It’s Jack in the Box. It’s in Buena Park(my new post which I really don’t like; walk 12 – 15 miles a day with no downtime) and it’s literally across the street from the north facility(an office building and a warehouse). Breakfast all day. All sorts of great guilt–(and calorie-) laden munchies. Can’t go wrong with a chicken club and an order of stuffed jalapenos. I don’t know their supplier, but every other place I’ve gone to only had cream cheese(blech!) instead of cheddar cheese jalapenos. They only have soda at this location, no iced tea(I’m off sodas, but they do have lemonade and punch from concentrate).

July 18, 2014, 10:15pm: Wrong order, worker said she heard me say ‘.99 cent nuggets, not stuffed nuggets’, then proceeded with an attitude that would make a DMV worker proud. At 7 months pregnant, I would not take the time to get out of the car, enter the restaurant, and say this is not what I ordered, if it was not in fact what I ordered. Her attitude was detestable. One girl offered to fix it and she said no, just give her her money back. So she gave me $ 1.07. Funny, per my receipt, the ‘. 99 cent nuggets’ were actually $ 1.20 plus tax, so there’s no such thing. So she stole the. 22 cents, which is fine. I hope they use it to fire her and hire someone who can hear, add, and have some manners of customer service. I’ve lived in BP for 31 years and even had a family member work at this particular location for 10 years. This would have never been acceptable before. So since I didn’t get to eat, I asked my friends/family how their food was and I got«meh» as a response. Lesson: if your order is wrong, you must have said it wrong, and don’t expect it to be fixed.

I’m not going to say that Jack in the Box is one of my favorite places(because it isn’t) but it certainly has it’s pros. 1) it’s a small walk from my house. 2) they serve breakfast all day long. 3) they always have good specials. And 4) the employees here are spectacular. They’re always friendly and they always hook it up. The people who come here on a regular basis always seem happy to see the employees. There’s a homeless man who walks around the area and they gave him the biggest cup and let him come in and get a refill whenever he pleases and I think that’s wonderful. Today I went in with a coupon and paid $ 2.37 for a hamburger and the biggest drink they had. Thanks a lot guys :)

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Jack In the Box, I do. But today, not so much. My daughter and I were on our way to see some family, and I needed to break a twenty. Jack in the box was nearby on Beach Blvd, and we were both thirsty. Buy two small drinks, get a snack maybe, break twenty. Win win, right? Well, yes and no… The guy from the drive thru window talked us into getting the large drinks because they’re a dollar each. Ok, makes sense. Forgot they have the dollar special on the drinks so, yes… cost effective, but really not that thirst driven. I ordered two large drinks and the six piece mozaralla sticks with ranch dressing to share with my daughter. We ALWAYS get ranch dressing with it because its just better that way. With the six piece we’re usually given two ranch dressings. We don’t even ask. And a crap load of napkins because hey, Jack In the Box thinks were messy slobs but whatever. Nothing wrong with that. I save them for later. This location gave us one ranch dressing. And two napkins. The mozaralla sticks were really hot, but on the inside, the cheese was just not right. Like it was dried up or, I don’t know. We tried to eat them. We tried… One star for service, one star for the large drinks they got right.

For breakfast I always get the Grilled Breakfast sandwich. It’s big enough for two people. But the quality isn’t consistant. Sometimes the grilled bread is cooked perfectly and other times it seems like it isn’t grilled enough. Jack, I’ll suffer through sitting in the drive through line an extra thirty seconds if it means I’ll get a grilled, Grilled Breakfast sandwich!

Jack in the Box is always a very fulfilling fast food chain. I’ve never had any real complaints besides a missing taco, or missing sauce. This particular Jack in the Box is my go-to place when I’m really hungry after a long night shift at work. They aren’t open 24 hours, but are open late enough for me to swing by to grab something small and a mango iced tea. Martha, who is usually working the drive-thru past midnight is always courteous, nice and hooks it up with sauces galore without me even asking. I know it’s bad that I frequent this place enough to know the kind drive-thru lady’s name, but whatever. I’m a fan of this location.

I come here after I play basketball and it’s late at night. I like how they close late. I usually get the 2 for .99 taco deal, large curly fries, and a chicken sandwich. Instead of ranch, try mustard on the chicken sandwich. It gives it a nice mustard kick. They have jalapenos in containers here if you decide to walk in. I don’t know if others have it because this is the only Jack In the Box I go to since it’s so close to where I live. Also the employees aren’t too stingy about giving sauces. I always tend to get two sweet and sour sauces whenever I request it for my curly fries.
