And please strain your cream soups! I’m still picking ginger out of my teeth. No one wants huge shards of ginger in their mouth.

I’m only withholding a star because I feel like I need to go back try more! A great downtown lunch spot that is relatively healthy and fills a gap left by the downtown Globe Market(in my opinion). It was clean, open and used fresh ingredients. There aren’t many tables but it seems like most people just pick something up and go. I wish this was the quick option in the lobby of my building! You could get a sandwich or salad to order or could pick from a pre packaged salad. They had a good variety to choose from. I got the buffalo chicken breast and my friend got a huge garden salad both for about $ 6 – 10. They had some sweet treats, chips, and even some vegan bars for guests. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back soon!(Is tomorrow too soon?)

I got the most delicious chipotle turkey sandwich! The place was clean and had a ton of food options. Unfortunately I got there right as they were about to close, so I didn’t get to sit as long as u would have liked to. But the staff were very friendly. I will definitely visit again!

This place was exceptionally average. The food was bland, but totally acceptable. The staff was nice and friendly. I went for lunch because it seems to be the only thing in the area, but if you aren’t already in the building it’s not worth driving to. The menu has very few vegetarian options.

Every time I’ve been to Lunch Box, I’ve been exquisitely pleased. I frequently get the soup and special sandwich! I just love all the different soups they have. Spicy bean soup, potato and bacon, and curried chicken have been my favorite soups. I always love the hot specials like meatball bomber or pulled pork and macaroni and cheese! The staff is always helpful and quick! If you’re looking for a healthy-delicious lunch in Buffalo, stop on by the Lunch Box at the Tri Main building or Lafayette Court Building.

I work downtown and frequent the Lunch Box. Great food, fresh ingredients and overall a great place to get lunch. The personable staff is a plus.

Great little lunch place in the Lafayette Court building. I’ve heard from a few friends and decided to check it out. They have nice size tables to sit at, and if you want you could sit at the window facing Washington street and people watch while enjoying lunch. As for the food they don’t have a huge selection, but decent enough to come back for more and try something different. Mostly warm or cold specialty sandwiches, wraps, and salads. If you wanted something quick they have different salads and sizes of garden, Caesar, chicken Caesar, and Greek to go. I went with a small Greek chicken salad and Mexican soup. The homemade Mexican soup was delicious, filled with plenty of different veggies and not too salty. They ask if you want tortilla chips and cheese on top… of course I do! Who wouldn’t want that option. And the melted cheese in the soup adds a fun stringy texture. The Greek chicken salad was fresh, crisp, and very good, but wish the chicken had a little more flavor and maybe some grill marks(maybe asking too much here). Best part of the salad was the feta cheese was cleverly cut into cubes, so it was enjoyable and easy to eat. Most Greek salads I’ve had in the past usually consisted of a small mound of feta crumbles, which if you think about it really doesn’t make sense for an open salad. Noticed they had a few varieties of homemade cookies, but will have to try one on my next lunch here.

What a wonderful addition The Lunch Box has made to the downtown lunch scene. The food is so fresh, the prices are fair, and I’ve never had a wrap or sandwich that’s been anything less than great. I wish there were more tables because I’d love to sit more often, but I usually take out. Either way, I love going to The Lunch Box, and the sometimes long line is worth the wait.

Well, the cat is finally out of the bag. The downtown business community has finally learned that The Lunch Box is the best new place to grab lunch. Although I’m happy for their success, now I have to wait in a much longer line to place my order! They have a great menu with a lot of healthy options. Today I had a turkey wrap with avocado, sprouts, field greens and just a small bit of vinaigrette dressing. I ALWAYS finish my lunch with one of their incredible little pumpkin cookies. These delightful little morsels are soft and delicious, with just the right amount of icing on the top. For the amount of food you get and the quality, the prices are spot on. My huge wrap and little, cute cookie came to just around $ 8.

This food is generally good and the staff is always friendly but, depending on who’s doing the food preparation, it can be rather bad as well. It seems that their best sandwich makers move on to other opportunities after a short stay here, while the so-so ones linger. It’s gotten to the point where I’ll glance at who’s making the food before I decide whether or not to enter the shop. There are a couple of staffers that will cause me to look elsewhere for that day’s breakfast or lunch. I’d say give it a try… hopefully you’ll get lucky and catch them on a good day.
