It’s clean, but apart from that, the value for money isn’t there. Waiting staff take ages to get to your table for drinks. The food, whilst plentiful, isn’t that great. It’s pretty bland tasting. I don’t have any reason to return here.

West Buffet is not a very good buffet in my opinion, and my favorite dish here is the Ice Cream to be honest. The tuna/salmon at the sushi station is actually FROZEN and the lettuce at the salad bar wilts in a bowl of ice cubes. The other dishes, coconut shrimp and singapore beef, are actually quite good. I hope this place improves and it will hopefully open soon under new management.

Closed for renovation. Open soon under new management. Unilocal says this review is too short. I just want to save some people a wasted trip. I hope the new management is up to the task. My wife is gluten free and cannot eat here, it’s my guilty pleasure.

We went to eat dinner tonight and it was the worst ever. The food was cold and most of it must have been setting out all day. They said crab legs and all they had was these tiny little crabs that would take all night to eat. I told them the salmon was dry and it look old not fresh. All they said was oh, ok. No one changed it. When we left because we couldn’t eat anything else because we just got disgusted with everything, I told the casher and she said, Yes food should be warm and fresh. Sorry! Didn’t offer any results. I would have rated them a –10 They SUCK!!!

Excellent seafood buffet for less than $ 15. Hard to beat. The food selection is balanced with sushi, seafood, grilled entrees, fried entrees, salads, Mongolian grill, fruit deserts, ice cream, etc. Always left satisfied.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life! I don’t understand why people go there? I could not even finish my meal, when I walked in I noticed a really bad stench after a while I realize it was dead rodent and rodent urine I asked one of the employees she was very polite, she says yes she knows she can smell it and knows what it is but the owners will not do anything about it. I do not know how the health department does not shut them down!!!

I’ve never trusted any buffet, especially one boasting mostly raw fish. My boyfriend brought me here one night promising a different experience and he was right. I ate so much sashimi tuna(MAGURO!!!) and loved I absolutely loved it. The main points: trust my boyfriend for recommendations and go to West for the bombest sushi and Asian buffet ever. I’ll be back.

I will tell you this right now, 1 star is too generous. The food is cold. The chicken is full of bones. Service is terrible and they cannot understand anything you say. The will make you sick. And whatever you do, Do Not Come In Groups. It will take them an hour to get the count. Long story short, go somewhere else.

My friend said: «Let’s go to West Buffet». That was last Saturday, May 30th2015. Our cars pulled up outside the restaurant, and the place was dark. Two signs adorned the door. One stated«Closed due to kitchen repairs». The other, more ominous sign stated: «Closed by the board of Health». I have no idea if it has since re-opened or not.

Buffets are very difficult to judge. It’s easy to say they are beyond disgusting, with rows of heat-lamped slop for people to graze through like bloated sows gorging at a bottomless trough of food made from the cheapest ingredients to cut down on costs by chefs ‘cooking’ unending amounts of 30+ dishes without even knowing how to make any of them well. I mean, you haven’t lived until you’ve had sweet and sour pork, Mongolian BBQ, sushi, pizza, french fries, and a donut all on the same plate! And yet, everyone goes to buffets. No matter how gross you think they are, there’s always one or two dishes that you can walk away with and enjoy. You just need to wade though an endless sea of crap to find them. In all honesty, expectations should be low whenever coming to one outside of a 5-star Vegas hotel. About the most anyone should really hope for are three things: 1) A couple of dishes you find edible. 2) Ample space for patrons to sit in and move about while filling their plates. 3) To not contract gonorrhea. I was gonna throw in cost, but a few extra bucks to ensure you don’t get the clap wins out any day. Well, West Buffet has room to spare. If you go for lunch, typically only half of the dining area(or one side of the restaurant) is full and the buffet itself is located in the center. There are 5 food islands, a sushi bar, a Mongolian BBQ station, and a full dessert area. This place has no dearth of space for food. And they offer a great variety of things to choose from that seems to change from day to day. I’ve seen common staples like Orange Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork, Coconut Shrimp, Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Pork Buns, Potstickers, and many others. Everything is salty and heated well without much suffering from dryness and the like. I personally like the Salt and Peppered Squid and any form of fried shrimp they have on tap. Like any cheap buffet, if they happen to have crab legs, avoid them like the plague. The sushi is pretty awful, even by disgusting buffet standards. I always feel bad whenever I see anyone behind the counter rolling things up and have wondered on more than one occasion if they ever look back on their lives and dwelled on how they ended up there. If you’re lucky, you might find a particular roll or two that doesn’t make your gorge rise in your gullet too far, but it’s safe to say you can pass on anything you see there and make it out alright. Just beware anything that seems like the sushi chef is ‘experimenting’ with something new. All in all, gross, but in a highly edible way. It’s cheap, which is a plus, but it’s also, you know … cheap. But, if you go in expecting it as such, and don’t mind your back hurting for the rest of the week, you could do a lot worse for lunch.

I do not normally enjoy buffets– they have such a great variety and easy to be seated it was my dads favorite restaurant but he did trick me in there. Nice sushi bar and pretty much something for everyone. I left my cell phone there and they waited after hours for me to pick it up. Just a great friendly environment with a little saki on the side! ha ha.

I enjoyed eating here. West Buffet has a wide variety of good Chinese dishes. Better than most Chinese buffets. They have decent salads, chicken, fish, desserts, etc., Mongolian BBQ. I don’t personally eat sushi, so I can’t comment on that. I suggest going at lunch, dinner is more expensive and not much better.

. Just to the restaurant with a very warm reception we sat down, and then we went to see the food, looks very good fresh, many small seafood such as crab, shrimp, salmon, oyster… The waiter is very good, responsive, able to timely provide what you need, I tried sushi, they have quite a variety of species. They have the Mongolian BBQ. Place is very big, we also asked the manager, why this restaurant is so old, and they said, we have nearly 10 years. It’s a long history but still have a lot of guests! This is very good! I think if you are near, you should totally come to this place and give it a try.

It’s pretty expensive for the quality of food, in my opinion. I was sort of taken aback that you pay when you leave as opposed to upfront. The atmosphere is pretty bland, and kind of worn down. Everything I ate(I didn’t touch most of the seafood except for the sushi rolls) ranged from«meh» to decent. It doesn’t smell especially great. It’s a little bit better than a flat two, but not nearly good enough to be a 3. It’s like a 2.25÷5. I don’t think I’ll ever come here again just for the sake of it, but if friends insisted on meeting here to eat I wouldn’t be too opposed.

I went here since I was invited to have dinner with my family. It was my first time eating at this place and let’s just say it’ll be my last. I don’t like to leave horrible reviews but I must to deter anyone who might be interested in coming to this place. Service was prompt but it was the food and ambience that was terrible. There was a good selection of food but the quality was lacking. Majority of the food looked unappetizing as in it has been left out in the serving trays for a long time. I would not dare go for the sashimi or sushi. For the ambience, there was an awful, pungent smell lingering in the dining room. It smelled like a combination of sewage and bleach. The smell pretty much quelled what little appetite I had left. I’m surprised this place is still open for business.

What the hell do people want out of an Asian buffet? Plenty of one and two star ratings here. I’ve seen a mouse run across my living room floor, but I still like my freaking house and I don’t live in a shit hole. Sometimes those little boogers creep in through a door, or what have not. Now, if I found real boogers on my table, plates or utensils I may have to point that out; or a cockroach, or a hair in my meal. But not a little ol’ mouse scurrying across the edge of a wall in panic. Okay, maybe if I saw more than one mouse I’d have to say WTF. As for the food — nothing popped out at me as exceptional, but everything I CHOSE to eat was fresh and well prepared. I won’t get into particular offerings, as it is a BUFFET for gosh sakes! The service was fine, too. No complaints there. I would not choose to go out of my way to eat here, but when in the area and have family or friends that want stop in I’m NOT going to fight with them about it. I’ll just join the club and overeat as I usually do at a buffet of any type. BURP!!!

This place absolutely ruined my dinner the most disgusting buffet that I have ever been too. Payed almost 55 dollars for 3 adults. I’m suprised this place hasn’t closed down!

NO!!! This place smelled like old fish — not freshly cooked fish — dead fish that had been cooked days prior and left out. You know, that smell when dishes are left in the sink with meat on them. So, I took a big helping of salad. The olives tasted like they were a few years old. I’m not exaggerating; they were canned olives which is fine and expected, but they tasted as though significantly past their expiration. The dressing tasted off. When my daughters and I went to get new plates, some of the plates in the clean stack were dirty. Dirty!!! Not stained, but there was food hardened on them. There was a dead gnat in my daughter’s ice cream bowl she retrieved from the stack of «clean» bowls. There were two fat house flies on the fish and shrimp. One bite of the hot and sour soup and my eldest daughter emphatically rejected it, saying it tasted ‘wrong’. Their oysters smell horrid and stink up the whole restaurant. They didn’t smell thoroughly cooked, so I grabbed one. After poking one, a black slime oozed out and a grey fatty congealed slime stuck to the fork. The salmon also tastes… off. The ice cream there made my toddlers instantly sick. I don’t know if it was left out too long and then refrozen but within 15 minutes everyone in my family who had the strawberry ice cream had severe diarrhea. I’m calling the health inspector first thing tomorrow morning because today is Sunday. Don’t eat here.

My rating is 3.5 stars. When they have holiday specials, the rare food items are delicious. They sometimes have duck, oysters, ribs, fried fish skin and other things as well. Overall the place offers way more variety then others. The sushi is definitely better then most. And I could eat thousands of their cheese wontons. Service is really good only lacks when they are busy.
