Really friendly staff, great food, normal prices. They should adopt a No-Stroller policy, though. Shit gets tiiiight. Bark is nice, but so is this place. Much more low-key.

I had a Murray: «Well, I call it the ‘Dad guitar’ ’cause it’s more like ‘Da da da da — I’m your Dad. Hey Murray, get into the shed and get the mower and do the lawns — de de de.’ You need Bret’s ‘Mum guitar’ to add the beautiful tones ‘Come on, darling, Murray’s okay. Why you get home so late, Gordon?’ NO, NOTTHATMURRAY… This Murray: Avocado, Smashed Beans, Mayo, Jalepenos, Tomato, Onion on a Challah Roll It was good… I treated it as a snack and it was a great snack! Trick is, would I normally pay $ 5 for a snack? Was it, good enough? Not a chance. You can case your hot dog naturally using intestines from a Halal Cow slaughtered facing Mecca, feed your cow grass from Peregrin Took’s front lawn and even call your Dog, «Dawg» but sadly, it’s still a hot dog this time. A very good hot dog, but still a hot dog. I’d come back here but it would be more for the novelty of it all… it does not work it as a «Go To» place. I have to say two more things of which may bring me back sooner rather than later however and that is: 1) the Concord Grape tree in the back patio that I was snacking on while eating my Dawg. 2) the two full trays of Mustard varieties… lot’s of hot ones too… best! Waldo Heraldo Faldo: «What you gonna do now Willie?» Willie: «I’m gonna get Eurkel!‘ Waldo Heraldo Faldo: «Why you gonna do that Willie?» Willie: «He embarrassed me!»

Went here with the BF and had a decent time(sitting alone in the back of the restaurant during halloween where the cooks were wearing ketchup and mustard costumes), and had decent hot dogs. I wouldn’t call myself a hotdog connoisseur, but I know what I like. Willie’s had decent hot dogs and a lot of choices. Toasted buns are always an added bonus. It was pretty expensive for a hot dog, and the sides weren’t AMAZING(but not bad either), and we had walked by multiple times before finally finding it open, which are the reasons why it didn’t get the full 5 stars.

We decided to order Willie’s over the weekend after a couple false starts during the week when they were already closed(they close at 9 on weeknights– boo). Seamlessweb made it really easy to choose toppings and pick out what we wanted. The order arrived missing one item(my veggie chili!), so I gave them a call and a very nice man answered. He said he’d send it out right away. In the meantime, we devoured the dogs we ordered: mine was a tofu dog with pickles, tomatoes, and relish. My roommate got some fashion of meat dog that I don’t remember… both were gone within minutes. Yum. His fries were on the stale side, but not terrible. I think french-fry delivery has yet to be perfected, in general. My forgotten chili arrived relatively quickly and with a little surprise brownie tucked in the bag. Both were fantastic! We will definitely be ordering from Willie’s again soon. Very soon.

Best veggie dogs I’ve ever had. Great taste, original menu, consistent high quality. They’ve never gotten my order wrong. They have a wide variety of mustard to choose from to put on your dog/fries, and that’s a big plus for me. Service is friendly and attentive. The place has character, and there’s almost always seating available(avoid school lunchtime). It’s small, with capacity for about 12 people or so, but most people get take-out. It’s a pleasure to eat at Willie’s; I highly recommend it.

I feel I know my hot dogs pretty well. I have been to Bark Dogs, Nathans, several Papayas and New York Hot Dog and Coffee just to name a few, but today I have crowned a new champion(in my own person book). Willie’s Dawgs has a large menu with a great variety of toppings and buns, but it is the dog that it the key factor. For that I recommend their«mutt.» It’s all beef and the casing gives that perfect snap. It has a great blend of spices which combined with the extensive mustard assortment(at-least 12 different varieties!) makes for a great meal. I had the fries on the side which were fine(nothing too special) but the dogs alone are worth the trip to Willie’s. Oh, and also the Challah roll certainly does not hurt.

This DELICIOUS tofu dog making hot dog spot DELIVERS! I called today from work, hoping to mix up my boring sushi and pasta options(slim veg pickings in this neighborhood), and was happily surprised that they DO deliver and that they were willing to deliver to me all the way over on 14th Street! It was delicious. Tofu dog with kraut, veggie baked beans ketchup and mustard on a multigrain roll. Yum Yum and Yum. Highly recommended, particularly for those vegan/vegetarians out there who want a good lunch delivery spot and don’t have time to treck it up to 7th Ave or down to the north slope in between meetings.

I was craving a hot dog in a way that a dirty water dog just wasn’t going to fix. I did a quick search and found this place. It is a short journey from my place in PLG, but it is well worth it. The dogs were so flavorful, the fries were great, and the price wasn’t bad at all. If you in it near park slope and want a tasty link only this place will do.

Only in Park Slope would you have the great hot dog debate which had the blog-o-sphere aflutter late last year with the addition of Bark to the hood, but hands down Willie’s is the champ in these neck of the woods. What’s next, cupcake gate… errrr, scratch that(thanx FIPS). First and foremost, the quality of the dawgs, buns and accoutrement are unparalleled here. I usually get a hankering for the Mutt-O De Mayo(chipolte sauce, tomato, onion, cilantro, melted cheese and CHIPDUST!). And with other specialties with names like Carlos, Spike, Finney, Murray and Sadie, you know you’re in good hands. Secondly, the owner is one of the nicest guys you’ll meet. A la Seinfeld and Baboo, you’ll be rooting for him from your first visit. During baseball season, you can count on him wearing his Mets cap and having the game on the radio so feel free to chat him up about how they’re gonna blow it this year. Thirdly, the little things. Always has today’s paper, clean restroom, bountiful mustard selection, malt vinegar(for the yummy fries) and my favorite feature, a lovely outdoor patio open year round. And they just added Sloppy Joe’s! Haven’t tried them yet but I’m gonna guess it’s just like Mom use to make. Not bagging other dog houses in the hood but if you want the combo of great quality, variety, décor, friendly service and value for your buck, this is your spot.

I really cannot express how nice the proprieter is-I chatted him up about Bark which has recently opened down on Bergen St and he was very congenial about it all. The baked goods are pretty good and the price is right-3 chocolate chip cookies for $ 1. When I eat in he always brings over a cup of water even when I don’t ask for it. Support the neighborhood peeps!!!

Tasty and cheap with gourmet aspirations, Willie’s «dawgs» are good for a meal or a snack. I tried the«Carlos,» an all beef skinless Sabrett dog on a challah hot dog roll topped with salsa, cheddar cheese, and jalapeño. The appropriately named«real live» fries are just that – fresh-cut fries made to order, served hot, crispy, and salty. The cashiers/cooks are friendly, and the décor is modern and cute.

Willie’s dogs are very interesting as the variety of hot dogs and toppings you can get is pretty good. It’s a little bit on the expensive side, but you’re going to get what you pay for — experience of a tasty, yet different kind of hot dog. Fresh bread is a true winner. Expect to pay around $ 5 for your hot dog however — this isn’t your typical street dog.

Absolutely great hot dogs, at a reasonable price with a sheer multitude of topping choices. They make their own buns(the challah one is the best). I usually have mine with cheddar cheese and hot peppers and tomatoes. Another popular choice is the«Willie,» which features cheese and bacon, so you can have two different kinds of meat at once. Nice. The fries are hand-cut and not too greasy. The guys(and girls) who work there are really friendly. This is a good place to take a friend, and sit down for a long conversation. There’s something comforting about eating a gorgeous hot dog here, it’s hard to put a figure on but I like it.

Where are my pants? I know I was wearing them, its where I kept my most recent mouth-full of pills and I know I took those because I cannot, currently, locate my pants! In any matter, if you can find this restaurant go here. Then get tater tots. Then give me said tater tots. And my pants, given you find them.

Willie’s Dawgs is a jewel of a place. The mere fact that they bake their own buns shows you the dedication they put into it.(and we’re talking FOUR kinds of buns, from challah to multigrain) The dogs themselves are delicious, from the basic«mutt» to the fancy organic beef, but best of all are the toppings AND the unique specialty combos named after real dogs they know. And for vegetarians, even better than those dopey tofu dogs is a grilled marinated carrot! I am an omnivore and yet my usual order there is one mutt w/all the fixins, and the SADIE: the grilled carrot with avocado and cheese on a multigrain bun.. . mmmmm! And OMG, real handcut, panko-breaded onion rings!!! And super-nice staff and owners.

I’m not sure why but I’m a vegetarian that loves hot dogs, well veggie dogs would be more correct. Willies is great becasue there are so many different toppings and they have a few different options for buns, I’d stay away from the rye but the others are great. I make the trip to Park Slope a little too often to indulge a Willie’s. I try to justify me trip by coming up with some other errand that I need to run but we all know why I’m really going there.

How many places can tastefully work dog adoption into their décor? The owners are the kindest. They seem to know all the kids from the Middle school across the street. I walked in with my daughter and she was greeted by name and he knew what she would order. I know others have said it all but I really love this place too. The Mutt, the homemade buns, Mustards from many nations and more condiment choices than the Pink Pussy Cat a few doors down.
