I really like this burger joint. My husband brought me here and I fell in love with the food here. The shakes, fries, and the blue cheese Buffalo burger is a must try. The staff is friendly and make sure you have everything you need. It’s located in the outlets which is awesome, since you can eat and go shop after. I’m not from around the area, wish they can open one in the San Fernando area.

Tried this place a few days after trying in n out a few days before, and let me tell you how much better this was. The price is a tad bit cheaper then 5 guys but its worth it for a good burger. I got the BBQ burger and it was absolutely perfect. I’d pay $ 12 to $ 13 for a burger before I ever go back to in n out. To be honest I would rather go to mcdonalds the in n out. Eitherway Smashburger is great and the people there are very helpful.

if you want hair in your food –this is the place to get it. staff did not even apologize for the incident –they were too busy being on their cell phones.

The place smells like a barn and the meat is below average and very greasy. Just wasted 10 $ on crap food.

Pretty decent burgers but it is a bit expensive for one. They also have some pretty good shakes.

I was excited to try while shopping at the outlets. I had the spinach and goat cheese salad which was a good size for the price. Truffle fries were a disappointment in comparison to Umami burger. My husband’s burger was average as well. the servers seemed overwhelmed and didn’t know where the food orders were going and at one point yelled in the middle of the restaurant«anyone get a shake?» In addition a couple times plates were placed in front of us that wasn’t ours. In summary probably won’t be returning.

Smashburger is WAY too expensive for a burger and fries. In my opinion, you get a much better burger(and price, too) at In-N-Out Burger down the street. FYI: An animal style Double Double with both grilled and raw onions comes to $ 4.02. John Howard Oxnard, Calif.

I have been here 2 times and both times I left feeling the same way: average burger joint. The problem is that you have: Five Guys, The Habit and In and Out all within a short drive so why choose smash burger? Today I built my own burger and added the smash fries(includes olive oil, rosemary and garlic) The burger itself was decent size so the portions were on point. The taste was OK. Nothing really stood out– I opted for smash sauce instead of BBQ and that flavor did not come through. I did not have that same feeling you get when eating a five guys big burger or a double double– seemed like all the flavors just kinda melded together and nothing popped. A big disappointment was the smash fires– it’s really had to mess up garlic fired but they tasted like regular fries. I didn’t see any garlic and the Rosemary was non existent and there was a very small hint of olive oil. All in for the burger and fries it was about $ 10.00 and I just got water– with drink your about $ 12.00 that’s double what you can get a double double meal for… I will only come back if I’m in a group and they want to come here.

The food was pretty good, but my major complaint is that what you get for your money is just not worth it. Almost 8 dollars for a «big» burger that was quite frankly small. I had never been here before so when I saw big I expected like a typical double, but that is not the case. It’s my fault for not asking, but it still wasn’t worth the money.

If giving zero stars was an option I would. The food here is so mediocre, and quite honestly, it was repulsing. I’m really not the type to complain at restaurants, but after eating here I was honestly tempted to ask for my money back, it was that bad. Another review mentioned how, at face value, one would assume the quality of the burgers and fries here would be as they are represented… Fresh, delicious, tasty, whatever. They have a nice design and menu, with what seems like a variety of options… So how could it be bad? But the end product is really nothing more than a glorified, expensive McDonald’s– actually, scratch that, it’s way worse than McDonald’s. I came here with my boyfriend, a total burger fiend, and even he was disgusted. He ordered the Big Burger with bacon and it arrived without any lettuce or tomato, just a mutant pile of smashed brown meat on a soggy bun with some red onions on top. The kid sitting behind us with his parents had ordered the same thing, he was maybe 9 or 10, and he literally said, «Ew!» and frowned when it arrived. My boyfriend had to go ask for a side of lettuce and tomato LOL I mean come on! I ordered the Avocado & Black Bean Burger without cheese and it looked like they had just opened a can of refried beans, smashed it flat and slapped it on a grill… And it was SO salty, I swear I only finished it because my boyfriend had paid for the meal and told me not to waste it. The price for what you get here is a total disgrace, considering it takes less than half the time for your food to arrive than it does to even order it… I swear our order came out as we were sitting down. Like what? I don’t even know how this place stays in business when you can go to basically any other burger joint(Hook Burger, Five Guys, Habit, fucking In-N-Out) and get a freshly made burger WITH lettuce & tomato on it AND fries for half the price! And it would taste 1000x better too! I honestly regret coming here, and so does my boyfriend, and so do our stomachs. If I could travel back in time and tell myself not to go here, I would. The burgers are gross and not worth the money.

The Salted caramel shake was a four in terms of taste and overall yumminess though at over 800 calories you really have to question if it’s worth it. Pretty much the same for the burgers but not quite as tasty.

3.5 stars. When one looks at the menu and ingredients you’d think the end product would be just a bit better than it is. I had the jalapeño chipotle burger. It sound like that would be terrific yet somehow the sum is less than the individual ingredients. I’m not a burger connoisseur, but I’ve had simpler burgers where the ingredients came together more harmoniously.

Wow, amazing service by all at this place. They helped us get the right sauce and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with it. The smash sauce is fabulous! More mustard base than ketchup, YUM! Quality ingredients, fast service, and stellar employees. I know I sound like I know them, but I don’t even live in the area and it is my first time at a smash burger, and know no one who works here. Plus I am not easily impressed. They even came by to help take trays and not in the rushing type way. Plus it was Black Friday and outlets were sooo busy, thus they must have had a long day, but you wouldn’t know it. Check this place out!

We came here for lunch yesterday while shopping at the outlets. I love their extensive burger options and opted for the avocado and bacon burger with a side salad. The guy who took our order wasn’t very friendly. No smiles outta him. But the burger didn’t disappoint! It was very flavorful and the avocados were fresh. I tried my husbands fries and wasn’t crazy about the weird Rosemary I think it was on the fries. Prices were very high. He spent almost $ 30 for the 2 of us and this was fast food! I’m sure they’ll last here though. It was very busy at lunch time.

I tried this Smashburger after trying one in NYC. I wanted to compare the two so I got the same thing. I got the Truffle and Mushroom burger with Smash fries and a drink. The food was just as delicious as it was in NYC! If I wasn’t in public I would’ve licked my fingers! The restaurant was really clean and the staff was really nice. One of the employees came out to our table to make sure everything was delicious and we assured him it was. The buns on the burgers are so light and tasty unlike the dense buns from other chains. I can’t wait to return.

Nice and clean restaurant… and pretty neat deco. The service as fast and friendly. It was strange that they brought out our food 1 item at a time –kinda annoying. But it is expensive! This is the second time and think I’ll stick to In&out down the street. Only came here because the In&out parking lot was packed! What disappointed us was no veggie toppings on the burgers and everything is «al la cart». My mushroom burger was tastey but not worth the $ 7.70 price with no sides and no other toppings. I’ll only come here if there are coupons

This Smashburger is conveniently located in the Promenade section of the outlet mall, which is the newer set of stores in the mall. Beside it are a variety of other fast food joints such as Pizza Rev, Chipotle, Pick Up Stix, and Yogurtland, which offers options for people coming in a large group. Additionally, this food court section is quite new in comparison to the rest of the other stores and is clean and aesthetically pleasing to look at. I visited this location with my family around 6:30pm on a Saturday, and there were a good amount of customers coming in and out, but it was only half full inside. There is outdoor seating in the patio, complete with a couple of heaters. Finally, the employees were all very nice, and we received out food in less than 5 minutes. On the plus side, we each had coupons(for either $ 2 off a regular Smashburger, or free regular fries with purchase). Since it was one coupon per customer, we each did a separate order, which was fine. In my opinion, the food was not quite up to par with the other Smashburgers I have frequented, including the one in nearby Thousand Oaks. The burger meat was a little too dry for my taste, and the French fries were way too salty(toward the end I even resorted to wiping some salt off on a napkin)… Perhaps it’s because this is a relatively new location and they’re still working some kinks out. Nevertheless, they are in a great location and this is a convenient spot for those out shopping at the outlets.

Unilocal challenge 201569⁄365 Carnivores and Vegetarians can get together at this Super busy custom burger joint where food isnt cheap, where one can do up a burger, chicken sandwich, black bean burger, salad however they please. Located in the food court area of The Camarillo Outlets, which offers plenty of parking and easy access to the 101. Service was fast and friendly but the line is long. You order at the counter, pay and take your number to a table and wait for them to bring it out, then they take your empty tray away. I am a huge fan of burgers, and have been on the quest for a perfect burger forever, I was hoping to make my mark here, but it just didnt hit my spot. I arrived hungry and left hungry. Yea, I eat a lot of meat, but I usually dont induldge on sides, like fries, rice, ect. Thats why Im always hungry. Be sure to order the bigger burger because size really does matter. My BBQ bacon burger with the crispy onions was tastey, nice n juicy and cooked perfectly to a medium well on a nice airy bun. I just wish the meat was thicker. The hubsters agreed on the size too. Bigger would be better. I would also had some more veggies, lettuce, pickles, grilled onions to the burger for some extra fill. That all can be added. The water here is aweful, very pipey tasting. Kind of like the taste you get from drinking water straight off the hose from the back yard. That familiar rusty tasting water. But the pellet style ice cubes are awesome. Just buy bottled water or something from their self serve fountain. Although we were still hungry, I am still a fan. Review #572

This is not any ordinary burger joint. They have their own selection of burgers OR you can build your own burger. I chose to build my own burger when I came here, and I guess I got carried away with what to put in my burger and the outcome was it was really messy, but the burger was juicy and it wasn’t greasy. This place reminds of The Counter because of the build your own concept. Their sweet potato fries were pretty good, it complimented my burger well. They also have salads, shakes and a kids menu.

Drove by the outlets and saw this new building space of new eats and decided to give it a try. Walking up to the restaurant, there was already a line out the door. I don’t see long lines as a negative thing, to me that means the gettin’ is that good because everyone was a piece. Pretty simple menu with options for beef burgers and or chicken burgers with different options of fries. My pictures reflect the classic smashburgers. I highly recommend the classic egg burger bun, the texture is nice and have good flavor. You have the option of what bread you want plus you get to choose from 15 different toppings. Being able to build your own burger, seems to be the trend lately(ie: Chipotle was the first, or even Subway & Togos). The burger is a decent size, you don’t feel overly full after which is nice since burgers are pretty hefty on the caloric count. Highly recommend the Spicy French fries to pair with you burger. The Spicy fries are have a dry rub of Frank’s hot sauce… Super-duper tasty! Will we return? Absolutely.
