This gets a solid five star. The lobster roll is very similar to the«naked» lobster roll served in New England. Lightly toasted roll, small bead of mayo, and tons of lobster meat. I did notice it’s more claw meat than tail. Also had the clams strips. Not that I was disappointed, but the order was small for strips. Now, if they could only make the whole belly fried clams like you get in New England, it would be a solid five. Definitely coin up for the larger lobster roll. It’s worth it. And yes, I’d go back. Do I see whole belly clams in the future?!

It’s pretty tasty for sure. I would add a bit more than two lemons to get some flavor out though– and definitely some old bay seasoning they have. The soups were AMAZING. The lobster griled cheese was good but I didn’t like the American cheese– maybe a different cheese to get some unique quality out of it– perhaps a colby or pepper jack. Or, maybe they can have 2 for folks to choose from. I will definitely be back!

Okay, I frigging LOVE lobster rolls. I can’t even recall a single time when it’s been on a menu and I haven’t ordered it. So when I saw Quincy’s I knew I had to give it a try and I’m really glad I did. For those of you who are either unfamiliar or simply not aficionados, there are three components to a lobster roll: A) lobster B) the roll C) other stuff A flawless lobster roll must have lots of fresh lobster lovingly arranged on a roll. The bread has to be light and airy enough to compliment the lobster without detracting from either the flavor or the texture of the lobster meat. The other stuff is the tricky part because really all it does is take away from the other two components and generally acts as a filler because lobster ain’t cheap. At Quincy’s there’s really not to much of component C which basically consists of a dollop of mayo and a bit of butter on the roll. And yes, their lobster rolls are the best I’ve ever had and which is why I returned for lunch several times during our brief stay in Cape May. Don’t let their unassuming look and small collection of outdoor tables fool you. This place is the real deal and the food, while certainly not cheap, is worth literally every penny. I LOVED this place. When we return to Cape May next year I will eat lunch there every day without exception. You should too. 5VERY enthusiastic stars!

During my recent trip down to Cape May, I was on the prowl for the perfect lobster roll. Quincy’s did not fail to deliver, and is definitely one of the better lobster rolls that I’ve had to date. They’ve got a couple of different styles to choose from, and I went with the classic. Think less mayo and more butter and seasoning… just the way I like it. I would say that 14 dollars is steep, but I haven’t really seen lobster rolls sell for less, ever. Luckily for the 14 dollar price point the roll had an ample amount of meaty lobster chunks inside. Quincy’s is directly on the beach so I opted to grab my roll to go and eat it on the beach. Hands down, the greatest beach snack ever. The only disappointing part of my meal was the side of pickle. It was like one teeny tiny pickle chip. No big. I didn’t come to Quincy’s for the side of pickle, and rather a meaty hearty lobstahhhhh roll, which was exactly what I got.

Hubby ordered two jumbo lobster rolls togo for our dinner tonight and all I can say is WOW. I’ve never had a tastier lobster roll in my life. I’ve tried 3 lobster rolls in my life including this one and this one is TOOLEGITTOQUIT. The bun was buttered and toasted to perfection. The lobster was fresh and not overly dressed. I’m not even sure what they dressed it with if it was even dressed at all! The lobster was succulent, lightly oniony with minced shallots and chives and well seasoned. The squeeze of lemon set off this sandwich just right. YUM! The regular lobster roll consists of about 4 oz of lobster for $ 13.95. The jumbo size comes with 6oz of lobster for $ 18.95(so basically $ 5 extra for 2 oz). Chips and 2 slices of pickles are included with your rolls. I think you should give us a whole pickle! 2 slices is a little skimpy. Everyone is complaining about the price, but $ 14 is the cheapest I’ve seen for a lobster roll, especially for one that’s super fresh & delicious! They normally cost $ 15 or more! Loosen up them wallet strings, folks. These rolls are AMAZEBALLS so they’re definitely worth it. Needless to say, you MUST try their lobster rolls if you’re in Cape May. That says a lot coming from someone who doesn’t care much about lobster. Hollas!
