Extended Stay America – Chicago – Burr Ridge

Upon checking in I was greeted by a lady that works there Thursday night and she didn’t leave me with a good impression of this hotel. I was delayed for four hours so checking in I was also late which I mentioned to her and she didn’t ask a single thing about it. More so interrupted me and asked if I was here to check in. She gave me the key and explain to me a bit about the hotel about the process and she booked me a room on the third floor. Now they only have one elevator, but unfortunately I was so tired that I didn’t have the energy to go to the other side of the building to take the elevator, so I got stuck taking the stairs. Having to drag groceries and luggage the third floor is really inconvenient, so I waited for the next day to ask another lady if there was anyway she can give me a room on the first floor. She was awesome for giving me another room, but I had to move everything that I already unpacked to a new room. Which honestly I didn’t even care because I have had enough having to go back-​and-​forth. This hotel is decent, nothing special. They do have a laundromat; unfortunately they don’t have a pool or a gym, so I’m confused why they charge so much when they don’t even have those two important things. It’s disappointing because I packed my swimsuit and gym shoes. The Wi-​Fi here is horrible, you have an option for free Wi-​Fi that’s mediocre, or you can pay extra money a night or something ridiculous like that for faster speed. Overall I’m not very happy with the hotel, I won’t be staying here next time I am back in town. I’m happy that the company I work for is not doing business with them.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We had over 65 wedding guests stay at this hotel for a fun weekend of merriment. The rooms were clean, the price VERY REASONABLE, the location was perfect, but it was the staff that we are most fond of!!! Veronica, Jen, Madeline, Teschia, & more! Every single one of them went out of their way to accommodate every request. They checked traffic, gave directions, worked hard to locate us in rooms near each other, and helped in EVERY way possible! Truly, they couldn’t have been more professional and more friendly! We are VERY GRATEFUL and won’t ever forget their kindnesses!

Reasonably priced. If you don’t smoke and don’t care what kind of room you get, make sure to get a non-​smoking room anyway.
Location is okay. If you plan to to downtown Chicago, it might be worth the extra money to rent a hotel closer.

Very clean. I can see the value for an extended stay, but for $ 95 a night, better hotels are plentiful in the same price range for short stays.
