The beet salad and the lobster ravioli is to die for! So good. They have a big selection of italian staples as well as some really unique dishes I do not normally see. The service was top notch. They even have a cake platter they bring tableside. Lol

Bistro 13 continues to excel in amazing bread, appetizers and entrees. I’m never disappointed dining here. One of my go to restaurants when I am In Camarillo.

Wonderful atmosphere in both ambiances of the restaurant. The food is excellent, it has a great selection of wines, and the staff is very pleasant and cordial. The owner, Giovanni(Gio), with his charisma, kindness and friendly ways puts the cherry on the cake!

We like this restaurant for many reasons and while there is another Italian restaurant in Camarillo(Ottavio’s), I find it dark and gloomy compared to the outlook of Bistro 13. The food at Bistro 13 is as good or better than Octavio’s too, IMO.

I love this restaurant! I went there with my husband for our wedding anniversary. It didn’t have to be very expensive restaurant but I wanted to go somewhere I normally don’t go. When I visited the HP of this restaurant, I intuitively knew this restaurant was good(I didn’t know why but the picture of the gentleman(I think he is owner) on the HP was good. He has nice smile and I could feel positive energy from it) so I decided to try there. The restaurant is located in the area that there are some other restaurants, and very close to the movie theater, Roxy stadium 11. Maybe it would be nice to have lunch or dinner after watching movies. As soon as we got into the restaurant, a waitress and the gentleman(the same as the picture on HP lol) welcomed us. Inside is decent size and also there are a few table sheets outside. I ordered peach salad, chawder soup, bolognese lasagna and cheese cake(please see my pictures) and everything was delicious! I was very full and unfortunately couldn’t finished the cheese cake… And all staffs were very nice and friendly. The service was exactly what I expected. I asked them to take a picture and they were willing to do it and gave us one free cake for our wedding anniversary. Thank you! I was very happy to chose this place. I would like to have lunch with my female friends next time. ※There is a shared parking in front of the restaurant.

Love this place. First time here. Wedding Anniversary late lunch. Outstanding service, and even better timely delivered expertly prepared dishes. Started with heirloom tomato salad, solid dish. Caesar Salad is real version, so be prepared for anchovie hints or see if they can lighten it up for you. Chicken Piccata(my younger daughter’s favorite: her order) was ridiculously good. I can’t remember having a better version of that dish. Gnocchi with Quatro Formaggi was delicious too. Wife had butternut squash ravioli, a refined dish. The Owner was involved, without asking, in the service and recommendations, and made the experience even better. Will come back, and will bring guests for a special dinner.

A small, trendy Italian place tucked in a strip mall with indoor and outdoor seating. It was really busy on a Friday night but we were able to get a table right away. The servers were very attentive. Free bread — really delicious. It had a denser structure like cake and really shone after chewing when it got this creamy texture and delicious flavor. I’m not sure what they put in it, some sort of spice. Pink clam chowder(served with entrée) — I hadn’t had pink clam chowder before. They said it was a mix of Manhattan and New England. It tasted funny and had too high of a potato to clam ratio. Mushroom risotto with filet mignon — the risotto was quite good, creamy with great mushroom flavor and chunks of mushrooms. I liked the balsamic vinegar sauce around the edges that gave it a nice hint of acidity. There were several large filet chunks that had a nice flavor but were a bit dry. Veal lasagna — Not so good, the mushroom risotto was definitely better. It was overflowing with meat crumbles. My partner seemed to enjoy the sauce it came with. I’m not sure I would come back because the prices were quite high for the food we got.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch before a movie at the Roxy nearby, and shared a salad and calamari appetizer. The salad was delicious, and the calamari was lightly breaded and very crisp. The bread served with lunch was superb. Our lunches came out in good time, even though there was a big group in the meeting room in the back. Prices were a bit high for lunch; our salad, appetizer, and two drinks came out to more than $ 40 with tip.

Delicious Italian food in a nice atmosphere. More high end than the usual Italian restaurant. The owner Giovanni greets you at your table to make sure you are satisfied. Better than the usual heavy Italian meal.

I had a great steak here. Small venue but very nice ambiance and spectacular service. I went with a few colleagues that swear by it and I can see why.

This place is soooooo good! I have lived in camarillo forever yet for some reason have never checked out bistro 13. Well now I’m kicking myself for all this wasted time! I had dinner with my parents and we were all totally blown away at the great food, nice atmosphere, and friendly service. I had the seared salmon which came with a creamy red pepper sauce, risotto, and spinach, and it was heaven. The salmon was perfect, moist, and flavorful. The risotto was delicious, and that sauce was to die for. My mom also had salmon prepped another way and her meal was just as incredible. My dad had a swordfish special which he raved over. The wine was reasonably priced for the glass($ 8) with a small but wide selection. I’m pretty sure it was beer and wine only, but that’s ok because who has room for cocktails when the food is this good. For dessert, we share the la bomba, which is three gelatos(chocolate, strawberry, pistachio) in a ball the size of a man’s fist with a chocolate shell. So unique and special, and goodness was it tasty. I can’t wait to enjoy that again. Our service was excellent and we really enjoyed the meal! Highly recommended! Can’t wait to go back!

Stopped by to have dinner after work and dinner was so wonderful I went back the next evening and took some friends. I asked Giovanni the owner to surprise us with a four course dinner. We started out with a beautifully presented buratta salad with fresh, sweet heirloom tomatoes, beets and a drizzle of basaltic glaze. Next course was lobster ravioli in a light butter sauce. Just enough to tease you! Pistachio crusted halibut served over garlic, lemon infused garlic spinach was a big hit. Our last course was another house specialty, chicken piccata. Tender pieces of chicken with just enough wine butter and capers. Had no room for desert but had the night before the carrot cake and it was delicious. We left very happy. Giovanni was very attentive. We felt like he was serving us dinner in his home! We will be back soon.
