As a cyclist this place really tickles my fancy. Great food, great coffee, and a super awesome cycling/fitness atmosphere make it my new go-to when I am down in Calabasas. I ordered the fried egg sandwich with the kale salad. The brioche bun was delicious and the eggs were cooked well. While the salad was a bit plain, the kale had good flavor. All cyclists must eat here at LEAST once! Five stars.

We stopped by on the way back from a big day to grab a coffee and gather forces. The first thing the guy said to us was, «we are closing in 3 minutes girls». World’s worst greeting, and coming from someone less than half my friend’s age, besides it was 5 minutes ;) and we were originally going to get coffee. We were sat and looked at menu and decided to order a few noshes, salmon tacos and quinoa with veggies inside surrounded by kale/broccolini. We ordered swiftly as we did not want to hold anyone up, but there were tables that were still waiting for food and ordering so we did not feel too badly. Food was amazing. Service, while sweet and positive, was terrible. We got coffee with no sugar. We got a meal with no plates — could not flag anyone down and attempting to eat our tacos without plates caused major sauce disaster. We asked for water, probably 5 times. However we finally had a guy named Malikai come in and save the day, what a doll. Great guy, please make him a lead! I can’t give a poor rating because he was nice, the food is really excellent, hostess a doll, environment reminiscent of Old Ranch style chill — Sonoma or Old Agoura /Malibu, it’s just someone was really ready to go home, and even he was sweet if checked out. It’s really cute and tasty and I am looking forward to stopping by again, a little earlier next time.

I tried to make reservations for a party of 30 people and consulted with 2 managers on separate occasions who all listed me the same price but once I went to reserve the space the event coordinator tried to raise the rate by 66% and didn’t even have the decency to reply to my email. Although I like their food, I won’t be going back because of their lack of customer service, professionalism and communication skills. ****02/03/16 Followed up with Gideon today in a 15 min phone call, only to find out that he recognizes that 2 separate managers quoted me a lower rate than he was but refused to match their rate. Long story short. Do not try to book larger parties for this venue. As you can see in the other«not recommended» reviews(a lot of 1 stars) this has been an ongoing problem at this location. Their desperately trying to make it easy for themselves and think about the customer last. Maybe they should spend some time training Gideon and the management team in customer service.

Such a cool ambience inside and out; rustic, clean design. Coffee shop, bike shop, bar, restaurant, patio. Always fun to have the Devils on horseback(stuffed dates wrapped in bacon). Good overall is great. We were underwhelmed by the pizza but that was just a pepperoni cheese pizza. The corn ravioli fish & filet has been great. Best part about this place is their live music outside on Mondays. 5 stars for ambience but 4 for the food. Update: We went for breakfast for the first time and I enjoyed my Johnny cakes(healthier option) well enough but my husband got chicken/waffles and it was a major fail. The fries were soft/old(also a small fail on waitress’ part; we had no indication it came with fries and didn’t want them anyway), the waffle was soft/soggy, and the chicken lacked flavor. Worst of all, it was surprisingly priced higher than it ever should be. I almost wanted to complain on this one but we refrained. Unfortunately the food keeps underwhelming us and I doubt we’d be back unless for music and a drink. Down to 3 stars for the food.

Pedalers Fork is pretty darn cool. The atmosphere is really something special too! We went for late breakfast or almost bunch. Parking isn’t the easiest but there is a valet a few short steps away to save the day! We were greet by a very pleasant hostess who sat us quickly in the outdoor dining area as we requested. In order to get to the outdoor dining area we had to walk through the restaurant and bar which was very cool too. The atmosphere and décor is quite unique. Unique in a good way! Its definitely not a typical plain chain restaurant or off the wall either. The menu was vast and had many interesting choices. We placed our orders and the food was brought out in a timely manner. Delicious! With some items I feel the portions could be a bit larger, but otherwise no complaints! We would recommend Pedalers Fork to anyone who happens to be in the Calabasas area! Its also right near the freeway. So no excuse, get there!

Got one of each pizzas to go and by the time I got home they were gross. Had once slice and threw the rest away. Smelled amazing but we’ll look. It was all either hard or soggy and I only live 10 mins away. I called and they offered a free pizza. If it’s good or not good I’ll be leaving another review after. Maybe it’s only bad to go so I’ll eat there next time.

Really lovely ambiance and friendly staff, but a bit pricey. We came here for lunch on a Friday, when it wasn’t crowded. While the burrata salad and wild mushroom flatbread was superb, the chicken and waffles plate was only so-so. The waffles could have been more crispy and the dish came with what I think is chipotle mayo sauce. Overall, nice place and I will be back to try their happy hour.

Really thought I would enjoy it more than I did. Stuck with drinks as none of the menu items sounded too enticing and it was just really packed inside. Wait for a table was too long so we sat at the bar like sardines, you can literally not lift your arm without hitting someone, just way too close for comfort. Service was ok, not stellar, they were just too busy. Drinks were fine, but pricey and not really worth having a second. I get this is one of the hot pots in town, but I think more because there are not too many options. I might come back again earlier in the day when it is not as full and try the food, but for an evening out, it’s a pass for me.

This is one of those restaurant experiences where I’m glad I didn’t pick up the tab. While the quality of some of the food was good(the tuna was delicious), the atmosphere was loud and the service was bad. If you want to be in a large, spacious restaurant that somehow is still loud despite its size, then this may be your place. While I appreciate the idea behind farm to fork, this is not how I would envision it or enjoy it. Pedaler’s Fork is awfully expensive for both the portions and particularly the sketchy service. Our waitress, regardless of how nice she may have meant to be, was not all together; a couple other of the staff were equally slow, and a little ham handed with serving some of the food… as in knocking over items on the table. Seriously, if there is one thing alone that management could do, it’s to rethink what is proper service. When you charge a high price for your food, the service should be commensurate. Customers shouldn’t have to chase down hard to find staff for basics like beverages, napkins, settings.whatever. And don’t plonk down customers meals like you’re serving in a chow hall in the wilderness.

I have been here many times and I keep hoping that the service will improve. The décor and ambiance at this restuarant is great but the service is always poor. This is not related to friendliness of the staff but related to incredibly long wait times prior to the food being delivered to the table. I recently asked our server if the service is always so slow(which I know it is from prior experiences here)… She said it’s very busy and usually about 25 minutes is a normal wait time… We had been waiting form 45 minutes for breakfast at that point in time. Then after all that wait the order had been screwed up and one of the entrees had not arrived, the server had not put it through. The end result was that one of the people in our party had to eat of her own when the rest of us had already finished our meals. Like I said, hopefully they can get this glitch sorted out.

Greatly and pleasantly surprised at the menu, the service and the atmosphere in every way! We ended up at Pedaler’s Fork after a traffic shutdown of the entire surrounding area — rainy and awful, couldn’t get home. Got a nice window seat in this rather large restaurant that looks tiny from the outside. Felt like eating healthy and the pleasant female server didn’t disappoint in her recommendations. Had the quinoa cakes with roasted vegetables and an amazing vegan aïoli, followed by warm carrot cake, out of this world — not too sweet, just right. Duckhorn wine by the glass, while wifey drank some cold-pressed green juice. Everything was thoroughly well prepared and delicious! We will be back!

Quality is the premise of this review. The Food is conceptualized based on this premise. The Social atmosphere is created to further exude their attention to detail on «all» things. Their mindset is in the direction of nurturing and catering to their customers, with a quality first perspective, allowing the profit to come as it may. Begin your day with anything that derives from their 10-Speed Coffee beans. I am a purist and prefer a pour-over or espresso, but I truly believe that you could appreciate their beans in a sugared down mocha. Time, love, and passion exude from the loft above where they craned in their roaster before putting the roof on. Take a look and maybe a tour if your lucky and get a chance to learn from the masters behind the product! The menu for all 3 occasions covers the bases well and can please the über sensitive(GF, Vegan, Veggie), while also taking care of the guy or gal who wants a damn good chicken&waffle w/some 100% Organic Maple Syrup to round it out. From their Johnny Cakes(nutty, quinoa, chia, flax, berry-goodness) to a proper Pork Belly(AppleWood Bacon) and Egg Scramble, Breakfast is on point. Yes, they are not a taco shop, but man oh man their tacos and newest addition of the burrito might have you consider that the kitchen has a strong Latino contingent. The«Roy Choi-esq» Korean marinated Steak taco is balanced delicately with a hit you on the back-end flavor profile. Ask for siracha or their groovy tomatillo salsa to compliment the Chicken Burrito made with papas y wild arroz, and I can assure a smile to soon follow. Oh yeah, to top it off, they are a bicycle centric establishment. Come in after a gnarly ride in the Santa Monica’s and drop your bike off at the shop(about 3ft from the espresso machine), get some work done, a cleaning, a tune, or whatever else you desire, all awhile eating something delish and ordering from their AMAZING Local Craft Brew selection(they like IPA’s!). If your bike does not need any work, they have a great lock-up system, so even if you should drink too much good beer(not possible) and forget you rode there via bicycle; It will still be there in the morning because no one is cutting these locks! Just Go and have fun. Any complaints and you probably don’t belong anyways– just sayy’n. Good stuff, Good Stuff!

Two stars because the service was horrible. My friend and I walk in and get sat outside as it was a beautiful day but no one comes to our table for at least 15 mins! Once inside and our food is served I was left with no drink until I was done with my meal! Never coming back again.

This place is best described as a hidden gem. I heard about this place from my sister and told me that I should for sure try this place with my friends soon. I tried it today for the first time for brunch and my friends and I were so pleased with everything. The thing I would like to emphasize the most is how scenic the inside and outside is. It is quite evident they spend a lot of time focusing on detail when they were building this restaurant. The outside looks like a rainforest, especially on this semi bright-semi gloomy day we came on. Just trees and plants surround us and a water creek right behind our table. The food was pretty good as well. I want to go back and try a few other things in the menu to be able to more accurately describe the food, because what I got today was about an 8⁄10. From seeing the other Unilocal photos people have posted, I could tell they have a variety of foods that I would like to try.

My coworkers and I came here for a lunch celebration and I had the Short Rib Sandwich and Tomato Soup. The short rib sandwich was great, though a little on the bland side, and the tomato soup was excellent. There is a bike shop towards the back, but when we went it was a bit closed off and we couldn’t really see it in action.

I really don’t understand some of the negative reviews of this place. Pedalers Fork is an absolute gem in the SFV /North LA area. It’s completely unexpected, and a refreshing contrast to the chain restaurants that dominate the Calabasas /west valley area. Such a unique, creative and beautiful space. Restaurant, coffee shop, bicyclery, under one roof. Indoor/outdoor space set among tall trees and strung lights(go at night for the full effect). I really cannot overstate how downright cool this place is. Where else in North LA can you get a locally sourced kale salad, bacon wrapped dates, an ethiopian pour over on a V60, an espresso pulled on a La Marzocco, and watch someone fixing a bicycle… all at once? So, some of the Unilocalers criticisms have centered around waits, service, and prices. Here’s my experience: WAIT: we were seated immediately on a Tuesday evening, with no reservation. Weekends are probably busier, admittedly. However, the front desk and host staff were welcoming, and seemed genuinely happy that we were there. None of the pretense or snobbery that unfortunately we’ve come to expect at hip new restaurants in LA(yes, I’m talking to you, Westside) SERVICE: Honestly, pretty remarkable service Friendly, attentive, accommodating. I don’t recall our servers name(she had dyed red hair), but she was awesome. Talked us through the menu. Gave solid recommendations. Didn’t try to oversell anything. In fact, she recommended only ordering 2 kids plates, and having the kids share.(Scored some tip points with these parents). She visited our table very frequently throughout our visit. PRICE: We ordered a veritable feast of food and coffee, for 3 adults, and 3 kids, and the bill came in just under $ 100. For a dinner with locally sourced ingredients, craft coffee, and an unbeatable ambiance. It doesn’t get any better.(Dear Valleyites, you would spend more at Cheesecake Factory, and you’d walk away with salt blisters and major life regret). We ordered: –Smoked wings –Bacon wrapped dates –Goat cheese board –2 orders of kids pancakes with blueberries –Seafood stew –Tomato basil soup –Chopped salad –Wild mushroom flatbread –Ethiopian pour over –House blend drip –Maple Latte Can’t wait to come back and try the breakfast and lunch menus. I’m a fan of the Pedelars Fork.

One of the best places to hang out in the Valley. It has taken me a while to visit this farm-to-table restaurant and I’m glad that I finally made the effort. Check out the farms where they source their ingredients here — Originally wanted to try the coffee at 10 Speed, I asked if I can have my coffee at their restaurant so I can try something to eat. I ordered the chilaquiles and was really please that my server made sure that my chips were not soggy. She was really attentive, checking up on me at the bar. She also offered me a taste of a beer. I will definitely be back. One of the craft beer selections in the Valley and the best and only coffee in the Valley! Pedalers Fork is a lifestyle concept wrapping the owner’s love for an active lifestyle(cycling), local food, and craft coffee come together. The owner is the son of the founder of OPI. Parking for the coffee shop in the back of the building. If you’re dining in the restaurant, there’s free valet as well behind the building. Highly recommended if you don’t want to drive out to Downtown LA, but want the look and feel of a hip and urban bar/restaurant.

I met a friend here for lunch, the employees were very nice and we got a table outside. There’s a creek running outside the patio area so there was a gross, pungent rotten smell that lingered the dining area but it was not too bad. We ordered the following: Beet Salad($ 13): It was good, the dried cherries gave a sweet tart taste to the salad. 3 fish tacos with battered Rock Cod: it was good, the batter was a little too thick but it was still good. I would definitely come back again but try something else.
