbi which was good but definitely not kalbi. more like steak. yes portions are small-ish depending on what you order, and yes, the food ain’t cheap. we’re still in NYC afterall, people. let’s be real.

Got the chicken wing appetizer — that was pretty solid and unique. We order the bibimbap and ramen — both were pretty solid but, in terms of price and quality compared to offerings in, say, K Town, it was not«memorable.»

Amazing nouveau Korean spot in Prospect Heights. Inventive and tasty takes on traditional Korean dishes like kal-bi and top-pok-ki(spicy rice cakes, called«gnocchi» on the menu. Anchovi fried rice was delicious. So are the deviled eggs(served with fish roe). The cocktail menu is incredibly creative and every one is a hit(my table of 8 tried all of the offerings). Chef is a genius. Best dining experience I’ve had in many many years.

What a wonderful addition to the Prospect Heights dining landscape. Tasty Korean dishes, with a dash of modern influence. The spot is small and decorated with lively art. Very warm and exciting atmosphere. The staff was kind and accommodating and the bartender was highly knowledgeable on not only cocktail and sake suggestion, but also the menu and dish ingredients. Me and my two companions sat at the bar due to the high wait time(45 minutes for a table on a Friday evening at 9:45 pm). We all had a different cocktail, and each were unique and tasty. For starters we shared the Housemade Mandoo and the Chicken Wings. The Mandoo was very pricey for the portion($ 10 for 5 small dumplings) but tasty. The wings were crisp and had just the right amount of spice. For entrees we had the Jaeyook Gnocchi(the best dish of the night and a MUST order), the Ramyun(absolutely delicious, could be) and the Dol Sot Bibimbap(Very flavorful and filling, the meat was perfectly cooked and the vegetables tasted perfect). Overall we left with a great first impression and we cant wait to go back! Welcome to the neighborhood White Tiger!

Service and ambience were nice but this is another place selling overpriced Korean dishes catered towards an American palate. 232 has better Korean food with more flavor and it’s less expensive. Also charging for banchan and rice is lame for any Korean restaurant in general but when the dishes are already priced so high… like, why? I ordered the vegan Mandoo, galbi plate and japchae. Then galbi plate was ok. But the beef didn’t have that sweet marinate that I am used to with galbi. Japchae was just oil and sugar flavoring. Mandoo were ok but idk…8 dollars for like 5 of them? Eh. Will not eat here again nothing stood out as awful but nothing stood out as amazing.

Dare I say it — best new restaurant in brooklyn? Every single dish is amazing. I want to be buried in the gnocchi after I drown in the braised ginger chicken. Please sprinkle my body with the spicy chicken wings and throw the house made kimchi at me like confetti as they lower the casket. Then drink ‘Straight outta gangham”s in my honor and talk about how great my taste in food was. This place is perfect for a date, groups of friends, family… great ambiance, staff, vibe, and did I mention affordable? Go here now before the wait is two hours long!

The 3 stars is more so for the food, we got great service. The Gnocchi was really good so definitely get that. Korean Fried Chicken was bland, though it came with a soy dipping sauce it would’ve been better if the batter had a bit of salt/pepper or just something in it. Dol Sot Bibimbap was ok. but the Ramyun was delicious. The soup wasn’t spicy though it was meant to be, and boy are they stingy on the noodles. For the price, there should be 2 – 3 times more noodles than what’s in there now(especially if they want to compete with Chuko across the road.) Granted they’ve just opened so maybe it’ll get good in a couple months.

Was excited to see this place in the old Pequena spot — the menu had a lot of promise with some unique items(fried chicken skin with the livers, fish roe with the deviled eggs), but none of our dishes lived up to the hype. We got most of the small plates, and it ended up being a parade of underwhelming — chicken liver is nothing special($ 13), the kimchi«gnocchi»($ 14) was no better than the dish you can get at Kimchi Taco for half the price, although the flavor was spot on, the sweet chicken wings($ 9) were mostly skin and bone — a poor imitation of the same dish from Bar Chuko and Kimchi Taco, anchovy fried rice($ 10) was decent, and the deviled eggs($ 6) need to be renamed the deviled EGG as the dish consists of one(one!) hard boiled egg cut into quarters with roe on top — i.e., the yolk isn’t blended. With two beers and two cocktails(tasty, but small), dinner was over $ 90 with tax and tip. Guess that’s the standard for our neighborhood now, but we were pretty hungry on the walk home. Would try again after they get into the swing of things.

You never had Korean food like this one. I am Korean from Seoul and tried most of the Korean restaurants in NY, but this is definitely something different. In a great way. The chef makes a delicious twist in every dish; you will be pleasantly surprised! Everything on the menu is healthy and not heavy. Even the short rib! The cocktails were delicious! I got the white tiger and naughty kimchi. I recommend both. They will make non-alcoholic ones too if you ask for it. Their kale salad was my ultimate favorite. You’ve never experienced a kale salad like this one before. It has seaweed and a special dressing that is light and flavorful. I wanted another bowl! I also tried the bibimbap, galbi, spicy curry popcorn, Korean fried chicken and jaeyook gnocchi. They were all spectacular and surprised us with their flavors and ingredients. Super welcoming place. We loved the service and bartenders. I am so glad I found this place!

This is not your grandmother’s straight laced Korean food. It’s your crazy, creative, offbeat cousin’s Korean food. You know, the one who still gets you in trouble when you hang out, and you’re a grown @$$ adult. It’s completely unique, modern, and colorful, and it’s exceptionally delicious. For Korean purists, the dishes will remind you of your childhood but with a modern twist. The cocktails also — Straight Outta Gangnam is the adult version of the sujeongwha tea you grew up with, but with a subtle edge that will punch you in the face later. This place is exactly what this area of Prospect Heights needed, and I am really excited to see it take off. Just hope I can still get a reservation once people start infiltrating!

Best Korean food in Brooklyn, no question. This place is so modern and unique. Very welcoming and the service is great. Can’t wait to come back! No more traveling to Midtown to get a delicious Korean dinner!
