So, since I moved to Carbondale 4 years ago for school, I’ve been a pretty loyal Quatro’s fan. But after seeing so many Primo’s boxes piled up in my dorm’s garbage cans, seeing how late they were open, and their free delivery, I decided it was about time to give them a try. I’m glad I did. What’s awesome about Primo’s is that they’re open until midnight/one AM. This is great, because most of the time when I decide that I want pizza, it’s well after the usual«dinner rush» hours. As a broke college kid, I also appreciate the free delivery. Free is free. I ordered a medium original crust with salami and black olives, a two liter of Sunkist, an order of toasted ravioli, and a cherry-pineapple dessert pizza. The toasted ravioli were a little well done around the edges, but were pretty good. It’s worth noting that these are meat filled, since I assumed that they would be cheese. It was a pleasant surprise. Served with marina sauce, I’d get ‘em again. The pizza was pretty good too. The sauce is a bit too sweet for my liking, but that’s an issue I have with a lot of pizza places. I really liked that the salami was sticking out of the cheese and got nice and crispy in the oven. There was a good amount of cheese and toppings, and was piping hot when it got to me. But honestly, my favorite surprise of the meal was how good that damn dessert pizza was. If you look at their menu, they have like 10 different fruit pizzas to pick from. I assumed that they were all just pie fillings(which let’s be honest, when I’m ordering pizza at 1am I’m completely okay with this). It was a layer of cherry pie filling, but then it was topped with pineapple chunks and icing. It smelled amazing, and tasted just as good. I will definitely order from Primo’s again, even if it’s just desserts. I think Primo’s is a pretty good late night option. When you want a good, cheap, fast pizza, this is the place to go. I’m sorry I waited so long to add this to my delivery/take out rotation.

I was a regular customer of Primo’s when I lived in Carbondale, mainly because it is very reasonably priced for the quality. Their deep dish is superb and their sides/calzones are incredible. I lived across town and had it delivered, which was pretty consistent timing wise(taking 35 – 45 minutes regularly). I used«campusspecial.com» to order, which was very easy and convenient. Their delivery drivers were friendly and understanding, and the food was always hot and fresh. I highly recommend this restaurant over DiMaggios, Quatro’s or Pagliai’s, which are also delicious but far too overpriced. Much better quality than Pizza Hut/Papa Johns/Dominoes.

The pizza and wings were terrible. Quatro’s is much better. I would never go here again.

I’ve ordered from here twice. they have free delivery which is nice. First time I got a pizza. the crust was rather soggy making it difficult to eat. Second time I had a ham sandwich which was okay but nothing to write home about. Overall, nothing I’d rave over.

I have to discourage people from ordering from here. The customer service is deplorable. We ordered food for delivery. When the driver called to ask if we could meet her downstairs to get the food, I said I couldn’t. When she got to our door, she asked me if I had a disability that prevented me from coming downstairs. I found this incredibly invasive and personal. She told me it was Primo’s policy that people meet them downstairs(for DELIVERY??). I called to verify and spoke with someone who claimed to be the manager. He was misinformed claiming there was no place to park. I told him we have two large parking lots. He then claimed that tow trucks would tow them. After 10pm that might be a risk, but this was 6:30pm. I apparently frustrated him with my facts and he got an attitude with me and hung up on me when I asked for his name. We(sadly?) frequently ordered from there, but this was our last meal at Primo’s. I can get better service and better food actually delivered to my door from other restaurants.

I had primo’s once since it is new to Carbondale. I love it. The pizza was really good, something honestly I didn’t expect. The prices are also reasonable, I believe I paid $ 10 for a large. Great pizza, friendly service & they take checks! Which is what i loved! Bravo, I hope you last in Carbondale.
