Kathy is so good at what she does. I’ve been coming here for years and she always takes good care of me. She always checks in on me. Kathy calls me a day before my appt for a reminder! Great service! What I love most about Kathy is that she is very personable when I’m there. We have a catch up session every time I’m there! Best in the business.

I don’t know what happened to my original review but I’m more than happy to review it again! I have been coming to Kathy for about over 6 years now and I LOVE her! She is so good at her job, she is so friendly and knowledgeable. When I am getting waxed, she keeps up the conversation so you don’t even think about the pain or the fact that she’s in your you know what! I lover her and recommend her to everyone who needs a wax or a facial! Her location is a little run down but don’t let it fool you, she and her service is top notch!

Both my husband and I go to Kathy for facials. It has been 5 yrs. now and her services & professionalism remain constant. Though the outside of the bldg seems fairly old and worn, her office is very clean and organized. She treats her clients with respect and also makes you feel comfortable. Most of all, what she has done for our skin is amazing. Make your appts in advance as she is always busy.

Not sure why I ever left it’s not like I found someone better! Anyhow, I love, love, love Kathy! Her work is very clean & she makes you feel very comfortable while just chillin on the table – we were actually cracking jokes laughing while she was doing her thing.

I’ve been coming to see Kathy for about 2 years now after a friend introduced me to the place. Kathy is nothing short of wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and a professional in her craft. The location of the parlor may seem a little bit sketchy, but don’t let the exterior fool you, because Kathy knows what she’s doing! She actually makes me look forward to getting my monthly waxes. Time flew whenever I was in her little waxing room, because we would be talking and chit chatting the whole time! She not only became my regular waxist, but, ultimately, my friend as well! I HIGHLY recommend Kathy to anyone and will miss her since I recently moved out of CA, but rest assured that whenever I am visiting, I am definitely paying Kathy a visit!

I have been visiting Kathy for almost four years now and wouldn’t think of visiting anyone else for waxing. She always makes me feel comfortable and never ceases to entertain me with her stories to help keep my mind off the topic at hand. She is super fast which is nice in the case of waxing, and is always accommodating with her schedule. And her prices are reasonable considering how thorough she is. :)

The first time I went to get a Brazilian wax, I thought it was going to be awkward. I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. However, Kathy made it not awkward at all! She’s a very friendly and funny person to talk to. She made me feel comfortable and explained everything she was doing. Yeah it hurts but I think it comes with the territory (it’s a sensitive area!). I’ve been going to her for several years now and would recommend her to anyone for your waxing needs! :)

The secret to my usually blemish free skin is that I get my dead skin cells removed once a week by the owner Kathy. She is fantastic and is an expert on skin care and waxing. Before I found her several years ago, I would have constant problems with acne no matter what product I used. Now I RARELY break out even around that time of the month. She picks every blackhead and whitehead there is. It’s painful but the results are worth it! She is very nice and easy to talk to.
There are a few other secrets to maintaining good clear skin. I’ve read lots of beauty books and magazines over the years, and here are some tips that some of you may find useful:
1) Always drink lots of fresh purified or bottled water, at least 8 glasses a day and more when it’s hot or when you’re exercising.
2) Cleanse your face with the right products. If you have oily skin, don’t use anything with oil in it for example. A good all in one makeup remover is: Lancomes’s «Eau Fraiche Douceur» for around $ 35.00 for a 6.8 fl. oz. bottle. It smells really good and even removes eye makeup.
3) Eat fruits and veggies, whole grains, nuts, and healthy fats like olive oil.
4) Don’t use a scrub on your face if it’s sensitive or prone to breakouts as it will dry your skin and lead to more. Let a professional do it.
5) Always remove your makeup before going to bed and as soon as you can after working out.
6) Use tea tree oil toner, tea tree oil for blemish treatment, and tea tree oil moisturizer for oily/​acne prone skin from the body shop for great results. This stuff is natural and is far superior to any acne treatment out there.
7) Find a good sun screen and use if ALL year long or a moisturizer that has SPF in it. I use Neutrogenas Sport for the Summer in SPF 70. You can use a lower one, but the longer you stay in the sun, the higher SPF you need. I also use a good moisturizer from Estee Lauder with Anti Oxidants in it.
8) Cleanse your face before applying makeup in the shower and use a mask appropriate for your skin type once a week. Also, don’t use cheap makeup as it can clog your pores. A good brand is anything from Prescriptives, Estee Lauder, or Clinique, or Neutrogena. Just make sure it’s appropriate for your skin type.
9) Change your pillowcase often, especially if you have pets or use a lot of product in your hair.
10) If you have long to mid length hair, put it up in an elastic pony tail holder to keep hair off your face at night.
Most important of all, have a good dermatologist, one that ONLY specializes in skin care, and not surgery as you’ll get appointments more easily and quickly. Kent Carson is mine and he is the best one ever! If all else fails, get on some meds like Accutane. It works, trust me as I used it before when my acne was really bad. Hope this helped!

The only reason I’m not giving Kathy 5 stars is because IT HURTS, I don’t know any waxing that doesn’t, so in no way is it her fault. She is absolutely awesome! Someone needs to invent a numbing cream that actually works. In the meantime I have discovered my little trick…2 strong drinks seems to do the trick! Now Kathy and I can laugh and laugh =)
I always feel comfortable (well as comfortable as I can while spread eagle with hot wax on my lady parts). She uses the best wax which does the job fast and with less repeat waxing, which is highly important for those with senstive skin. Kathy is extremely thorough and cares about doing the best job possible. I leave everytime with the perfect brazilian. TMI… but how else can I review this place? hehe =)
Anyhow bottom line, Amore De Beaute is affordable, fast and makes waxing as comfortable as it can possibly be =) I’ve recommended her to many of my friends and they are all happy with their results as well.

Amore De Beaute is located in a really rundown center and the décor inside isn’t the greatest… but bottom line, Kathy gets the job done and does a great job everytime. I came to her based on a recommendation and have recommended several of my friends to her too.
