A good place for lunch, especially for takeout. Smaller than the shop in Carlsbad. Not as many beers. But the sandwich I had was very good.

The definition of insanity. Love the food, love everything about board n brew. Hate hate this location. Every-​single-​visit is a disaster. I was unfortunate enough to not be close to the downtown Carlsbad location which is awesome. Tried to call busy the whole time. Finally arrived, answered the questions about combo to a distracted server. Paid the bill. Nope no combo, Waiting to see if the meal actually is correct. Once again great food, but avoid this location of you are looking for either accuracy in your order or even some customer service. I get it it’s hip to be rude. Right?

Steak and jalapeño peppers sandwich was good. That’s about it. Got the chicken wrap and they overloaded it with avocado. All I could taste was avocado.
Just like other Unilocal,I’m rating on service. Asked the guy his recommendation & I get a blank face. I receive my order no eye contact. Just call the number and drop. I get better service at McDonald’s than these guys.
I check Unilocal to see what time they close and it says 9pm. I send my husband to get food and they closed early. I don’t know if it’s a Carlsbad thing bc I had the same issue at CW but this time… This place says 9pm close. Are you serious?
The door was open too. The Latino guy tells him no their close even when the sign says otherwise. Sometimes I feel these shops in Carlsbad just doe not give a shit. Excuse my French. Privilege kids with no work ethics and where are the managers?

I tried B’B for the first time yesterday and was not disappointed. I got the Turkado and it was excellent! The bread was fresh, it was loaded with guacamole, the turkey was thick, the lettuce was sliced and green, no cheap iceberg lettuce… YUM! This is my new go-​to for sandwiches! I live near the Bressi Ranch location but was driving near the beach and hungry for a sandwich so I Unilocaled delis, as soon as this popped up I knew I had to go there. I have heard from numerous friends how good they are and they were right! At this location they have outdoor seating which I really enjoyed, not a view of the beach but close enough you could feel the beach vibe. I will definitely look no further for a deli with excellent sandwiches! Although I don’t drink beer, they do serve beer.

I usually get there sandwiches to go and love the casual dinning atmosphere. My favorite sandwich is the turkado (turkey & avocado), but will opt for the turkey club or the Italiano from time to time. The ingredients are fresh, tasty, and served on great bread and/​or rolls. The main thing that sets Board & Brew apart from other sandwich shops is the secret red sauce, seriously it is like a sandwich elixir that takes a great tasting sandwich to tasting like the Holy Grail of sandwiches. Honestly, the sauce it that good, it is sweet with a little tang and add soooo much to the flavor. Another nice touch is they never charge me extra when I ask for extra sauces, truly wonderful customer service and even better sandwiches… WITH SAUCE!

The Turkado. I die! It’s so good and always comes in a HUGE serving! Definitely add the Dijon mustard and sprouts to it!
They have fast service and the employees are chill and accommodating.

I have been to the Carlsbad location off of coast highway multiple times, but have never been to the Bresi Ranch locate until the other day. It was a little cold outside so i decided to try a hot sandwich. I ordered the Roast Beef Spicy sandwich and a friend of mine got the Beef Dip. Both were excellent choices. The Roast Beef Spicy had roast beef, cheese, onion, jalapenos, and Dijon mustard served on a roll with Au jus. The sandwich was a little spicy, but not too bad. There were a few pieces of jalapenos that were rather large that would have been nice if they were cut small, but juts a small detail. The combo of the sandwich and au jus was perfect on a cold day. The Beef Dip was just as good. It just has meat and cheese which was simple but still delicious. Overall nice to know that there are some good warm sandwich to choose from when the temperature drops below 70 degrees!

I’ve been coming to this location for a while but like many places in the area, some I just don’t frequent them as much as I would like and Board and Brew is one of those places.
They make a solid sandwich here, hands down. It’s always fresh, the bread is delicious and you get a great size sandwich for the money.
The place gets busy during the week for lunch with so many business’s in the area but they do an awesome job of getting the sandwiches out considering they are all made it to order.
B&B is more than some office park deli. They’ve got a great selection of items here. Parking can be a little tight in the center, bring a little patience if you come during the busy time. Small inside eating area available and plenty of outside tables in the center courtyard.

If I would have rated Board & Brew off my first visit it would have been an easy 4 or 5. Although the food is good I’m rating 100% on the service I received today. Walked in and headed to the counter to order, younger Hispanic guy with a hat was just counting a stack of cash and never bothered to look up and say anything. …I just stood there. The girl with the tats was on her phone texting and showing pix off her IG to the cooks.
Would not come back.

I love the sandwiches here. The bread is fresh and the special sauce is to die for. I always get the Toms choice and my boyfriend always gets the beef dip which comes with delicious Au jus. They also always have a nice rotation of beers on tap and their happy hour is from 3 – 6 daily.

I like the Baja Chicken for sandwiches but the main reason I go there is for the Cobb Salad with spicy ranch. It is huge and delicious and everything always tastes so fresh. They load up the salad with chicken, bacon and cheese so if you are doing low or no carb this salad is great!
The spicy ranch is awesome and although I enjoy their sandwiches it’s the cobb that keeps me coming back.

Ok I love Board & Brew. Their sandwiches are delicious. But… THEY ALWAYS MESS UP ON MY PHONE ORDER. I only have a 30 minute lunch so calling in an order makes it easier on me. But the past two times I have called in, they didn’t give me what I ordered.
1) first time, I ordered a tuna sandwich on sourdough, and they gave it to me on squaw bread. It’s fine I was not going to complain. It’s bread. I got over it.
2) 2nd time was today. I ordered 3 sandwiches, 1 chicken club (they got it right), 1 turkey on squaw, and 1 tuna on sourdough. They gave me 2 turkeys, one on squaw one on sourdough. No tuna in sight, even though it said TUNA on the receipt! What the heck. I even made the person repeat my order over the phone to me.
I don’t have time to go back to complain since I only have a 30 minute lunch. I guess ordering online might have to be the way to go, and checking my sandwiches when I am still inside the shop. But if you want your order correct, DON’T ORDER OVER THE PHONE. THEY MESS IT UP.

The sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients and are of good portion size.
My husband ordered the tukado and he really enjoyed it. He was looking forward to dipping it in B&B’s house sauce until he tried it. It was too sweet for his taste.
As for me, I chose the veggie supreme. It was huge and I ate it all! It came with bean sprouts, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and mayonnaise. I wish it had less mayo — I’m more of a mustard woman. The house made salsa and packaged mustard made it all better.
As an aside, the customer service is great.

Good selection of sandwiches and beer. I loved every bite of my Left Coast Pastrami. The meat was perfectly cooked and the melted cheese worked very well.
I’m a big fan of places where you get what you pay for. This place is pretty much that. If you want a really big, delicious sandwich and a cold craft beer, check this place out.
Don’t forget to try their special spicy sauce. It’s not the best in the world, but it’ll give your sandwich an extra kick.

Definitely not subway and that’s a GOOD thing.
Pros:
Delicious Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Meat had great flavor. Roll was soft and flaky.
Turcado sandwich on squaw bread was awesome. Made with good quality deli turkey. Ingredients seemed very fresh.
Easy access and parking.
Staff was VERY friendly and super accommodating. I’m a picky sandwich girl and the sandwiches were made exactly as requested.
Cons:
Sign for business is small and made it hard to find. Drove right past it!
It would be nice if you could see the sandwiches being made.
Bottom Line: Get sandwiches here! Great local business. Supports the community and they make good sandwiches.

Got a french dip sandwich, while I would rate the sandwich itself 3 stars due to the tougher than I would like roast beef… that au jus. The au jus I would give 5 stars, not overly salty, but packed with beefy goodness. I pretty much used up the entire container of au jus since it was so yummy.
How many times did I mention their au jus? Not enough.
My co-​worker got the pastrami sandwich which looked extremely tasty, I’ll have to see if I can forgo that au jus next time…

My first time here, it was Delish!!!
I was happy with the Turkado, added pepperoncinis and left out the Mayo. They have this great vinaigrette/​onion/​magical sauce! Will be back they need to bring this Spot to Los Angeles. Beer and sandwiches, it’s perfect! Generous portions, good quality meat and very good customer service. Beer tastings are nice too :)

Came here for lunch on National Sandwich Day (totally a coincidence) and was very pleased with my sandwich! However, you think they’d offer a special considering the occasion.
I got the Veg Supreme sandwich. It came with a generous amount of guacamole, cucumbers, tomatoes, alfalfa sprouts, cheese and mayo on squaw bread. So good! But so messy! Definitely not made for car eating!
The venue is cute. Televisions with sports playing, beers on tap, chalk board menus and smiling faces.
I definitely recommend this place for a fresh, healthy and delicious lunch!
