This is the spot!!! Always love the vibe, bartenders are amazing! Just had one of the best Bloody Marias I’ve ever had made by Samantha! The owner Joe is awesome! I always send people their way because it’s the best bar in town. Many Mahalos for the memories Flannagins!

This is a quant little pub that has a friendly atmosphere. I love going here and the people are always friendly. The food is excellent and I highly, HIGHLY recommend the crab cake. It is not currently on the menu, but they make it there(and it is being added to the menu). I make excuses to eat there because of this dish! I also really love their onion rings. Really fun little location.

We are locals and come here fairly often. The atmosphere is casual, noisy, sports on the TV’s, etc. They have a great assortment of beers and nice premium wines by the glass. And the food is good!

A great burger… can add toppings like bacon, avocado, etc with no additional cost. Maybe the best burger in carmel, and a bargain too.

Went there today for the first time and will definitely go back again. Service was good and best corned beef sandwich I’ve had in a long time. My wife had a bowl of chili and said it was very good.

You have to try the crab cakes, they are great and the outside is pet friendly.

Like the fact that it’s small. Went only for the drinks. I haven’t tried the food. Bartenders were nice.

What can I say about pub food except that I didn’t have high expectations. Initially we came in for a beer, a hot meal and to be able to watch the Washington Huskies play the Washington State Cougars. It was odd to see a bunch of folks sitting outside but I guess the chilled air wasn’t an issue for them. We sat in a table facing a large flat screen TV. We were served our beverages immediately. Within minutes the waitress took our orders. I ordered a basic Flanagan burger and my friend ordered the Irish Stew. He thought it was just ok and finished the entire bowl. The burger was prepared as requested, medium, with all the fixings on the side. I ordered fries with my meal despite the many other options offered, i.e., onion rings, mashed potatoes and salad. Since the game was still on, I ordered the NY cheesecake with a dollop of whipped cream. It was supposed to have berry sauce but I’m glad they forgot it, I wasn’t craving that. After a dessert,(2) glasses of Blue Moon, a burger and a bowl of Irish Stew, we were ready to go. The huskies were winning so it was obvious we weren’t missing much. Lunch at Flanagan’s was pleasant and a good place to duck in for a hot meal. If you’re not expecting food like Chez Panisse but looking to get a glass of beer, some sports and a nosh to eat, then by all means… drop on by. They had a pool table, darts and warm fire inside.

We were in the area for the Big Sur Half a few weeks ago. My husband’s burger came out way undercooked so we asked the waitress if we could get it thrown back on the grill. Not only did the cook throw it back on the grill but he replaced the fries with new, hot ones & refreshed all of the burger toppings, pickle, etc. Great customer service is rare but this place has it. The food was better than average pub food. Big thumbs up!

What a great place! I can see where it might kickoff at night, but coming in at lunchtime, it was relatively quiet. Everyone was really friendly and the food was great. My husband had the bangers and mash, and there was no problem to sub mash with chips. It came with a really good spinach and carrot veg mix. I got the dabs, and it was very good. I selected onion rings as a side. My dish also came with veg mix. The onion rings were a serious highlight. Many places do it wrong with a flavorless batter, this place does it very right with a great batter. You won’t regret going here if you’re looking for a solid meal.

Perfect casual meal for our traveling fam of 5. Loved sitting outside on their second story patio with pretty view of foothills. Fish & chips were better than average… Light batter & thick pieces of cod. I’d go back just for those if we lived nearby! Fam also gave big thumbs up to the OMG steak sandwich, Philly cheesesteak, & chicken Caesar salad. Doesn’t hurt that they have Guinness on tap. Lastly, I’d say i wouldn’t sit inside with the family… It was warm, and more of a bar atmosphere.

I stayed at the Carmel Mission Inn and this cool place was within walking distance. Old school pub vibes with a cool patio. Also dog friendly. I had fish and chips. It was good and prices were reasonable. Their wine pours are generous. A great place to grab a bite or catch the game if you’re staying nearby.

One of the worst meals I’ve had in a while. Chose this place over others because they had outdoor seating and are dog friendly(really the only positive about the place). I ordered the mini crab balls as an appetizer which were overcooked to the point that the crab had zero seafood flavor and took on the consistency of a shredded chicken. My girlfriend ordered the clam chowder to start, and it was about as good as Campbell’s clam chowder. For entrees, we both ordered the fish and chips. Mine was overcooked, bland, and the batter soaked up so much oil, that it was like biting into a greasy sponge. My girlfriend’s fish somehow managed to be undercooked, with the fish being cool to the touch and raw. Their«tartar» sauce is nothing more than ranch dressing and relish mixed together. Our service was virtually non-existent. We saw our server 4 times throughout the meal. 1.) take our order; 2.) drop off an incomplete drink order(we never got the waters we ordered); 3.) drop off our appetizers; and 4.) drop off our entrees. I had to go inside to pick up our check. The final straw to this meal is the presence of the piss– drunk barflies that come out to the patio and smoke at the table right next to you while you’re eating. In closing, if you want to go to a restaurant that serves large portions of poorly executed and overpriced fare, stop your search and come on down.

Sat at the bar for five minutes and had to «ask» for a beer after the lady next to me(who arrived after me) was greeted as a local and served before me. I waited but still had to ask for service. I was going to order food but after looking at the menu for ten minutes I was not even asked if I wanted anything. Been here for 30 minutes with no engagement from the staff. I will not be back and I love Irish pubs. This was a disgrace.

The food here was surprisingly delicious! When I think of a pub, I think if average food with large portions. Nothing to write home about, but good enough to pair with beer. Well, I didn’t drink. I only ate. And the food was amazing. I order the burger with cheddar cheese and bacon with garlic fries and my husband got the fish and chips. The meat on my burger was quality grade and cooked perfectly. The fish was flaky and did’t have too much batter. The staff was very friendly as well. Next time we’re in Carmel, we will visit this place again.

We came here because all the touristy restaurants in Carmel had closed for the evening and this place stays open later. Not far up the road at all to come here though. The portions were enormous, food was great, and reasonably priced(which was a relief after the CA sticker shock everywhere else). Despite a lot of customization of our orders, they didnt upcharge for anything. Service was great too. The only thing that struck me as odd was the country music thumping in there(someone’s juke box selections apparently) despite it being an Irish pub in Cali.

Friendly workers, very laid back atmosphere, but ultimately fell flat because of the fish n chips. When they talk it up as much as they do, it’d better be damn delicious… It simply wasn’t. Cooked very well, but the batter was completely lacking in anything resembling flavor. I had to slather it in salt and(bad) tartar sauce. Doesn’t help that they were super oily. If I’m eating something that greasy, it’d better be damn delicious.

A really good pint of Guinness, Decent food. Friendly folks. It is a pretty small place so not ideal for groups. Did I mention a very good pind of Guinness?
