I took my 18k diamond ring in for resizing(11 to 9) I had purchased at a military installation while overseas. I didn’t note the weight of gold prior to doing so. Zale’s sent the ring out to M&G. When the ring came back, the repair shop had put rhodium over yellow gold bars and cut off more gold than necessary on the shank(narrowing the width of band). I took the ring back and pointed out the yellow bars were now white and told the sales rep the ring was dramatically altered more than what is reasonable in resizing. She informed me the«company is a multi-million $ corp. and doesn’t have time for ‘shady business’». The ring was again sent in to have the yellow bars corrected and I requested the excess gold replaced on shank. The District manager told me I would need to provide«proof» excess gold was removed as the repair shop didn’t have anything to go by when resizing the shank. I informed him the ring was acquired overseas and«proof» was not possible. He basically said in no exact words too bad. I called the corporate office advising them of the situation only to be told the regional supervisor would not do anything and to work with the store to find solution. The only solution the district manager would provide is having rhodium applied to the ring again and to try to bring out the yellow in the bars. I knew there was nothing Zale’s would do to correct what M&G did. Even after pointing out to the District manager and he could clearly see the band of the ring was extremely altered, he chose to do nothing to correct. The value of gold removed from the ring amounts to a few hundred dollars(this is estimating). Please note: this experience took place back in 2010 – 2011.

My husband and I had a great experience purchasing a 10 year anniversary ring. The sales associate Ray was very patient, as we spent about an hour in the store trying on several styles of rings, going back and forth. We felt like we had a great experience and great price on a beautiful ring!

I enjoyed this location. The staff were kind and helpful but the price they offer don’t seem much like outlet prices. But fun even still.

Absolutely the WOST Zales store/staff ANYWHERE in California! I was shopping for a ring for my 15 year old daughter and initially I was being helped by a very callous, condescending & rude woman who acted as though I was interrupting her sitting on a chair time & when I asked to see if there were any other sapphires, she said, «I don’t know & pointed down the counter.» Wow! How dare I ask if there was more merchandise than the 3 rings in the case below. So, I sought out a few more & had to again find her on her chair to ask for assistance. Begrudgingly she returned to help us & showed me 1 ring, while I am looking at it, she LITERALLYWALKSAWAY! In her place, she flags over another associate who takes the ring from me. I ask the new associate, «Where did she go?» She answers nicely, «Oh she thinks that other group of people might me buying.» OMGOSH! Really!!! I kindy reply, «Thank you.» She responds,“Would you like to see anymore?” «Not in this lifetime, sorry.» I have NEVER in my lifetime been treated so rudely. I am over joyed to say, that«other group who was buying» also walked out of the store at the same time as we did, with the arrogant lady yelling behind us, «Please think it over, we are open until 9pm!» Needless to say, don’t waste your time, your money on awful jewelry selection & certainly your breath in this terrible store! I’m also contacting the Zales corporate offices, just so they know who’s in their stores!
