This location is pretty Meh. I can’t quite put my finger on exactly why but every time I come here it’s something distasteful about the overall experience, this last time the chips were pretty stale. The flavor here is also pretty bland. I know a friend who used to work at a chipotle and he said the amount of seasoning and the way they cook everything can sometimes vary greatly from location to location. I think this one of the not so great chipotle locations. I know that I went to the one in Oxnard and the food tasted way better. With any corporate restaurant you kind of have to expect some level of manufactured-ness so yeah…

I was hesitant at first to eat here, but then again I thought, ahh, what the heak! I came in an ordered a steak and carnitas bowl(you can get two meats, but you get charged a little bit more). Anyways, the food was good and I enjoyed it. Its a nice place to come and grab a quick bite before catching a movie. Enjoy.

I know chipotle has been getting beaten up lately and for good reason. Things have calmed down so I thought I would try a salad today(same as a bowl but with salad instead of rice.) I gotta say: This was bomb! I added guac no drink total cost $ 9.00 and you can easily share this — the portion size was huge. All the flavors where on point– the chicken was cooked good the salsa had a nice hint of spice. The ambiance was good too. Great music playing. It was weird to be at chipotle at lunch and it wasn’t busy at all… Going to take some time to earn the public trust back. Safe to say in my eyes Chipotle is back and I will be coming back for more salads soon!

I like chipotle but this location is bad. Employees are usually not friendly. Ordered food for pick up and my husband went to go pick it up. He arrived 5 minutes early and the cashier rolled her eyes when my husband said he was there to pick up. She then proceeded to slap everything together obviously annoyed that he was a whole 5 min early. Unprofessional.

It seems like every time I go there the portions get smaller or the price goes up. That fact aside, one thing that we used to like was their quesarito. A non-menu item where they melt some cheese in the tortilla before building the Burrito. I say used to because they used to do that for free and it was a nice treat. Not tonight! Nope, apparently the number crunchers caught wind of that and decided they could increase their bankroll. Instead of the gratis offering, I was promptly informed that this half a handful of cheese would now cost me an additional $ 3.50. Yes, you read that right, three dollars and fifty cents!!! Half the cost of an entire Burrito to add a half an ounce of grated cheese! After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I hesitantly agreed because my son wanted it. Aside from that insanity, to make matters worse, a couple arrived shortly after us to order. At the counter they asked for a sample of one of the meats to see if they liked it. The employee obliged and handed them one of the salsa cups full of the meat. I estimate it was about half the amount typically added to a Burrito or bowl. The charge for that? ZERO!, ZIP! ZILCH! No charge to give someone a sample of meat that is practically equivalent in quantity to the cheese I got charged $ 3.50 for. What a joke. Chipotle, you lost a customer tonight. Your pricing policies are completely out of whack. I can see maybe 50 cents to add a bit of cheese to an item. But really, $ 3.50? Heck, a complete quesadilla kids meal is only a quarter more! You guys need to get a reality check, and soon!

After spending the better part of the morning spending quite a bit of money at the outlet stores and working up an appetite, a burrito sounded good. We walked in about 3 o’clock to no customers, one gentleman behind the counter having fun with cilantro and an Amy Winehouse look-alike at the register calling for someone to help us. Out walks a large woman who very slowly and meticulously makes our burritos. We pay and then turn around to see the counters dirty and the floors strewn with corn kernels, lettuce and aluminum foil balls. Then the crowd came(well it was apparent it was for them as it was 8 people) and it came to a crawl. I timed it from the last person to until they were at the register and it was 9 minutes. If this were the Northridge location, it would have been 5 tops. Meanwhile, between customers the cashier was running around picking up trays both inside and out. My burrito was adequate as she put the bare minimum of meat and other ingredients required for the Chipotle standard and it did not taste as good as other restaurants I have been to. This location just seems like the lost sheep of the chain and the shepherd is gone shopping.

I’ve been to plenty of Chipotles, and I’m a huge fan of the chain. I love their food! However, this location of Chipotle is not all too grand. It’s the closest one I live to, so I’ve been here lots of times. The staff never seems very happy with their lives, and aren’t friendly. In my opinion they don’t put enough«toppings» on your food. I once got 4 pieces of chicken on my burrito. didn’t want to ask for another scoop so I didn’t get charged for having double meat. And tonight I found TWO pieces of hair in my rice. I have blonde hair, the hair I found was dark so it obviously was not mine. Also had to wait(and yes I timed it) 12 minutes before someone started to take our order. Terrible service. Needless to say I wont be going back. I recommend the Mexican place across the street, Los Arroyos. SUPER friendly staff and amazing food!

Not a fan of the bland. After coming here and giving this place plenty of opportunity to impress I continue to leave disappointed. Wanna know why? Where is the flavor? I give up on chipotle. Nothing is salted and everything is bland. Even the salsas are not very good. Ok yes It may be healthier than other places but I want to eat food that has taste and chipotle does not. For the price I will go else where and have some flavorful food that I can enjoy while eating. Sorry chipotle but I have to be honest.

Been to this location twice and both times the food was good! Fairly consistent across other locations. What makes me mad is the cleanliness and seeing employees on break in the restaurant while the line builds and tables dont get cleaned. Seriously, when you have a line of customers with 2 – 3 employees sitting there eating i want to walk out! Then when i get my food i want a clean table. I have been to 3 different Chipoltes and everyone seems to have the same experience for me: 1. they strategically put Chipolte in places that are super hard to park — the Camarillo one is no exception, limited parking and a hard to navigate lot. 2. the ordering routine seems to always make me feel stupid, maybe I am too used to Taco bell or regular Mexican places, or maybe I just don’t want 10,000 choices, more likely I am just lazy and just want to walk up and say«Taco and Burrito please» — what I have found is that I just play really dumb and say I know nothing– But I always feel like people are looking at me like I am idiot 3. This is getting a bit personal, but all 3 times the day after I have had Chipolte I have some sort of stomach issue –could be coincidence, I am married to a Mexican and my stomach can handle authentic Mexican food — 4. The green salsa has always been good — really the best part of it — I order one to go, and take it home and used on food at home Lastly — the food wasn’t bad, the bean and cheese burrito was a bit«oily» for some reason but tasted good.

This is the worst Chipotle I’ve ever been to. The staff members are unfriendly, extremely slow, frequently hold side conversations and don’t know what they’re doing. The chips are unsalted and chewy. Each time I’ve gone, I’ve ended up with a soggy burrito since they don’t drain the tomato salsa and just slosh the water into your food. Today we ordered food online so we wouldn’t have to go through the line and the entire order was messed up. It’s been over six months since this location opened and there’s no excuse anymore for these mistakes. In the future, I’ll drive out to Newbury Park rather than go to this location.

I’ve always loved Chipotle and was super excited to have one in Camarillo. My experience at this one has been fairly positive so I’m not sure why the reviews are so low… It may be because I’ve gone earlier than rush hour times? Lines are short around 11:30am and 5:30pm — right before lunch and dinner so I never have to wait that long. Today I was in and out within 5 minutes! Also they were generous with their portions when asked. So that was good! And of course always get guacamole on my burrito bowl. Staff could be friendlier — for example, the girl and the register didn’t say thank you or anything and handed my receipt to me and my bag. That could be better. They clearly post a sign about the lack of carnitas on the front door due to a shortage, which is fine. They have Barbacoa and steak which are tasty too! Easiest way to get there is through the Edwards theater parking lot :)

Wish I could give ZEROSTARS! First off, I went to this place about 3 weeks ago and there wasn’t much of a line, but it took close to 15 minuets before I could order. Then once I got to the front of the line, I asked for a «bowl with a tortilla on the side» and they ended up making it a burrito. Then I asked for a «small little dab of guacamole, to see if I would like it for the future visits» and they put a giant scoop and said«it will cost extra»(after putting it on the ‘bowl’) then I told them I didn’t want that much and they said«we can’t take it off without remaking your order.» After this happened, they forced me to pay for stuff I didn’t want. I also got chips and the bag legit had 7 – 8 chips in it. Then I tried the food, and this is what I was most disappointed about, the food was mediocre, at best! Such a joke. DONOTWASTEYOURMONEYHERE!

Was at the outlet day after Christmas and was hungry from spending money I don’t have. Got hungry and I did not want to go to their food court so when I was walking in the new section of the outlet, I saw Chipotle and made a beeline to it. I got three crunchy tacos, two Barbacoa and one chicken. They overfilled my tacos with deliciousness where I needed to finish my food with a fork. It was so good and it made my day thus making me spend more money.

The food is good… But expect to wait in line like 30 minutes. The employees are so slow! I’ve tried eating here about 4 times trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because they are new. But seriously! You might as well go to johnny Rockets across the street, better food and faster service.

Not the best customer service, we ordered 2 burritos and 2 burrito bowls to go, I wanted chicken and they didn’t have any I was told 20 min for chicken. I had to have steak instead, the steak was tough. the staff was tripping over each other there was no organization. I got home(only 3 miles away) both burritos were ice cold like they were pre-made and got wrapped up without getting heated up both of them! them. The burrito bowls we hot-ish. I put the burritos in the microwave and once I heated them and they were hot they were not bad. Final thought, if I wanted to cook I would not have gone out for this.
