What a surprise! Small, clean, and friendly. Service quick and helpful. Large potions and tasty too. Not big ‘salty’ after taste. When seated got tea, water, and kimchi(which was delicious). Had Seaweed soup, chicken chow mien, potstickers, braised tofu, honey walnut prawns. Excellent.

I went there on Jun 19, 2016 with my family for father’s day. The day I went, the plaza was really empty, the store looks really unnoticeable from the outside, and inside there is not much crowd at all, but the it is probably because it was a sunday during the NBA final with GSW and Cavs, people are either at home or watching the game at a bar. But not to judge a book by its cover, the food is actually pretty good. We ordered: salt pepper fish, lemon chicken, stir fried spinach, green onion beef, some kind of shrimp dumpling and noodle. The salt pepper fish, spinach and beef are really good,. the chicken is not too special but not bad either(I didnt get to try the dumplings and the noodle barely acceptable for me since I don’t really eat seafood) The total bill turn out less than eighty dollars with the six items we ordered. The service was good, the staff were respectful and friendly, my dad was able to strike up a small chat with the waitress about the game that day and after our meal she even offered to pack our leftovers for us. The store doesn’t have a grand appearance but it is acceptably clean, and the food is great. I would definitely consider bringing friends here to eat :)

My go to spot for hot and sour soup. Soup is tasty and very filling. I like that they added meat and shrimp to their soup… not a lot of places do.

I really love their noodle soups! I always get a vegetarian noodle soup to go! I love the flavor of the broth, and the homemade noodles are super delicious. Also, they put a ton of delicious vegetables in the soup such as mushrooms, bok choy, onions, etc. The soup is slightly on the pricey side– 9 bucks, but it is really worth it for the quality of the soup!

I came here for the first time in 10 years to order to go the other day. We ordered the beef chow fun and the Tsing Tao fried rice. They have the best fried rice! It’s perfectly fried but not too fried and it is absolutely delicious! A good balance of egg and meat in there as well which makes it wonderful tasting. The beef chow fun was pretty good as well. Not too much MSG or notable oil to be seen. Definitely coming back here for more foodz next time.

They have the BEST braised tofu here that I’ve ever had anywhere! I’ve had good tofu dishes at other Chinese places, however, no place makes it this tasty or this soft! It’s tender enough to cut with a fork! They have a spicy version of it and a non-spicy one as well. I don’t really like the vegtable spring rolls that much, but it’s not awful. I’m just a little picky when it comes to spring rolls. They put something different in it. I can’t recall what it was. Mushrooms maybe? I like mushrooms, but not in my spring rolls. Also, they give you a LOT of soup just for the small order! They have to put it in two containers. It contains lots of tofu, the egg drop soup. Most places don’t use tofu in their egg drop soup. At least not that much of it if any. Anyways, I suspect that they do use msg in their food as I got a bit of a stomache after eating the food there. But then again, I’ve been sick for awhile until recently, so it’s hard to tell if it was really the food or not. They don’t specifiy anything about not using msg on the menu, so when in doubt, ask them about that if you have any health concerns. I don’t really like the beef brocolli dish that I got for my husband. They beef wasn’t as tender as it is at other places. I just got take out there the last few times. The places is small but nice inside. It also appears to be a popular place, so it’s always best to order food in advance if you plan to pick it up. And to maybe come in to eat during the times that some older folks do. My husband and I tend to places in the early afternoon to avoid the crowds most of the time. There are some unique items on the menu that haven’t seen at any other place near me, so if you’re looking to try something new, or a more authentic Chinese place, then this would be a good place to go to. This place is located in a small shopping center where CVS and the dollar store is. There is usually plenty of parking available in that lot. Happy Chinese New Years! I’m hoping that the year of the monkey and the year 2016 will be great for everyone!

My family and I tried Tsing Tao for the first time last night. Each year we have a Chinese feast for our New Year’s Eve. We used to always go to Mandarin Gourmet, but after having a disappointing meal last year we tried Tsing Tao. First of all, the Mongolian Beef was very tender. The fried rice was average. The Sesame Chicken and Honey Walnut Shrimp were bland. We were hoping for more flavor. The chicken was also a little dry.

Ordered Special«Tsing Tao Chow Mein» Menu says had noodles, prawns, chicken, beef and vegetables. Got a big plate of soggy overcooked noodles, bits of beef, 2 small prawns, and some chicken. And, no vegetables, except on thin sliver of bok choi. Hmmm… asked waiter if we could order and pay for ½ plate vegetables, because no veggies. No. OK… but where are the veggies? Owner comes over(money man up front), says«You order wrong thing. This not vegetable chow mien» I pointed out the word«vegetable» on the menu item. Owner stomps off muttering some mandarin under his breath. We paid and left. Rude staff. Insulting papa-san. Fail

Tsing Tao is a Chinese restaurant located in a plaza with other stores in Campbell area. The workers here were always kind to us, and they try to keep the restaurant as clean as possible. They are pretty busy at peak hours so I usually recommend going there at an off time or be prepared to possibly wait. They have REALLY good Jjajangmyun(black bean paste noodles) and Champon(Seafood noodle spicy soup). Their flavors are really good and they don’t skimp out on the portions and the quality of their food either. Their family portions are pretty big enough for maybe 3 – 4 people. My other favorites at this restaurant is their Mooshoo pork, Tang Su Yuk, and their fried rice is always a hit here. Everything is really good and I recommend trying everything on their menu out. Overall: Good customer service and delicious and flavorful food. Always worth going back

This is my Filipino mother in-law’s favorite restaurant and I can see why. I grew up in Campbell literally been up and down those stresses and never been here until now!!! Walking in you will be greeted right away and watched over to know right when your ready to order. The place is small but my hubby has been here since Lolo been around(grandfather in Filipino) and it may seem it hasn’t changed since. Cause I think and I know there following the rule of thumb. –Why fix something when it isn’t broken– and this place isn’t broken!!! It’s on PoiNt!!! I know everyone knows a good Chinese food place. But this is everything you want. Your NOT having to go too far from San Jose area for amazing service and some pipping hot quietly food!!! Let’s just say you know it’s good when the man brings you your food and just the smell alone makes your mouth water were you quickly take pictures for this Unilocal to just EAT! Come on a date, with the family and friends. You all will enjoy!!!

8 years after I first reviewed this place. I still rate their Jampong the best in South Bay. The free kimchi they serve as you sit down is very good too. They mixed in some ginger and give it a different but refreshing kind of spiciness. This is a Chinese restaurant, but I always wondered if the chef is Korean. I remember seeing Korean text in some of their menus.

My family and I love going here! This is one of our favorite Chinese restaurants in the area. We love that it’s tucked in a plaza and has lots of parking. We also love the food. The owner is really nice and makes sure my family is taken care of. Food wise, well it’s authentic. My son loves the cream cheese wonton! It’s one of my faves too! The food can be a little oily but it’s affordable and delicious. The place can use an upgrade. It’s a bit outdated and looking a little dirty. New carpets may be a good idea since its looking really old and nasty. The restroom can also use an upgrade. Its eh.

Still one of family’s favorite chinese restaurant. They take reservations which is highly recommended for the weekend. Service is nice and prompt and the food comes out fairly quickly for a busy place. You must get get their dumplings and spicy seafood noodle soup. Both my favorites. Their food is clean and delicious and the quality is very good. Prices are standard. Remember to make that reservation before you head over!

Can’t believe I haven’t written a review for this Chinese restaurant I have frequented since a kid! This place used to be THE place to go for hand pulled zza zzang noodles(black bean sauce) or jjamp bong(seafood soup with noodles). I would hear the older dad slapping around the noodles. Since then, they have changed ownership. The plaza isn’t as run down anymore, and they still have a big fish tank in the front. Restaurant was clean, and empty on a late Wednesday night. My friends ordered the zza zzang myun and sweet and sour beef. Another friend ordered mongolian beef, and I wasn’t too hungry so I ordered the beef chow fun, knowing I could take it home for later. One great thing about this place is their kimchi is really good! The food comes out in minutes, so if you’re hungry, this is the place! The sweet and sour beef was a bit too sweet for my liking, and the beef isn’t super crispy. The zza zzang myun looked good, mongolian beef was decent, but my chow fun sucked. It lacked a lot of flavor, you could already tell from how white it was. The chicken was questionable. Sad to say, even though I took a heaping box of leftovers, it went to the trash. Even sriacha couldn’t fix this mess. Will come back just for the noodles and kimchi.

When in the South Bay, this is the place to get my favorite Korean Chinese dishes! I only discovered this place cuz my Korean friend’s family comes here all the time. Dry fried chicken wings: Yum! Perfect blend of sweet, spicy and savory! Can I say they rival a famous crack wings location in SF?! Seafood soup noodles: I ordered this extra spicy and it came out exactly as I ordered it. Delish! My bowl was filled with assorted tender seafood and the broth was nice and savory and spicy! Black bean sauce noodles: I am not a huge fan of this dish, but my friend loves it! And he loves it here! Sweet and sour beef: I had never heard of sweet and sour beef until I came here. I’m not a huge fan of sweet and sour dishes, but my friend loves this dish! He orders it every time he comes here. Parking is easy as this is in a Plaza. If you’re craving Korean Chinese food in the South Bay, I’d say come to Tsing Tao!
