Watch Station Outlet Store

Bought a watch here and when I was checking out the woman behind the counter asked for an email address. I hesitated and said that I didn’t want to be on a mailing list for the store. She assured me– repeatedly– that it was for the warranty on the watch. She said these exact words «the email address doesn’t even go in our system– it goes directly to Skagen».
LESS THAN AN HOUR LATER I get an email for the Watch Station mailing list!!!
I call the store and speak to the woman who checked me out– she immediately becomes indignant and insists that she’s not a liar and she doesn’t know how my email got on the list. I speak to her manager who acts as though this has never happened before, incredulous that by some mysterious magic my email got into their system.
I was never able to get a straight answer out of the THREE different people I talked to. Obviously they are aware of what’s happening and they don’t care.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR EMAIL. Or better yet– DO NOT SHOP HERE. None of the employees were straight forward with me. I take honesty over watches that are barely on discount any day.
