Service is horrible. The owner is beyond rude. She doesn’t have customer service at all. Will not go back. Waited over 30 minutes for drink refill and our waiter cut eyes at us. She ignored us completely knowing we needed refills and our sushi was sitting at the bar for 15 minutes ready and no one brought it. Food takes forever, service takes longer. Not worth it. I leave angry everytime I go !

Had a reservation and ended waiting over an hour. The sushi was cut into portions that were too big and lacked good flavor. On top of that our waiter only checked in on us every so often. Over all the experience was not enjoyable. I would prefer Kenzo sushi an exit down any day.

Awful and awfully bad service! I would give this place 0 if I could. Me and my friends came here on a weekday night to avoid the long wait time. We stood at the front for a good 15minutes with nobody bothering to greet us or ask to seat us when the waiters were walking around, we had to wave at the chefs to be seated. The floor and the table were very sticky. We then waited for an hour and our foods were nowhere in sight, the waiter simply gave us a cold stare«Be right back» when asked about the order. After waiting for 15 more minutes and still no food, we asked for the manager and the manager never bothered to show up or offered an apology whatsoever. We told the waiter that we’d be leaving and all we got was a nod«OK», too bad we never got to try the«good» food people raved about. It was not a busy weekend or special holidays that day, mind you. Our experience was not an anomaly, other reviewers also had the same frustration from the rude service. If it took them that long to seat us or to make food, I wonder if they ever bothered to clean the place probably, given the sticky floor and table, or store raw fish in proper conditions. A reviewer complained about a fly in their food! Health inspection needs to check this place out.

Gave them 2 stars b/c the food is good, but you have to wait forever to be served. Went there tonight… waited 15 mins to be seated .not bad but then after you get seated, it took 47 mins to actually get the food. Not to mention that we found a fly in the soy sauce container — which was pretty disgusting. This was my 3rd time there. On each visit, the experience has been the same… you get seated fairly quickly and then you wait forever to eat.

We go here often and love the freshness of the sushi. Sometimes service is slow, but the food quality is never jeopardized. The Niko Niko combo is an excellent choice. Wish there was a location in East Cobb! Carly & Vito

Finally found a sushi spot in the area that my vegetarian boyfriend and I can both enjoy! This is a good sushi spot for vegetarians, with an actual vegetarian section and rolls that are more thoughtful than one or two plain tasteless vegis. I had the Verizon roll, very fresh fish slices, big portions, and great sauce. The presentation is pretty and one roll is enough for a meal. I also ordered a salmon roe that came after the other dishes. The waitress noticed the lateness and apologized for the delay. Why not 5 star? One of the smaller fish cuts was not the right cut, they used a side cut that’s stringy and I couldn’t chew through it. I’m also spoiled by Fat Salmon in Philadelphia, let’s see how Niko holds up over time.

The owner literally looked at my friends shorts and said«next time, I’m sorry» and she frowned at her like she was naked. I mean, we are both from California so I often forget our usual uniform of shorts is kind of scandalous, maybe? I’m not sure but I understand about restaurant dress codes, but we didn’t see a dress code requirement on the door. And we just walked in, like… People walk in to restaurants all the time. And she looked like we were offending her by just standing there. She kept on say«how Can you, I’m sorry but“and kept on motioning her hands«need longer» And she kept on touching her forehead, like we were going to give her a head ache. She obviously doesn’t know how to politely speak to customers about restaurant protocol. then I said that we can just leave and she said«yes I’m sorry but we can’t serve you» and continued«we can’t serve you, we just can’t» and looked at our shorts, her face said«how could they walk in here like that» I understand dress codes, but she was overly entitled in thinking that we knew her restaurant’s dress code. And she was talking to us like we were her employees or something. When you meet a completely stranger, you explain yourself. I felt like she was my aunt from church, which would be fine if she told me I was too revealing, but this is a restaurant and I don’t know you. I don’t know anything about what you«envision» your restaurant to be like, and I always walk into other restaurant with shorts. Don’t assume I know what you want you ideal customer to be like. Why the heck do you have an ideal customer in the first place But after all of that, I walked out and realized I didn’t feel offended, And it feels really weird to realized you offended a service orientated business because you couldn’t do something for them and you aren’t offended at all. And when my friend politely asked for her name, Her face froze in shock, and she immediately asked«why?» Then«I’m the owner» Like she was afraid we were going to tell the boss on her, she is the boss, what are you afraid of? That we were going to tell the Internet? Yeah, we are, but after acting so upfront to us about it, you’re actually going to try to hide in some way? This is the owner, I don’t care that much if a staff is rude to me, I was a server, I understand that some employees aren’t ideal, but this is how the owner is treating potential customers, Since I personally know who I’m giving my money to, I will kindly choose not too And yes, this is who you are giving money to, This lady, the owner. Mrs. «We can’t serve you, How could you expect us to serve you» «Your is too.(Exasperated voice) you need to be in a dress, sorry» «I can’t even properly explain why I am appalled but I’m making it so obvious anyways that I think you look indecent and I’m just going to be extremely offended» «I don’t have a proper template of how to properly decline customers» Lady Since we never got her name UPDATE: Dress code: casual AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

My wife and I love this place! The sushi is so great and it is not that expensive. I would recommend the mall of Georgia roll — super delicious! I would stay away from their sweet tea it has that pre-made factory brew sweet tea flavor to it. They recently remodeled and expanded the building and added a hibachi area to the restaurant.

Used to love this place so much that would take my family there once/twice a week the first few years. Last night was a huge disappointment. Took family there last night — we told them we have 5 people and they seated us at a table with 4 chairs. I asked for another chair and the«owner» gave me attitude —«I can’t put another chair there because it’s too tight!» she yelled. «Well, then why did you seat us there? Would you prefer me standing at the table?» I said to her. She ignored me and walked away. The guy noticed my frustration so he said he would find us a table. I just told him not to bother and we left. I noticed the Hibachi side/section was emptied. They should consider taking all Hibachi grills and add more tables and chairs in there. I was a loyal customer and often bragged about their sashimi and sushi but after last night… I would rather drive out somewhere else.

The sushi is great. BUT, please, please cut the rolls smaller! They are HUGE!(Even for my boyfriend!) one piece literally looked like it could’ve been cut into 4 sushi rolls. Also, I think it’s a bit rude to brighten the lights 15 mins before close. It’s a nice sushi restaurant, not a bar. Otherwise, the sushi is good and the prices are great.(We got 3 huge rolls, 2 salads and an app for $ 50)

My boyfriend & I went to spend our early Valentine together(Saturday February 13th2016.) The host sat us at the sushi bar Bc they seems busy(on the Hibachi side.) we sat at the sushi bar for a good 10 – 15 minutes before getting our waters. All the servers walked by & ignored us. One server in particular kept glancing at us.(Her name is Yuli) she kept looking at us & walking by us but not giving us any service. We can tell she was ignoring us on purpose. Because we were trying to get her attention for drinks. We ordered Sushi & the Seafood lover plate. We waited a long time to get our foods also. Soup came out cold, our seafood plate– zucchini undercooked!, shrimp & scallop was under warm, the only thing hot was our Lobster. We asked our server where is our Fried rice?(Because it never came even after our foods were finished.) she said«They forgot the fried rice.» The waiting game continued! OURSUSHINEVERCAME! We had enough! We flagged down our server. Told her to cancel our sushi orders, Asked for our check, paid, TIPPED& then left. Our Server was great. It’s not her fault the food didn’t come out.(I too am a waitress, I understand the server has no control«when» the food comes out.) We really appreciate our server for not lying to us about our rice.

The worst service I’ve ever received from all of the restaurants here at the Mall Of Ga. Waited an hour on sushi. Yes we should have left ! Very unorganized for a short handed crew on a Saturday night.. I wish I could recommend this place because of location. The service along with being short with my family due to their lack of planning was disturbing. Just choose another place. It will save you the heart burn.. Oh and still didn’t get our shrimp order.

This is my sister’s go-to sushi place, here in Georgia. But, unlike my sushi home in Virginia, she wasn’t recognized or anything. This place is very busy and they have a staff of four sushi chefs constantly making Sushi. If you sit at the bar you can see them working hard on their complicated rolls. I was nervous eating sushi so far inland, but it seems ok. I noticed their selection is limited to salmon, tuna, snapper, and maybe a couple other harder to spoil things. There’s many cooked elements to their rolls, of which they have an extensive and creative selection of. There was an Alfredo one, another was tomato portobello, as well as fun ingredients like cilantro. There’s not a big raw section and the raw fish I did have came seared(which causes the fish to lose a lot of flavor). The rolls were massive, with slices too big to eat. Really, you can get one roll here and be good. Ordering two was a mistake! I didn’t enjoy all the heat at the bar. Ton of sushi dishes came out steaming, and to me, that’s not how sushi is. The Tiger Crunch roll was ok, the tuna on top was not so flavorful being seared. But, the roll was fun to eat and ultimately tasty with lots of crunch and a zap of ponzu sauce. The TJ Protein roll is named after a football player, and quite creative. There was just too much going on. The sushi was huge, due to a ton of krab mix inside. It lost a lot of flavor to the shredded krab mix that was scooped on top and the scallops thrown on. You couldn’t taste the salmon and the rice wrap made it fall apart… if you could even get the massive chunks in your mouth. Fried Mussel roll was ok; though I wonder if it had mussel, I couldn’t tell due to the shrimp tempura and scoops of shredded krab mix tossed all over it. Spider roll took it up a notch by literally rolling up a tempura’d soft shell crab with some cucumber and more krab mix taking up space inside. Way too huge to eat though. I thought their service was quite prompt. Unfortunately the waitress was just there to do her job and the chefs are not friendly, not encouraged to talk to customers, or too busy to.

MY friend raved about this place and told me she religiously goes here every week just to get her sushi craving fix. My first experience here was horrible, I waited maybe over an hour for a table of 6 but once the food came out, it made it worth waiting for. I. FOOD&DRINKS I can’t really remember what we order since I’m sure we order half the sushi menu but here are my usual. **Buddy Prince Roll: This roll has different topping of fish from salmon, tuna, white tail, and eel — not only that it has mango on it! The combination may throw a lot of people off but it sometime you must try! It also come with this special jalapenos sauce. I normally don’t dip/eat my sushi with any other condiments but this is my go to now! I mix it with a little bit of soy sauce and mmmm… it’s over! **Verizon Roll: this roll too come with assorted fish topping And the other sushi I get are Mall of Georgia, Salmon Roll, Fiesta Roll. I can’t remember what exactly is in it but it’s good. That’s all that matters, right? II. SERVICE I think because they recognize my face now, the service isn’t at bad as it was the two first time I came. They sometime seem disorganized and all over the place. The wait time here is horrible though, you just have to get lucky or know when there off hours are which seem to be almost never. I can’t blame them though because sushi does take a long time to make especially if the whole restaurant is ordering sushi. III. ATMOSPHERE/DECOR The setting here at the waiting area is almost overwhelming to be around since everyone is HANgry and the wait is a little long but once you pass that waiting sign, everyone is a little relief and start drinking and enjoy each other company. As for the décor, it is very modern and clean. IV. PRICES I normally get maybe 5 – 6 rolls and an appetizer and the bill normally rounds off to 50 – 70 bucks. V. OVERALL MUSTGOHERE! Best sushi place in the Atlanta region. It is worth the 30 minutes drive from Atlanta. BUT! You’ve been warned, the wait is long but worth it.

It was first time here and I thought this was pretty neat. They had a wide variety of food selections from the many different sushi rolls to their main entrees. Sushi Niko Niko is a small little restaurant but has a nice atmosphere inside. I had their California Roll, Hibachi Combination Fried Rice and Tempura Ice Cream. My date had the Hibachi Teriyaki Combination Chicken that came with Miso Soup and Salads. The food was pretty on point, everything tasted pretty good and the service was pretty good. My only complaint was that there was almost no privacy since it was a small restaurant. Its not that big of a deal but some privacy among other customers would be nice, preferably a booth. If you love sushi and Japanese food, I recommend Sushi Niko Niko. The food was delicious and has a wide variety of selections.

Waited 15 minutes at 9pm tonight, a Friday, along with 4 other couples who were waiting separately before we were even SPOKEN to. No hostess or manager, just a bunch of people crammed into the tiny waiting area looking uncomfortable, without so much as a «be right with you» or «sorry for your wait.» 10 more minutes before we were actually seated without comment. There were around 10 tables open, so this was not due to a mad rush of customers, just a matter of inattentive service. Crunchy tiger, aloha, baked spicy kimchi rolls were ok, but not worth coming back for. More rice than anything else in each roll, and the service continued to be painfully slow throughout our meal. We waited nearly 10 minutes after finishing our food before the server came back to pick up our plates and bring the check. This is my absolute biggest pet peeve when it comes to service. When I’m done, I want that plate out of my face, and unless I’m clearly hanging with friends and drinks, I’m typically ready to get outta there and open up the table for someone else. This is now the nearest sushi joint with any level of atmosphere to us now, but we won’t be back.

The quality of this place has really gone down over the the past year. Used to be a huge fan of this place but it’s quite frankly not the same as how it used to be. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with both Japanese and modern artwork that compliments the simple décor. The seating is spread throughout the dining area which could hold up to 40 guests or so. The menu consist of sushi both special rolls and traditional sushi and sashimi options. The other options on the menu are Japanese dishes like hibachi options, udon, and tempura to name a few. Taste wise the food has taken a dip, not sure if they changed chefs or anything but it definitely tasted a lot better the last time I was here. The service from the staff is still pretty good overall they were very attentive and caring to the guests. This place would’ve have gotten 4 stars if I reviewed it like year ago but now it’s gets 3 stars and that’s being generous. I have hopes they improve by my next visit. I’m not completely giving up hope on this place just yet. My Recommendations: –Mall of GA Roll

I’m really sad to write this as my 1st experience here was pretty good a year ago. As I was excited to give this place another go, I’m torn between the amount of stars I should give. Ideally, I would give this place a 2 ½ because the sushi is pretty good while the service and food from the kitchen is mediocre. So I arrived here with my friend yesterday around 6PM ish. We stood in line for about 2 to 3 mins waiting for someone to come our way, and we were the first in line too. That’s fine. A lady came by and asked how many was in my party; I informed her 6. She said okay and walked off. While waiting there for another 5 mins, I observe that there were 3 empty tables that can accommodate a party of 6 to 8. Like really? It finally took another employee to come by and seat us. And he was cordial but it was a forced one as you can tell by his facial expression. Now on to the food ordering wait… So I asked for 6 waters even though there were only 2 of us at the table atm. Wouldn’t it make sense to bring out 6 straws versus 2?! Then the ordering becomes fun. So it took about 10 mins for our server to come by after everyone arrived. Even after putting in the order, one friend who ordered a beer had to wait like another 5 mins. Does it really take that long to bring out a beer bottle and glass?! The food itself took forever to come out. And even after it arrived, my other friend’s fried rice failed to come out after all of us received our orders: soup, fried noodles, and sushi. We had to remind them too. :/ Now the food critique. Hmmm. 3⁄6 of us ordered the yaki udon, and all our reactions were uniform in that it tasted mostly of soy sauce with a bunch of ingredients thrown in. It was okay and edible imo, but something I wouldn’t recommend. My noodles nor baby lobster was hot when it came out. It was barely luke warm. The portion size wasn’t that much either as the udon noodles were large. Sadly our server failed to tell one of my friend(who is a regular) that only the sushi was good here. Anything else made in the kitchen isn’t advised. Like you tell us this after we put in our orders and finished our food!!! I did sample a friend’s sushi, and it was pretty okay at about 3 to 3 ½ stars. So, I originally want to give them 2 stars, but I feel Iike it wouldn’t do their sushi review any justice so I am going to settle at 3 stars. So, if you come here, just order the sushi. Unfortunately 5⁄6 of us wasn’t into sushi that night so all our reaction leaving this place was uniform.
