This is the worst Port of Subs EVER! The most terrible, rude owners, careless and no control over all their crazy family members in the restaurant. Do not eat here! If I could give less than one star I would but Unilocal required I leave one.

Being from the Midwest, Port of Subs had the look and feel of a Jersey Mikes where meat and veggies are piled high. Unfortunately, this is not even close. We ordered a #18, 12″ roast beef and turkey with provolone, and the meat/cheese was extremely thinly sliced and lined up as a single sliced layer of turkey end to end with one thin sliced layer of roast beef(2 super thin slices basically for the sandwich) and four tiny cheese slices that only covered about 2⁄3 of the bread when put on the sandwich. Same thing for the tomatoes and veggies. We were asked if we wanted extra meat, but declined after watching what is probably the most chintzy application of ingredients for a $ 10 lunch meat sandwich we have ever seen. In fact, if you have had Jimmy Johns, you know they are not generous with the meat, but the JJ’s 6″ has more meat than this sandwich. The service was prompt and they were very polite, but management/ownership clearly has a minimal ingredients policy. Overall, very disappointing. We might try a different location to see if it is specific to this location, but if so we will just get a stacked sandwich from the Raley’a deli for half the cost in the future.

My friend brought me here today for lunch. I would say sub wise it’s comparable to Subway. Wasn’t bad and since it’s close to her house will probably eat here again if the mood strikes.

Sandwiches and bread are always fresh and tasty, but if you’re looking for conversation or even acknowledgment on anything non-related to the making of your sandwich, this staff won’t provide it. They are focused on building your meal and getting you out of there.

Out of the six times i have eaten here, twice i have gotten food poisoning. Last night was the last straw, thanks alot! Someone here is obviously not washing their hands and cross contaminating or not keeping the food fresh, since the sandwich always looks like it has fresh lettuce and tomatoes, im guessing its either bad mayonnaise or dirty hands. Owner definitely needs to re-evaluate staff cleanliness policies with everyone.

Quizno’s, Jersey Mike’s, Lenny’s or insert national sandwich chain here, I’ve seen way too many lack luster, one notch above a Subway options out there to get excited about any of them. Port of Subs sounded like more of the same to me. It turns out I was wrong and I owe the P of S some credit. The first big win for me comes from the fact that you start the order process at a meat slicer where the meat of your choice is sliced fresh on the spot. There is something to be said for fresh sliced meats and cheeses before your eyes as opposed to seeing it come pre-packaged from a plastic bag under the counter. Secondly I like that the meat selection is heavy in very traditional Italian meat options such as Salami and Capicola. I realize Subway does technically have Salami, but it is really not the same and it is not a preselected option. Once you get passed the meat and cheese selection you’re back to the typical choose your accompanying garnish set up with the usual condiments and vegetable fare. You probably guessed it, but I had the Salami sandwich. It could’ve have been purely phycological, but I’m saying the fresh meat and cheese made a difference in taste. As for the bread, it wasn’t bad, but certainly not special. Beyond sandwiches, Port of Subs has a selection of wraps, salads and other semi healthy foofoo stuff typical of all of these types of places. At the end of the day we’re still talking about a sandwich from a chain sandwich shop which tend to be about as boring as Dr. Drew without Adam Corolla. With that said though, I wouldn’t hesitate at choosing Port of Subs over the usual cast of sandwich misfits and characters.
