First time here. Great burgers, and even though it was busy on a Friday night we got our food super fast. Another thing I loved… they have beer on draft, and a good selection too. Will definitely be back

i never review anything on Unilocal and im big on second chances, but i have to let people know.
this place use to be good when they first opened, now they sold out.
they don’t care about to-​go customers at all.
also don’t go in here late on a business day. its a hit n miss sometimes its good, sometimes its not. depends on who works there. i noticed the employees that know what they are doing usually work the 9 to five shift. after that its ⁵⁰⁄₅₀
they need to up their consistency game. \
also the over all food quality dropped since they first opened up. its still good if u go in at the right time.

Service is implacable and food is delicious! We can wth our dog and they were super attentive to her too! Can’t believe I hadn’t come here before. Next time we’ll come back to try the beers!

I was running late to meet with my lunch group with my 5 year old and Liset one of the managers took my order from the table. Talk about excellent customer service. Thank you Liset!

Tried out Hook Burger for a quick lunch last week. We were choosing between Hook and Umami. Since Hook had higher reviews on Unilocal,it won out.
The burger was good, but by no means mind blowing. I had the Maui burger and added avocado. Everything is better with Avocado.
For a drink, I originally was going to get the Passion Fruit Ice Tea. The container it is served it says, «just a tad sweet.» However, the lady taking my order warned me that it would be sweet. I was surprised, and she suggested I try it. In the words of my mother in law, this ice tea was «sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeett.» I chose the green tea instead, which was perfect.
I will probably go back in the future, but it just may be a while.

The burgers are pretty basic, nothing special here.
The service is great but the food let me down.

Stopped in here for a quick Friday lunch. Got here right before the lunch rush when they got really busy.
Service was very friendly and attentive and the prices were very reasonable for the delicious burger I got (Maui burger — $ 5.95, +Swiss cheese — $.75, +bacon — $ 1, and fries $ 2.50)! Asked for some garlic aioli on the side to complete the meal!
Great food. I’ll definitely come back the next time I’m wanting a quality quick/​inexpensive burger in Burbank

Pretty good burger place for Burbank. I just hate the wheat bun, it’s pretty bland and falls apart easily even when I get no sauce in my burger! 3.5−4 stars overall.
FOOD:
Chili Burger (sub chicken patty) (3.5 stars): Not spicy at all, well at least it wasn’t for me.
Grilled Chicken Sandwich (3.5 stars): Good sized chicken breast, moist and cooked well. The wheat bun needs to be better though.

Everyone is really nice here. Large orders to go take a while, usually longer than they say.
ATMOSPHERE (4 stars)
Gets pretty busy! The line to order is a little awkward since it’s near the bar and you’re kind of just standing in everyone’s way waiting to order. Seating inside and outside. Nicer outdoor seating here compared to the other restaurants in the Empire Center. Love how they aren’t stingy with sauces and give you whatever you want to try.

We happened to be walking behind all the restaurants and saw hook hiding behind outback/​Olive Garden.
The place is actually really homey and cute inside. Everyone working there today were extremely friendly!
We ordered the California burger, grilled chicken sandwhich, the trio, and two iced teas.
The burger and sandwhich tasted awesome! The meat was juicy and so flavorful. I’d def go back just based on that. The onion rings had to be my favorite part of the trio. So crunchy and delicious.
The fries were okay. A tad soggier than I would like.
It was a great experience and I’d go back.

I ate a burger here. I enjoyed my burger, but there is one thing I’d change.
First off, though, I will say the burgers are stacked — juicy and overflowing with toppings. I had bacon and blue cheese on mine, which as far as I’m concerned are the two best things you can put on a burger outside of the usual lettuce, onions, etc…
… however, the buns here are weak. Real weak. When you’re serving up a mammoth mountain of meat and toppings, make sure you use buns that can hold that beast in one piece. My burger bun split down the middle like too tight jeans on a huge ass right after the first bite. I spent the rest of my meal precariously holding it all together while I attempted to mow down as quickly as possible.

Hook burger is a pretty good place. The food was great and tasteful. This location is pretty cozy. The bar part is kinda small but the interior is nice. When u place your order there is a monitor that displays the menu. I jus wish they had a menu right by the counter for the people with bad vision or their first time there (like me). After you place ur order you find your own seats which is cool and they bring your food to you. There is a plus to this place. They do have outside seating that is heated.

Hook burger gets you HOOKED! Not only are their burgers remarkable, the service entirely compliments the perfection of the joint.
If it’s your first time, please try either the California Burger (bistro burger) or their pretzel burger. I love the California Burger because I love avocados with everything. The pretzel burger is a bit heavier, but more fulfilling if you’re starving and need a bigger meal. The fries served is perfectly cooked and traditional.
My gosh, their service was top notch. I adored every single one of their employees and their attitude. They were positive and seemed to be under great management because they were super helpful and incredibly caring. Hook Burger is a great example of a successful business.

Thick juicy meat patty.
–Hickory Smoked bacon.
All the goodies that make a great burger rolled into one great burger.
–California Burger.
So delectably juicy. Comes with avocadoes.
–Kids meal chicken tenders with a side of fries.
Didn’t taste it so I can’t comment.
–Onion Rings.
One of my favorite Onion rings with breaded outer shell. So crunchy outside, tender inside.
–Sweet Potato Fries.
Not a fan. Tasted too salty.
I like their generous portion in their sauces.
Their Honey Dijón, BBQ sauce, & Ranch dip is excellent!
Service is swift, fast, & on point!
Love this place!

If you’ve ever been to the Empire Centre in Burbank, parking downright sucks.
So good luck with parking.

Unilocal Challenge 2016: ⁶⁄₁₀₀.
What’cha gonna do when you’re hungry on a rare rainy afternoon in SoCal? Go eat a hot, juicy burger I say! Hook Burger showed up on my Unilocal radar and I gave them a go. This location– with many small store fronts in a crowded outdoor mall– isn’t my favorite, mostly due to parking constraints. I like an easy in ‘n out… if you know what I mean. But I will admit that the California burger, $ 6.95, with avocado, arugula, Swiss cheese, red pepper & grilled onions was good enough to make me forget about the rain and the parking.
Add to that: onion rings, $ 3.25, with ranch dressing and a Hank’s Black Cherry float for $ 4.75, and you’ve got yourself a satisfying cold weather meal. My only complaint, food-​wise, is that the Hank’s was a bit too medicinal tasting for my liking. I’ve had better black cherry sodas… The scoop of vanilla ice cream in the float was generous and served as a tasty drink/​dessert to finish off the meal.
I liked their condiment «bar», outdoor seating, indoor modern wood décor, clean restroom and very quick service.
Is it diet food? Hell no, but when you’ve gotta have a burger… Hook is a pleasant spot to get your carnivore on.

This place has a lot of outdoor seating, not a big inside area but there’s definitely space. Clean bathrooms! And very friendly customer service with I’m a fan of! Definitely coming back, their food is delicious and their isn’t a long wait time once you order which is great. Love this place so chill, casual! The energy is great definitely recommend !!

I really love eating hamburgers and especially at places that have quality ones. Hook Burger is one of those places.
I came here for lunch with a colleague since we were working close by and I really enjoyed my lunch. I ordered the Prime Burger which is their basic burger and the meat was really flavorful and juicy and I’d consider this burger up there on my list of burger joints.
The service is really friendly as well and they have servers walking around taking away finished plates and asking if we needed drinks refilled.
I also came back in the evening to relax after a days work over a Stone IPA as I met up with a friend to catch up and it really hit the spot! I almost downed the whole thing upon my first sip, haha!
This is a great place to come for burgers and drinks. I’ll definitely be back again…

Quick service and yummy burgers!
You order at the register and find a table. A waitress will bring your food to you within 5 – 10 minutes. I would recommend the hickory burger!
I wish the burgers included the cheese but they make you add it on for an additional cost.
The pretzel burger is okay but I wasn’t a fan of the bun.
The staff is extremely friendly. Only down side is finding parking on a busy night.

I’m a burger kind of guy. I don’t discriminate, I love all burgers from Juicy Burger, to the overpriced Bachi Burger, and to the In N Out double doubles. This place seemed like a slightly more upscale version of the Habit so I wanted to give it a try. It did not disappoint.
We ordered a prime burger along with sweet potato fries and the Pretzel burger. I stress the fact that you must order it medium rare otherwise you risk it being overcooked. Hence you see other reviews complaining that it tastes like cardboard. These are not the best or juiciest burgers I’ve had but they’re darn good. Buttery brioche bun on top of a well cooked and well seasoned patty. Plus messy toppings, who doesn’t love this.
The pretzel burger tasted similiar but I’m not a big fan of pretzels so I’m not a fan since the bun was kinda too salty.
The service was very fast and attentive. The employees were very friendly and brought our food to our table and brought us whatever else we needed…
Overall great service, great prices ($ 5 burgers), and yummy food… Give this place a shot.

This restaurant has such a nice and atmosphere. Wood tables, chairs and benches everywhere. The staff was also very attentive and helpful, so customer service was not an issue at all.
I give this establishment 3 stars, however because their turkey burger gave me really bad food poisoning. I don’t know if the situation has changed, but they need to prepare their turkey meat properly to avoid this situation. I truly wanted to give this place more than 3 stars, but if they cannot get their product prepared properly, then the extra stars cannot be justified. I probably will try this place again, I will just steer clear of their poultry.
UPDATE: their customer service goes above and beyond to bring my business back, and I truly appreciate that. The manager had contacted me to make amends and gave me a gift card to use on the restaurant!
While I was still traumatized by my experience, I decided to give it a chance by going to the restaurant with my mom and ordering something different. We had the Asian chicken salad and the chicken sandwich. They were so darn good. I’m so happy gave this place a chance. I probably still won’t order the turkey burger for a while, but everything else is totally a go for me. Thanks Hook Burger!
