Carl’s Jr Restaurant

I ordered a chicken burrito combo meal. I get the burrito and it’s labeled «steak.» I bring it up to the counter and point out that it says «steak» but my receipt says «chicken» and the cashier says, «Check it, it might be chicken.» I walk back to my table and bite into it and of course it’s steak. I thought, «Are you fucking kidding me?» I didn’t feel like walking back up the counter with a half-​eaten burrito and trying to exchange it so I ate my wrong, but absolutely correctly-​labeled, burrito.
On the plus side, the staff helped us dig through the trash when we managed to misplace our car key (we eventually did manage to find it, it was not in the trash).

I would give it a zero star if I could everything is bad, the meat is hard and the fish is way too watery

Stopped by for one of through the drive through for when you need a quick break but don’t want to lose time by eating in the establishment. Ordered the Carl’s Catch meal, everything was given to me quickly, no waiting. About what you’d expect for a fast food meal in the middle of nowhere.

This is the first time coming here since I live nowhere close to here. Stopped in driving up to San Jose to use the restroom and get a quick bite to eat.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been at a Carl’s Jr. Or really any fast food restaurant where I got great service and fresh and hot food.
Food tastes so good when prepared the way it’s supposed to be.
I’m not sure if it always like this here but today it was.

Yes, it’s fast food, but the place was clean and the food came out hot and fresh. Look, you never know what you’re going to get when you pull off the highway in the middle of nowhere. But on Christmas Day, when nothing else is open and you don’t have many choices and someplace delivers, they deserve recognition. The staff here was really nice (despite having to work on a holiday), they got all of our orders correct, and the price was right. No waiting. No stress. And the bathrooms were clean, too.

Really bad drive through service employee wasn’t even paying attention to when we where ordering as well as forgetting half our order considering this is close to a major highway we where a couple miles away to far to turn back before we realized half the order was missing bad service!

Two words– COLD FOOD
How do you manage to have a greasy burger that is still frozen on the inside! Horrible

I was on my way back home to San Diego, from San Francisco. It’s a long trip and I just wanted something to eat. I was really surprised how kind and helpful this staff was. I felt like I was being helped at a local Applebee’s and not carls jr. So way to go staff, keep it up!

This place is in the middle of nowhere off the I-​5 in Buttonwillow. You pass here on the way to Nor Cal, Kern River or the race tracks. Being in nomans land means the employees are from the middle of nowhere too. Zero excitement from anyone here. No dose of morning sunshine. Wish I had my happy spray.
Was in town for a race event staying next door. The sleeping bear and my little dragon needed to be fed. Walked over and ordered a coffee and french toast sammie. Frozen french toast, you know the toaster kind. Stuffed with egg, cheese. And undercooked sausage, completely drenched in syrup. Way too sweet for me and the coffee not so fresh. I only ate ½. The bear of mine had the monster bisquit, OJ and iced coffee. The iced coffee was just okay, if you like it weak. He said his meaty bisquit was good.
To me Carls does well with lunch. Not so much breakfast.
Plenty of parking. Easy trailer, truck access.

Cashier forgot to give me my change ($ 7). Then she tried to offer me $ 6. Uh, thanks! Not many options out here on I-​5.

Food was what we expected to get! Great! Clean table, quick service, tasty burgers! I would definitely come back!

TERRIBLE FOOD! Im a huge fan of Carl’s JR but this location was terrible. I got the hand breaded chicken tenders and was excited to try them as we left the drive thru. Unfortunately, a few miles away from the loaction i realized i made a terrible mistake ordering the tenders. They were incredibly tasteless and the only taste was that of overused and old oil they fried them in. Pretty annoyed i wont get my $$ back for gross food. Next time ill know.

Crazy slow and super rude. While taking my order the girl seriously started talking to an employee and they made me wait ten mins. I was literally their only customer at the time

Two words to describe this place. Dirty and slow.

Ok, first Impression, customer service sucked. Alice was rude and gave us dirty looks. She was rude how she answered my questions and she seemed unenthusiastic. However, my El Diablo burger was very good and the food didnt let me down. Another negetive was there were a few flies but not enough to piss me off. 3 Stars, if they opened a chipotle here I would say forget going to CJs.

I was recently here with my partner during a long trip from Los Angeles May 28, immediately we didn’t get off to a good start… The cashier (Alice) was rude and unwelcoming and stared at us condescendingly, the employes were huddled in the back as a male employe was showing then something on his cell phone… The food was ok however, just needes improvement on staff… Oh and there is a bunch of flies… Not good.

Sat in the drive thru five minutes until I got tired of waiting, drove away, went next door to McDonalds. Their tech was broken and no sign to warn anyone, just wasted my time parked and burning gas for no reason. And I’m already cranky and hungry when I pass Buttonwillow…

Since this is a fast food restaurant, there is not much that can be said beyond that, but here I go again… I will give it a try and see what comes out at the end.
This Carl’s Jr. is one of many restaurants in the area, we like to make sure the places we do go to as well taken care of, and this Carl’s is one of those place, very clean and well taken care of. This is a good place to bring the family and have a hot meal especially when the weather is 100’s of degrees outside and when you need a rest from Interstate 5.
The staff here is good, they will take your order and make sure to get it right, but just like anything when you have a human in the middle of the equation something can go wrong, so just make sure you verify your order before leaving, otherwise they are good and helpful. Also make sure you have some extra time, as this place does get busy with all the travelers during the weekend (during our recent visit we had to wait for 20 minutes just to place our order. We would like to say thank you to one family which also waited for 20 minutes too, and then when they placed their order they had no idea how to order anything, which added a few more minutes to our wait.)
If you are expecting a 5 star restaurant, then you are coming to the wrong place, this is a fast food restaurant so do not expect more than that. This Carl’s is a good place to bring the family for a fast meal, but of course we lock the kids in the car, oops meant to say we let the kids stay in the car, lol.

I’m not too big on fast food but when traveling it’s easy and fast to order from a drive through and eat as you drive. We pulled up and placed our order.
After we paid they gave us our drinks. First mistake. They have us 4 cokes and a powerade while we asked for 2 ice tea, 1 powerade, 1 diet coke and a regular coke. It’s a good thing we took sips to make sure we had the right drinks. Then we were asked to pull up to wait for our food. Service seemed slow yet they weren’t that busy. The order was correct but they forgot to put the sauce in the fish sandwich and didn’t taste like it wasn’t seasoned. The turkey burger seemed a bit dry. The other burgers seemed better according to my brothers, they had the western burger and famous star.
I don’t think I will eat at this carls junior again.
