We eat here about once a month for Sunday morning breakfast. Today decided to skip the long wait at another local casino and head down the street to this consistently good café. Today had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Food was quick, served hot and everything was as ordered. Steak was crunchy, gravy was flavorful and eggs were a perfect over medium. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this place.

Great breakfast on Super Bowl Sunday. OM eggs were perfectly OM. Pancakes were cooked a perfect consistent golden indicated perfect timing and temperature. Bacon was crisp! Very important! Some might just pick out the crispest of the bunch and call it good, but they took the time to toss it in the Secret bacon crisper the plates looked beautiful the hashbrowns were perfect, and presented beautifully on the plate. Thanks again for the best breakfast I’ve had in a Long time!

Foods not to bad depending on the time of day you go breakfast for some reason is a little slow it’s breakfast time people have a cup of coffee wake up let’s go do your job, but by lunchtime they seem to be up on there game up everything seems to be pretty good, dinner thats a different story its always a hit or miss the salad bar sometimes its good sometimes is not sometimes they have product and sometimes they don’t other than that not too bad I just wish it was a little more consistent

Food was actually good for being inside a casino

The food was very good for the price, the waitress, Amber, was very attentive for as busy as she was and the atmosphere was relaxing.

This is their fish sandwich for $ 8.99! Wow you have to be kidding me right? look I like the breakfast as this is probably the best meal for me, they recently changed their menu and took off another one of my favorites the fish and chips! sure it is like on a secret menu now, so you have to ask for it, but overall you just have to pick your favorite and stick to it, but the fish sandwich has got to improve or leave the menu page all together. the salad bar is good, you just need to check it before you decide you want it. and at times I wonder if they reuse the clam chowder if there is leftovers as it can be the best one time and runny the next. hummm

Great service. Never had an issue here with service. Everyone is friendly. The food is a bit under seasoned… perfect if you dislike salt and pepper. Easy fix.

The food was very delicious. My husband had their Chicken Fingers and Fries, I had their Chicken Taco Salad. The service was great and the café overall, was an enjoyable experience. We WILL be back.

The food is good BUT coated in butter and gives me a tummy upset everytime I eat there. But my biggest complaint is the coffee… you can SEETHROUGH the pot when they are refilling your cup. Its the weakest coffee I have ever had, totally not worth the $ 2 they charge for it. Ocassionally you get a waitress that just acts like she doesnt want to be there.

Walk through the smokey smokey casino to this little café located in the corner of Slotword on Hwy 50. The food is basic fare, breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are specials located on a flat screen television over a small soup and salad bar. I’ve gone there a few times, and breakfast is by far the best choice. The coffee is great! The place has gone from fresh made items to food that is from the same distributor for all the other small places. Tastes exactly the same.

I am upgrading this review for the bacon cheeseburger. I already reviewed it under SLOTWORLD since I forgot Betsy’s has her own entry here. But it is inside Slotworld. Anyway, since I had another burger here, I figured I could do another review and it wouldn’t really be cheating. Nice thick piece of char-broiled hamburger, done just liked I asked, crispy bacon, and not that paper-thin crap they foist of on you at fast food places. Burger is served disassembled so you can toss the tomatoes and just have the onions if you want. Nice bun, although mine was too close to the vegetables and wound up a little soggy on one end. All in all, a very decent burger,

Betsy’s is a nice local place to get good comfort-food meals. Prices very reasonable and food quality good, service fine. Don’t go for gourmet-style dishes!

I’m not sure why most ratings are high for this place. The food I had ordered was extremely disappointing. I came here because of higher Unilocal ratings. but I definitely wont be coming back. Yuck.

Ate here this week with friends. They all had breakfast and all insisted that their food was perfect. I had a grilled Turkey Parmesan sandwich. Great grilled sandwich, with alot of turkey. Fries were perfect and sandwich was very good. I will be back.

Slotworld’s café has been really nicely renovated. And breakfast all day? My favorite! Ordered blueberry buttermilk pancakes, which were among the best I’ve tasted. For a steal of a deal at $ 5.50, I wasn’t expecting them to be absolutely loaded with fresh berries and arrive in a size that filled my dinner plate! Picked up a pound of the Peruvian coffee while I was there, and as the other reviewer commented, I was quite happily surprised by how smooth and easily drinkable this coffee is. Coffeehouses and restaurants in the area should seriously consider buying from the local roaster at Slotworld… and everyday Carsonites should too! Great way to start the morning. Will be returning soon!

A decent little café that you would expect to find in a small local casino. Nothing that sets this place above and beyond. Decent food, decent service. Nothing to write home about. I had the Nevada Melt, and it was OK. My family shared a Texas Cobb salad I believe… typical casino café quality.

The coffee from Slotworld is Carson City’s best-kept secret. Seriously. A friend brought a pound of the Peruvian blend to a brunch I hosted recently. Dear reader, I too was skeptical. But this coffee — mellow, well-balanced, with a nutty smoothness — was unequivocally the best I’ve ever tasted. Most coffee you encounter on the day-to-day is merely vaguely palatable. This coffee, however? Superb on its own; no cream and sugar necessary. It is that good. My advice to all C-City denizens and passers-by is to grab several pounds of the beans they sell at Betsy’s Café. It is, incredibly, only $ 6.95 per pound. «That gal from Unilocal was totally right,» you’ll muse to yourself over your fifth cup.
