I really love Tony and Albas, BUT I have had some pretty rude(talking to me as if I’m stupid) attitude from certain employees. I am not sure if she was having a bad day? But that alone made my experience there not pleasurable. Though the other times going there, I did not get that kind of experience because that certain person was not there. Beside the non welcoming attitude, the food is AMAZING.

They are closed. Good riddance — I never had good service here. Such a shame, the original Tony and Alba’s was awesome. Even this place had decent food just no customer service skills.

I always loved getting a slice here in Capitola since they opened! Rumor is that Saturday is the last day in this location. Hope the rumor is false(probably not, register clerks at Save Mart next door(practically) are really bummed. Hoping to get one last slice of fun on Saturday before they close — for good :-(

I live near this restaurant, and have picked up food to go from here twice. Both times, they left major items off my order and sent me out the door without them in the tied off plastic bags. The service is pleasant but incompetent. The second time, on the phone, the help told me if I came back, they’d refund my money and give me the salad they forgot to include. When I drive all the way back, the girl hands me my salad with a smile, but no refund for my trouble. I’d rather have just had the refund. Never again.

What’s up with all the negative reviews? I’ve only been to this location once and it was so damn good! I’ve been to the other location twice. I always get a pesto slice and margherita slice during their happy hour because it’s so much cheaper. The last time I went they over cooked my pesto :(but it’s still all really delicious! I’ll keep coming back but only during happy hour because they’re seriously overpriced.

My family and I have been regulars at Tony & albas for many years but recently the pizzas quality has gone down. They changed the cheese used for the pizzas and it is not good at all. I don’t think we are going back and this place used to be our go to pizza place

One if the two places in town that makes gluten free pizzas. Recently they came up with 3 different sizes of gf pizza which is awesome because I can order what I want and then the kids can have one of their choice. The smallest is an 8 inch. Pesto pizza is really great. I like their salads and my husband who isn’t gluten free likes their calazones. Oh and they deliver which is awesome!

I thought it was strange that only one half of my sandwich had that little stick holding it together. Turns out — the stick in the other half had broken inside the sandwich. Needless to say my mouth hurts very much. I like Tony & Alba’s but that is a VERY big mistake.

Awful! it’s pretty sad when a frozen Digiorno pizza is far better then what you serve. We got the Tony’s special pizza. Skimpy and missing toppings as well as slow service. There was so much white on the pizza it was sad. Basically It was a cheese, green bell pepper and onion slice pizza. Was this supposed to be a Christmas special? The menu said otherwise. From their TV ad everything is supposed to be fresh and made from scratch. The first bite screamed cheap frozen pizza dough. At $ 17.50 for a 12″ it better be good but this was anything but that. People that placed orders 15 minutes after us were getting served first as other Unilocal reviews had mentioned. Half the restaurant was closed due to a meeting apparently. Some people wanted sit there but were denied. The tables in the front were full so they had nowhere to sit. How did this place get voted best pizza in 2010? The too long didn’t read summary is as follows: Poor service, Crappy food, Overpriced, a trap Avoid this place like the plague as there is MUCH better options for much less such as Papa Murphy’s not to far from here.

It took us 35 minutes(give or take a few) for us to get our two slices. Crap happens but I wish someone could have warned us that it would«be a while.» Other than that the pizza was great!

I always enjoy coming to this Tony and Alba’s. The«Pasta Special» is my favorite. I can get a half order of the Pasta Special, my choice of pasta plus my choice of sauce. Alfredo Sauce. And a glass of my favorite chardonnay, «Salmon Creek.» Service is ALWAYS good. Always.

Years ago I had tried the pizza here. I remember not being that impressed. Last week my wife and I were out Christmas shopping and needed lunch. We were next door to Tony & Alba’s and decided to give it another chance. We were pleasantly surprised with the lunch special(slice of pizza, salad and a drink). The pizza was much better then I remembered, the salad was good and they even started us off with bread sticks!

They are always super friendly and tbe food is good too! I usually order togo and have had all of their salads. All ingredients are fresh and made to order. I like their Tony’s Special pizza. If you have time to wait for your order, relax and have a glass of wine while you wait. They serve one of my favs Salmon Creek merlot at a reasonable price.

Tostino’s would have been better. I would have paid $ 1.50 vs. the $ 10 for this pizza… the most unforgivable thing I have digested. The crust was undercooked. Severely. The BBQ Chicken Pizza had no hint of BBQ and sprinkled w/extremely bland pieces of chicken. Tiny pieces of chicken. I think I get more white meat from McNuggets. Never. Again. Ever.

Boo hiss! We will never come back to Tony and Alba’s. We were a party of five on a Friday night and had just sat down and began eating our salads when we were told the section we were sitting in was now closed. There was absolutely no indication of this. What kind of service is this to tell people sitting down and eating their dinner to pick up their own plates and move to another section? The sad thing was that the person that told us wasn’t even the manager . Evidently he was too much of a chicken to come out and tell us himself. Way to go, pizza manager, you showed to us your ineptitude of food service management and provided an excellent reason for us to never return to Tony & Alba’s. Obviously you were more concerned with closing early.

I had a bad experience today at tony and albas I ordered a lunch special bake chicken sandwich and the piece of chicken was poorly really thin slice I don’t know if management had to do anything with it because he was the one that cooked my sandwich so is that the right portion of chicken because it was awfully thin for the sandwich I don’t think that’s worth $ 12. manager made it he should put the right amount of chicken I had more lettuce and bread then chicken I recommend eating at Soquelle location they are more friendly and better portions you should never stop at the 41st location. maybe next time I’ll go to Safeway and buy two whole chickens for $ 12

Buffalo chicken pizza is amazing. We ordered ahead with a large group and didn’t have to wait long for good upon arrival.

I knew shoulda checked Unilocal before I went here. Avoid the margherita pizza. Way too expensive(20 bucks for a medium?? ?? !) No garlic, or so little it disappears under the heavy hand of the basil. The toppings slide off and the dough is soggy. One star for a decent crust.
