The food was pretty good. Even though the waiter forgot my order of bacon, our waitress brought it seconds later. Not a place my husband and I go to regularly but, it’s a good place for breakfast or brunch.

Don’t know why the reviews here are so low… I go here as often as I can. It’s my go to breakfast spot, and being the salsa lover that I am, the mexican skillet is my go to meal. Yes it’s not super cheap; granted, each dish comes with a looottt of food — if I eat one of these, I’m good for the rest of the day!

One of my favorite breakfast and lunch spots! Great service, thats fast and friendly. Everything is made to perfection. From the waffles to the french toast to the sandwiches you just cannot go wrong. The hazelnut ice coffee is fantastic as well.

Service is usually efficient and friendly. The breakfast here is always delicious. I’ve tried several items and always been very satisfied. They get packed on Sunday’s but seem to have a system down as far as getting people seated quickly. Great place for breakfast

Every time I have been to this location the service has been extremely slow. Ordered food Togo and was told 15 min I get there about 20 minutes later and still had to wait another 20 minutes and then they shorted me a full meal and had to wait another 15 min for it.

Im @ Egg & I now for the first time & probably the last time. The food is less than impressive, the omelet was delivered plain minus half of the veggies and chicken that I ordered. The waitress brought another one which was little bit better I wanted to go to their kitchen to show the cooks how to cook an omelet. On the fluffy side my wife and son enjoyed the Blueberry pancakes.

I love this place. Great food & service, you can’t go wrong. Breakfast is always amazing, everything is delicious. My own thermos of coffee, you can’t go wrong! Lunch is great too, homemade soups are incredible. Private room you can ask for if you have a large group, free of charge and has a big screen and projector. Really awesome neighborhood spot.

This specific location is absolutely horrible and I have experienced that more than once. The wait is usually long but once you finally get seated no one even asks you for your drink order until 10 – 15 minutes after you are seated, then ordering and getting your food takes a very long time. The last time I visited this location we were so frustrated we left right after our drink orders. We let the hostess know that we were leaving due to service and she did not care at all. I will not be visiting the egg & I anymore.

Brunch spot that absolutely nails the benedict game. Creamy hollaindaise, runny yolk, and amazing ranch potatoes to soak it all up and leave you ready to seize the day… or take a nap. Coffee was hot & bold, service was good as well. All in all, a great little spot to knock our brunch. The pancakes are huge, larger than your face, and just as delicious as expected. I didn’t have a chance to try to waffles or any of the skillets, and I can’t speak to the lunch menu, but all in all, a solid experience. Looking forward to trying out more!

This is one of my favorite breakfast places in the north Dallas region. You get a ton of food for such a low price and it’s all delicious. Their services good and the place is clean. I love their hazelnut coffee it’s so good especially with a waffle. They seem to be pretty busy on the weekend so expect to wait if you go.

The service here was good. I have no complaints there. I didn’t give it 5 stars because my order didn’t come back right. I did not mention it to the server, so I guess I didn’t give them a chance to fix it. The breakfast burrito was pretty god but not my favorite. I think the cold toppings blew it for me because I like the warm comfort of a good burrito. I did have to ask for refills and my server didn’t notice me looking for her although she was at the front of the restaurant having a conversation with another employee. The atmosphere was quiet and they have wifi if you want to bring your laptop in. All in all it was an okay breakfast. Nothing too thrilling but good.

I don’t write reviews very often so trust me when I say this place definitely made a great first impression. Our waiter was very prompt and attentive and the food was to die for! I got the eggs Benedict with bacon instead of ham and it was the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had in my life. oh and don’t get me started on the ranch potatoes!

Just poor service, mediocre food, overall disorganized. You’d think a brunch place would have brunch figured out by now, but these guys were Struggling with a capital S. We were seated right away, but had to watch tables arriving after us have drink orders taken and served before our waitress visited. She had trouble with the order, not familiar with the sides or other options. A food runner brought out the food, but forgot part of it, so we had to wait again for that. Just a miniature comedy of errors. The food was pretty rough and overly salty. The eggs in all forms everyone ordered were brown, dry and overcooked. The ranch potatoes were not browned at all, like they came out too soon or the pan wasn’t hot enough. Paying at the counter was much more a hassle than it should’ve been, no one seemed to pay attention to me for more than 2 second bursts. They were to busy helping each other figure something out about the computer or tables or something that must’ve been far more important than me. I don’t have high standards for a cheap casual brunch, but they still just bombed.

First time here was a few days ago, food was delicious and good pricing too… service could be improved just a little, like they could serve the coffee warm and not take so long with the drinks but overall great place to brunch with the family! (I had the Huevos Rancheros!)

We went for breakfast, yesterday, and I ordered milk with mine. My husband ordered the Santa Fe Huevos and, when it came, there was a greenish-brown blob where the guacamole goes. He asked what this brown stuff was and the waiter said it was guacamole. My husband then asked, «And you serve it like this?» To which the waiter responded by rolling his eyes and walking away. Seriously. He just walked away. My husband scraped the guacamole off and continued eating, while we laughed it off. Eventually, after I reminded him, the waiter brought my milk. There’s nothing special about the food here and I can’t figure out why people go here. Denny’s is far superior. We won’t be going back.

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and got the Strawberry Fields Waffle. It was light and tasty… perfect waffle… and the strawberries were sweet! Excellent restaurant if you have little ones too, very family friendly.

First time visitor today. Service — really good Food — good Coffee — good For a low-cal option, the veracruz chicken and avocado omelet was a good choice. It came with fresh fruit, a cup of salsa and an English muffin, lightly buttered. My husband had the Colorado scramble. He said it was really good and he likes the way it was presented in its own separate dish. This is a pretty basic breakfast place that has all the standard breakfast stuff — eggs, omelets, pancakes, waffles. Nothing spectacular, but I can’t find anything bad about the place. I’ll go again when I want a quick, decent breakfast.

Excellent food and beautiful customer service. It is always nice to find a new place to eat where the staff genuinely act concern and have smiles on there faces. I will definitely come back again and refer other friends. Delicious! Just delicious…

Good, friendly Service, but the food is not First Class — just alright. But simplicity & consistency is what folks go there for. Wouldn’t return myself.

Excellent location and great restaurant. I have been to this location several times. Everything tastes great. Last visit to this restaurant was Sunday, 3-15-2015 about 12:15 pm. Though the restaurant was extremely busy, service was excellent and fast. We waited about 10 to 15 minutes to be seated. I ordered the Belgian Waffle from the«Favorites» list. The food was excellent — this waffle is really good! However, I do think The Egg and I restaurant chain should consider changing how this meal is plated. The waffle, the eggs, and the bacon are all served together on one large platter. So the first decision the customer has to make is «Do I really want my eggs and bacon in the syrup?» My answer is a resounding NO! So I decided to very quickly eat the eggs, hoping the waffle would stay warm. The bacon, I put on the top edge of the platter, out of the way of the syrup. The waffle did stay mostly warm. The reason I did not ask for a second plate was that the waiter did not return to my table to ask if everything was okay. I tried to get his attention but failed. As mentioned, the restaurant was extremely busy. So, dear restaurant chain, why don’t you serve this as you do the biscuit and gravy platter? With this platter the biscuit and gravy are in an additional bowl centered on the platter. This is presumably to keep the gravy from getting on the eggs or the potatoes. I personally wouldn’t mind so much about gravy on my potatoes or maybe even on the eggs. So if you’re so careful to keep those items separated from gravy(which doesn’t run nearly as much as syrup), why aren’t you concerned about keeping the eggs separated from syrup? Please consider changing the way the Belgian waffle is served and get five stars.

My favorite when in Dallas. They know how to do breakfast. Try the egg byte low calorie breakfast. The staff is very nice, and get to know you if you come in regularly. Parking is easy, and the place has more seating than it looks like. We saw high schoolers, families, and business deals happening.
