Cambria Center for the Arts

We recently moved to the Central Coast and have had the pleasure of seeing several wonderful performances in the area. Yesterday, we were delightfully entertained at CCAT with Deathtrap — A Thriller in Two Acts. The production was perfectly cast and performed and the play itself was all the title suggests. This follows up our viewing of Something’s Afoot last summer which was equally well-​acted and staged.

Here’s what every small town should be doing with their old elementary school. .make it a theater and galleries.
The Allied Arts program has created a home for players and artists with a full year long season. They bring in directors and actors from the rest of the county along with local talent.

The Cambria Center for the Arts and Theatre is a charming little community theatre. I have gone to several different shows there in the last few years and must report that the new improvements to the seating make this a delightful evening of entertainment with every seat in the house having a good view. Nancy green continues to improve the quality of the facility and the quality of the productions. The season ahead for 2014 looks very interesting and promises to be good community theatre! WE just watched something ‘s afoot last night and it is an intriguing murder mystery with a uprising twist ending. I can’t be a spoiler, so you will have to see for yourself! This may be the new upgraded best theatre in Cambria! (I love them both) My wife and I continue to love our local community theatre productions.

Cambria Center for the Arts is a fantastic place. Every year they are in the forefront of creative activities. To name a few, they have monthly art shows ranging from a variety of artist styles, theater productions and instructional programs and workshops throughout the year.
The gallery and theatre are in the old grammar school and although it may seem like an odd place it really isn’t. The gallery has paintings, jewelry and sculptors by many local artists. The theatre has just had major renovation and preforms extraordinary professional plays.
It is a must see!
