The pizza was well below average — crust was too doughy and the sauce was meh. The staff was lousy — rude and unhelpful. Example — I purchased two slices and a large fountain beverage. Mid-way through the meal, my nine-year old asked for a small cup of water. She was rudely refused on a slow night, with the person behind the counter telling her that she had to pay for a cup of water. Disgrace. Avoid — bad pizza and lousy staff.

Good pizza at a good price. It’s your typically small pizza joint so don’t expect anything else. But we have never had a bad slice, it’s always fresh. The slices are nice and big with plenty of sauce and extras. Have not found any better around Cape May. Thanks.

The pizza here is solid, east-coast pizza. My family has grabbed a pie(or just slices) here maybe 5 times now and it is consistently very good. A bit too much crust for me, personally, which means the ‘right’ amount of crust for my daughter. My favorite thing is that Louie always has a boom box pointed out the window to the outside seating area, and it’s always playing cheesy 80s music… which totally adds to the setting!

We chose this place based on reviews and a friend’s recommendation. We were very disappointed. There is absolutely no ambience, so assuming you enjoy thick, doughy pizza, take-out is the way to go. If you chose to dine-in, expect to pre-pay, order yourself as there is no table service and clean up after yourself.

Based on Unilocal reviews and a friend’s recommendation we chose this restaurant. The pizza was very doughy. The BBQ chicken pizza consisted of sliced chicken with BBQ sauce and ranch dressing drizzled on top. The service was almost nonexistent, we had to prepay for our food, and clean our tables afterwards. The bathroom had a neon pink liquid for soap. If you like doughy pizza I would recommend you order takeout here. I would not go back.

I give Louie’s a solid«B.» The pizza: Sauce was neither too acidic nor thick; cheese was soft and not too salty; crust was burned — some people like this, I am not a fan; and top portion of the crust was soft and doughy; lands somewhere between thin and thick crusted pizza. The calzone: Big hit!; stole the show; lots of ricotta, parmesan, mozzarella, salt and garlic. The falafel wrap: Good, not great; too many onions.

Just stopped in for s quick late lunch. This is by far the best homemade pizza. The crust was crispy and the ingredients(toppings and cheese) fresh. Plenty of different choices available for slices. Friendly staff too.

Guy’s, what happened? Louie’s Pizza had been a staple in our itinerary of food joints to visit on our yearly visit to Cape May. The combination of massive(read: earthshattering) slices of the worlds most moist yet fluffy pizza is something I had raved about to friends and family for years. This year was a much different experience. We visited Louis a few hours before closing for some end of night eats.(Long day, we were hungry!) I was greeted by a staff that pointedly informed me that they would not be making any more pizza. Dudes, this is Summer. This is tourist season, and this is the time of year where you will most likely have people stop by your shop for a slice of pizza. If the best you can offer is «Sorry, we don’t feel like making any more. Please, purchase one of our day old slices in combinations that you normally wouldn’t touch», then perhaps it’s time to rethink your decision to be in business. Out of respect for what we previously had, I forced myself to buy one of your remaining cold slices. It was disgusting. I threw it away and have now done what I thought I’d never do; reconsider Blue Moon’s smaller, but fresher slices to your cushy once-masterful creations. The shame of it all is that despite all of the above, you still don’t accept credit cards. When will these Cape May shops get with the program?

Louies at this location has been a Cape May gotta go to at least once for decades. The style here is thick crust on the round pies and Sicilian. The ingredients are solid and the service for either eat in or take out is timely and friendly. I am a thin crust guy hence three instead of four stars. I have never had a problem here in over 25 years. Bill for three two topping pies and a cheese steak @$ 80.00 with tax which fed twelve back at the house. Definitely part of a week in Cape May, along with The Ugly Mug, The Rusty Nail, Congress Hall and The Lobster House for local flavors.

The pizza was great. Nice size slices. One slice was a good amount for a lunch. They had seating outside which was nice. I would come back. Bathroom could have been a little nicer/cleaner though.

Awesome pizza. I don’t believe they have ever messed up my order, and the delivery guys/staff at the restaurant have always been very nice. When we go down to Cape May for a week or weekend, we bring back a Louie’s Pizza for the 3 hour car ride home. Being from North Jersey, we know how pizza is supposed to taste and Louie’s has a unique approach but it is still delicious. The subs and calzones are also excellent, while the pizza slices are HUGE… The place is right off the beach, so you can stop in for a quick meal in between your activities too. Highly recommended if you are looking to get your pizza fix in the area!

My family always has at least one pizza meal while vacationing in Cape May. For take out, be sure to call ahead. We ordered a med cheese and a med veggie pizza. The veggie pizza was very good. The vegetables were fresh and the thing must have weighed 5 pounds. Wife and I are still eating 3 days later. It must be acknowledged that I’m a frugal buyer of anything. The 2 pizzas cost 40 bucks. However, you will remember the pizza as a great cape may memory.

Open late which is nice. Big doughy slices. Not warmed enough. Every piece lukewarm. Clean enough. Some offensive signage.

Pizza was warm, delivery was quick, and the deliveryman was friendly. But the grilled chicken salad had no chicken, the 6-topping pizza allows only 5 toppings(cheese is one topping??) and the pizza was not anything special. At all. All of this and it was overpriced as well. Did I mention the hair in the pizza? The delivery guy made this a 2-star review. Otherwise, this place is a 1-star establishment with below average food.
