Oil change "service" now dead engine. How? Oil filter not properly installed. The shop manager & front desk phone operator refuse to give shop insurance, upper management, or owner's contact information. As a female navigating the predominately male auto mechanic world its difficult finding a reputable & trustworthy shop for service. I'm a returning oil change customer - shop serviced my previous vehicles & expected quality service on my newest but instead left with complete negligence on a routine oil change. Its nearly two weeks of being told, "Our insurance will contact you" via shop manager to no avail. When mistakes happen - this is not how you treat customers. Future customers RUN AWAY!

Diane & her husband always do great work on my car. I have been going to them for many years now! You can always TRUST them to be helpful, knowledegable & if they aren’t able to give you an answer right then she will always call you back once she’s located the right information. Great group of nice geunine people.

This actually happened in 2013 and after hearing another friends RECENT nightmare they scolded me for not posting this on Unilocal.
I went to Kwik Kar In Carrollton To get my oil changed and while I was getting my Oil changed I asked Diane Kalaf how much it would be for them to change my front and rear breaks if I brought in my own set of new breaks… She verified the type of Car and quoted me 131.00 since I would be providing my own parts and it would be just labor only. I said I would do that later on down the week. I came back on 01/​16/​2013 and asked Diane If we could go ahead with the repair. She confirmed the type of Car and asked if I would be supplying rotors. I said no and asked if they could just «turn» the rotors… she did some quick math on her calculator and said ok the total would be 155.00 to turn the rotors and they were booked for the day so I made an appointment for 01/​17/​2013.
I dropped the car of at 10:30 AM on 01÷17÷2013… after a few hours I received a call from Diane stating that the rotors could not be turned and they had to be replaced. She quoted 240.00 for her to supply the rotors. I said no thank you and I will bring some new rotors to you. So I went and bought new rotors for 100.00 at autozone and quickly took them to KWIK KAR for repair.
I came back a few hours later to pick up my car and all of the sudden my BILL was 261.00!!! And both owners (Diane and Marc) were gone… the girl that works the counter acted like she had a problem when I asked her to call and Confirm with Diane. She called Diane who stated she would be right back… I waited for them to return
When she returned SHE BLATANTLY LIED AND SAID NO, YOU ARE WRONG I NEVER QUOTED YOU THAT… I QUOTED YOU 135.00 FOR THE FRONT AND 135 FOR THE REAR. I laughed and said absolutely not… we were very clear that I needed front and rear changed. She became agitated and said well you just have to pay it there is no way i am lowering our labor that much… She became very rude and said well you just cant have your car back then. I said I was calling the cops… which I did
In the mean time Marc came in and would not talk until I asked if he would like to get involved to help resolve this… he became belligerent and started calling me a mother fu^^er and told me he was going to place a lien on my car and that I would pay no matter what. He threatened me several times saying he was going to throw my @ss out… i told him go ahead and try and I wasnt leaving until the police came…
The police finally show up and say that they are sorry that it is a CIVIL matter and there is nothing they can do if they have my car then I would have to pay and then take them to court… he said he was sorry and that he responds to 2 or 3 complaints a month for the same thing at this location where people are quoted one thing and then billed for another…
they are total LIARS AND SCAM ARTISTS…
SO I ENDED UP PAYING 261.00 FOR THESE CON ARTIST TO INSTALL MY BREAKS FOR ME. I SUPPLIED ALL THE PARTS AND GOT RIPPED OFF JUST FOR THEM TO INSTALL THE BREAKS AND ROTORS … ABOUT AN HOUR AND HALF JOB MAX

Don’t go here! I’ve been to other Kwik Kar places and usually they’re great, but this place is horrible. They overcharge for oil changes, and I’ve never seen such a rude staff. The man outside was decent but the receptionist was rude, obnoxious, condescending, and flat out mean. I went here for an oil change, inspection, and to check out one issue. I will not be coming back ever and I will recommend to anyone that asks that they go anywhere but here. Customer service fail!

Up front, knowledgable, privately owned. Owner spent 10 minutes with me explaining what was wrong with my car, and what would fix it. He didn’t try to «up sell» me and actually advised I wait for the repair (bad sensor).

This place suspiciously didn’t have a Unilocal entry, so I created one to help out fellow car owners.

I went in for an oil change and inspection. The oil change is more expensive than anyone else in the area, but I thought since they were doing my inspection I might as well get it done.
I told the mechanic there was a problem with my taillight. The bulb was not out so I thought it was a fuse. The young mechanic was rude and condescending, so then an older man came out. Maybe the father/​owner. I told him I need an inspection, but I need you to fix the fuse for my taillight, because I assume this is required for an inspection. They said ok.
I get a call a few hours later. The receptionist proceeds to tell me all the reasons I failed the inspection, one of which is my windows are too dark? She acts like she knows what she’s talking about, but she doesn’t have a clue.
I go to pick up my car and the old man tells me I’m going to need an entire new taillight assembly, and that the electrical is bad. And that he failed me at my inspection! So I still have to pay. I told him that was unreasonable, since I addressed the taillight from the beginning! So I reluctantly paid the full bill, and left.
Later that night, I found the blown fuse, replaced it, and fixed my taillight.
Do not give this place your business. Not only are they overpriced, but they take advantage of you and don’t know what they are doing.
This is one of those auto repair places that your hear nightmare stories about.
Keep driving and find another repair place!
