We have been steady customers since Lou and Joanie have owned the business and have always been pleased with the great service and awesome food selection and quality.

Heard great things about this place but wish I could of at least tasted their food, I walked in and asked for a table for two and the host took me to a back room and asked him to get me two waters with lemon and he said the waitress will be right there. My lunch date showed up and the waitress still didn’t even come after ten minutes to greet us when she did come to greet us we were ready to order so we both ordered two turkey wraps which took about 20 mins for two wraps and at that point we just asked a bus boy if we could get our food to go because my lunch date was going to be late to work so at that point the waitress brought out the wraps and said she was sorry that they were busy but yet she didn’t even try to make it better the fact that it was my first time going to this place probably won’t be back for a while oh and I was going to pat in the front desk the guy asked how was lunch and told him how the experience was and responded oh sorry to hear that and I said it’s alright I just didn’t want my lunch date to be late to work and I’ll just pay for it and then offered me a free brownie?! For the inconvenience!

First off, my wife and I have been coming to Joanie’s Creekside Café for a long time. This is the first time I have written a review for them. Creekside is a hidden gem. Service staff is very attentive and friendly, even at lunch hour peak! My ice tea glass was never given a chance to get half empty. Thank goodness the bathrooms were close!!! Sandwiches are top notch there, why? The bread… They use great bread, without that and you do not have a great sandwich. Ingredients all VERY fresh, my wife raved about the turkey in her Turkey cran sandwich. The club sandwich was amazing too… We took home Joanie’s homemade Roasted Corn Soup, another home run. She’s makes delicious soups! I’d go just for her soups any day. It all ends with paying the tab with friendly Lou. You just feel welcome there. Do yourself a favor and go to Joanie’s…

The waitress was friendly and the very plain food was delivered quickly. My spinach salad was nothing special and consisted of half a boiled egg, huge rings of red onion that were inedible in that size, about half a piece chopped bacon and the chicken chunks were still frozen. I believe McDonalds has a similar salad, but the McDonald’s salad has a greater variety in toppings. No fresh ground pepper was offered and no salt or pepper was present on the table. This is a cheap diner-style restaurant where you have to bring the bill up to ‘baseball cap’ to cash out. ‘Baseball cap’ is very special. Do you want to dine at an average restaurant with plain food where a loud, toothless man in dirty clothes takes your money? If so, please dine here!

Just started going there a few weeks ago, but it’s a must-do now for Sunday breakfast. The service is genuine and fun, the food fresh and tasty and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

Well, what can I say made it here right at 11 am an sorry no longer serving breakfast. The guy that sat us doesn’t even seem to care. Having worked in kitchens I understand that the change over for lunch makes it more difficult to continue to serve breakfast. The burgers we ordered more than made up though. What can I say, DELICIOUS! Can’t give five stars because of the breakfast thing.

My husband and I had breakfast here for the first time today. The food was priced reasonably and it was quite good! I got the french toast and he got the eggs benedict & both of us were pleased with our meals. Service was friendly too! We’ll be back!

While on a recent visit to Carson City, NV. I found myself hungry for lunch. With a locals tip they told me about Joanie’s Creekside Café. Wow what a Gold Mine! The food is freshly made and the owners Lou and Joanie are as gracious as it gets. Lou is busy working the front end and Joanie was working her magic in the kitchen but they both still had time to find out if everything was to my liking. The staff was also very attentive to my needs. I ordered the Turkey and Cranberry sandwich and the soup of the day which just so happened to be Butternut Squash soup. The sandwich was great but the soup was out of this world. The food was so good as well as the ambience I had to go back. The next time i went I had a Hamburger and tried the soup of the day. Hoping I would get another crack at enjoying the Butternut Squash soup but found out it was Minestrone not to be disappointed it was just as pleasing. They are also open for breakfast. I can only imagine that it is just as rewarding as the lunches I have experiences already. I have made it a point to be a regular when ever in the area. I want that recipe for the Butternut Squash soup! I highly suggest if in the area do yourself the courtesy and stop by JCC. Your palate will thank you.

Really loved the service here! They serve breakfast and lunch. You will be greeted by a very friendly team. While you are waiting to be seated, you can look at all their specials for the day. When seated, this room has just the right amount of light! The waiter staff is awesome! Very vibrant and full of energy! The menu has both breakfast and lunch all day! This works for me and my husband. He prefers breakfast and I prefer lunch. I ordered Mexi Cali wrap. You get your choice of spinach, wheat, or flour wrap. It was very good! My husband got bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. Good came out fast and fresh! I will be back!

My coworkers and I have been visiting this establishment weekly for the past year with mostly pleasant experiences. Today I received some extra charges for condiments and asked Mr. Baseball Cap Aka the owner about these charges. He proceeded to tell me that they are homemade and he has to charge for them. Ok no biggie we will pay for it. Mr Baseball Cap crossed the line when he told me if I didn’t like it I could get my food down the Fing street. Mr Baseball Cap is a complete rude utter asshole who has the appearance as if he just threw his baseball cap on and showed up to work with yesterdays clothes on. There are plenty of other reputable establishments in Carson City that work hard to keep regular customer’s coming back. This was my last visit to Creekside Café.

I went to lunch here with some co-workers, I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak with onion rings. It was a different kind of cheesesteak but very delicious. Good customer service, friendly atmosphere. Just too bad they only open from 7AM-2PM. The food all look good. It needs a bigger sign so people can see it from the street.

I’ve been coming here for years. The food is fresh and flavorful, the service always friendly, with desserts that we frequently take home for later. It’s the go to place when friends are visiting from afar. I try to avoid the 12 to 1 hour cuz it gets very busy with the working folks, but even then, we’ve never waited for a table. Even when busy, you can still be in and out in less than an hour. Highly recommended!

We went here for brunch and were pleasantly surprised with the cute décor of the restaurant. There was a nice European rustic theme to the restaurant and this theme is evident everywhere and all the way to the restrooms! Very very cute, indeed. I had the French dip and it came with fries(and they were reminiscent of McDs fries, which I LOVE!) and my bf got the Mexicali burger, and he devoured that one. Our server was the best. She was so so nice and accommodating. We wanted to sit by the window and even though they already cleaned that area and was technically closed, she let us move to the window seat table! Major brownie points! Another thing that really impressed us is how clean this establishment is. We came here near closing time and by the end of our meal there was about 6 employees diligently cleaning… and this is a pretty small café! And as if that wasn’t enough, when we were paying for our bill we mentioned to the cashier how it was our first time and how we had a really nice experience. The cashier reached in the glass casing for a macaroon(the size of a jelly donut), handed it to us and said«To the no-longer-Creekside-Café-virgins! Hope to see you guys again soon :)» How nice is he?! And that macaroon was delicious, by the way, absolutely delicious. We will definitely be coming back here!

I had the pleasure of eating here last week for the first time. I had never heard of it before, and am not often on that side of Carson, as I live in Gardnerville. I had a delicious veggie sandwich on very fresh rye bread. The coleslaw was just right too. I am a vegan, so would like to see more of those choices on the menu too. My daughter had a turkey and cheese on sourdough and enjoyed it throughly. The young man that seated us and brought us water had a great sense of humor, and our server was spot on as well. The ambiance in her is homey, relaxing and charming. On the way out I was given and enormous macaroon, since I was a «Creekside Virgin» and I am embarrassed to say I ate the whole thing! It was amazing. We will be back to this little treasure.

I go to this place almost everyday. The servers are very courteous and always keep checking on you to see if you need anything. The food is great. Almost everything on the menu is worth trying. Special mention to the housemade falafel wrap and pesto turkey sandwich. They have a rewards system as well for regulars. Have 10 entrees and the 11th is free. My only complaint with this place that even their special’s menu is fixed. Monday’s is always meat loaf sandwich etc etc.
