The employees here were friendly and they were willing to take my order for pickup even though they were closing in 25 minutes. Other places wouldn’t even though I called 40 minutes before closing, which was Bru-Go’s. Anyways, when I got there I was greeted with a friendly hello and they told me it would be about 5 more minutes. I said no problem. The pizza we got was half cheese and half mushroom and olive on thick crust. It was actually pretty good, crispy, and the crust was surrounded by a crispy layer of Parmesan cheese. Very tasty.

This is one of my favorite pizza places. And their spaghetti and meatballs is amazing. Always great customer service.

I loooooove Wally’s. Their pizza is so good. We get the same thing every time we go. Which is the meat locker with bacon instead of Canadian bacon, and the other is a custom pizza. I get creamy garlic sauce with pineapple, bacon, fresh basil, and roasted garlic. If you think that their pizza is plain, I strongly recommend you go with the custom one. Everyone that I’ve introduced it to has fallen in love with the flavor combination. When I’m in a mood for pizza, this is the first place I go. It’s not your typical pizza by any means, so if you’re looking for something different and amazing and spectacular get my custom pizza. The only thing that I need to tell you is that these pizzas take time. The dough is a little thicker than most, so it takes time; but I promise it’s amazing. The people there are nice, but do understand that the bigger the pizza the longer it takes. All good things come with time, my friends.

With all due respect to the other reviewers on this page, I cannot agree in any way, shape, or form, on a negative review for this place. Wally’s, since it opened, has been our #1 go-to pizza choice here in Carson City. Always prompt, friendly, and if there is ANY error, they will make up for it, ten fold ++ The pizza is amongst the best I’ve had, the only other Pizza that comes to mind, is the now defunct Pinky’s Pizza, of Marin County, CA. They also offer many promotions, and, if you happen to be bowling at Carson Lanes(The pizzeria is located in the same building as the bowling alley), you can call in your order, and have your food delivered right to the bowling lane. So, I’d say, take all these other reviews with a grain of salt, and, reconsider this place, I can’t really say enough about it. If you have an issue with your order, just speak up, and I’d imagine, they’ll do their very best to make things right. Pizza Pizza.

Not great at all. Boring. I got the hawaiian. Covered in pineapple and the cheese wasn’t cooked all the way, the crust was soggy. The crust looked like something I would make at home, nothing special. Delivery driver was nice. This is like high-school cafeteria quality pizza, and not cheap.

I really, really wanted to like this place. I went into tonight’s order with a very positive attitude. After all, it’s tough to find anyone who will deliver to Indian Hills, on the edge of Carson City. We ordered after seeing their FB promotions. The pizza was ok, nothing I would go out of my way for. But that’s not my reason for the 1 star review. It took them nearly 1.5 hours to deliver(according to Googlemaps, we are 3.0 miles from them, and it should take 6 minutes to reach us), on a Tuesday night(good weather — no road issues). We ordered a dozen garlic knots, we got 6. We ordered online, using the«free delivery» code they tout on FB, and still got charged for the super-slow delivery. Not worth the $ 30 we spent, by a long shot. Sorry, Wally’s. I very rarely give negative Unilocal reviews, and I’m not sure I’ve ever given one this low, but I think folks out in Indian Hills who might view this as a welcomed delivery option should know, realistically, what to expect.

Good price on the wings, boyfriend liked them. Turkey sandwich was bland. Bread was hard as a brick. Garlic knots were nice and warm, but soaked in oil. Fries were okay but a little salty. Not sure if I’ll spend $ 31 here again… might go back for wings but thats about it.

Horrible customer service. I arrives to pick up my order and they had half the order ready and the other half not even started. When it was done and I was ready to pay they were busy taking other people’s orders or allowing people who just came in to pay for their pick up orders. I brought it to their attention and they still didn’t care. I wanted to do the right thing and pay for my food so I waited. I left an hour later paying full price for a cold meal.

MEH. Such a perfect word for this pizza joint. Don’t get me wrong, it was edible but it wasn’t fantastic in any way. The crust was too thick, the dough overly prominent, and the ingredients uninspired. My personal opinion: go elsewhere. Brugo’s, Round Table, Papa Murphy’s: all these are actually worth the dime.

Service — terrible!!! I ordered two subs, it took 20 minutes for the kid to make them. There were two people working and both just kind of wondered around aimlessly, trying to figure out where they were. The Italian sub is awful, it tastes like one of the meats is bad… very sour and it left a horrible taste in my mouth. The classic with ham was OK, nothing to write home about. I’m not a big fan of Subway but I’d take it any day over Wally’s.

They have a wonderful lunch special for $ 6.00, including sub, drink and fries. The onion rings are not the best, but the italian sub is pretty good. The staff was nice, a bit slow for us being the only ones in the resturantl, but overall good experience!!!

I lived right next door, so I tried — I really tried! — to like this place. I gave them several chances, but I was disappointed every time. It would have been nice to have a good pizza place so close to home, but it turns out, even after trying several different menu items, I’d still rather have a meal from the jail cafeteria than from Wally’s. First, the service — or lack thereof. The ordering process took FOREVER and I had to keep repeating myself(are the people who work here all stoned??). The people behind the counter, including the manager Danielle, seemed to have no regard for customer service. They would always be chatting(and continued their conversations even after I approached the front counter and stood there waiting — which I think is pretty rude!) — either that, or the front counter would be empty when I’d arrive, with the employees hanging out in the back of the restaurant, so you have to call out to them a few times just to make them aware that a customer is there. They always seemed to make me feel like I was wasting their time by just walking in the door to order something. Most of them seemed to hate their jobs and be pretty apathetic about helping anyone. They also seemed to frequently mess up the order and had to start all over again, doubling my wait time. The pizzas I got from Wally’s were less than mediocre. The flavor was bland, at best, no matter which kind of pizza I chose. The crust was either burnt or soggy, or the pan side of the crust would be totally covered in flour(I know you don’t want it to stick to the pan, but people don’t want a mouthful of baked flour with every bite of pizza). There is nothing special about the dough, the sauce, the toppings, or anything in between. When you open the box the pizza looks beautiful, but don’t be fooled — you’d experience more flavor by munching on the cardboard box it came in. They apparently«pride themselves» on their meatballs — you can order them as a standalone item, or as part of a pizza or pasta dish. I’m not sure why they’re so proud of them; all they seem to be is a heap of unseasoned ground beef and breadcrumbs shaped into a flavorless ball and slopped onto a plate(or pizza, or pile of spaghetti). It seems they might think that the occasional chunk of chewy gristle mixed into their meatballs might qualify as «flavorful,» but sorry Wally’s, it’s not helping your case. They also offer broasted chicken on their menu. This sounded like such a good idea, because I’m a lover of all things chicken. But the actual chicken fell far short of my expectations. Like every other item here, it was bland and flavorless. Almost depressing. Chicken shouldn’t be depressing! How do they even manage that? The only thing I actually enjoyed here were the $ 2.95 Garlic Knots — little bites of pizza dough baked and drizzled with butter and garlic — but that’s a side dish, not a menu staple — and how could you mess that up?(Well, besides burning them, like they did mine once.) And no matter how tasty these little nuggets may be, they definitely aren’t good enough to make up for the entire rest of the menu ranging from mediocre(at best) to terrible(at worst). Save yourself the disappointment and just throw a Digiorno in the oven or open a can of Chef Boyardee. Seriously.

The pizza is horrible. You’d be better off buying a frozen pizza than eat here. It’s very bland, sometimes just downright gross. The garlic knots are awesome though.

I went here for lunch one day and ordered a sandwich. I meant to get it to go but they made it for dine-in so I changed my plans. The sandwich was good but nothing fancy. For the money I spent, I’m unlikely to come back.

More a 3.5 but I give them the benefit of the doubt for nice staff. Yummy, gooey, cheesy pizza, interesting topping combos but boring crust. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

I was with my Daughter and we decided to try this sandwich shop for the first time. We were a little nervous as we were the only people in the shop. I had the beef and cheese sub and my daughter had the giant slice of pizza lunch special. They had not started any pizza yet and gave my daughter her choice which was very cool. She had the Hawaiian and said it was good. The beef and cheese was OK. The bread was good, but the sandwich lacked flavor. I will probably try this place one more time.

That was a good little pizza. Not the best in town– that honor belongs to Brugos– but it has a nice, home-made thick crust. Having had some experience making my own pizza crust, it’s recognizable and filling. Two or three pieces and I’m done, where I can just about polish off an half a Round Table all by my lonesome. The toppings are a bit sparse and the sausage is a little too finely ground and pre-packaged for my liking. Looks like some good prices and great selections on the menu though.

We were in town for the weekend and looking for a good pizza in Carson City(which is asking the impossible, I know). Based on the two ecstatic reviews here, we decided to try the pizza, even thought the place is always empty every time we drive by. It was, in fact, empty on this night as well. I have to say, after reading the reviews, then trying the food, this pizza was a huge let down. This pizza is not unique or notable in any way, and this will be the shortest food review I’ve ever written. Here it is, ready? This pizza was blah. Although it seemed to be cooked properly, and there were enough toppings, it did not taste as good as it looked. The crust was flavorless, the sauce was mediocre at best and the toppings were bland. Thus, the pizza was an overall BLAH. Perhaps the problem lies in the fact Carson has no good pizzerias, so with nothing good to compare this pizza to, it might seem to some like it’s better than, say, oh, I dunno, a WalMart pizza. But it most certainly is not better, especially considering the hefty price tag. If you’d like to try a really great, unique hand-made pizza, drive into Moundhouse and go to «The Pizza King», or trot up to Reno or Tahoe to practically any of the pizza places there. Then you’ll see that this pizza is not any better than a frozen store bought pizza at best. Hmmm. Perhaps there’s a reason this place is always devoid of patronage, even on a Saturday night in a town with no good pizzerias.

I’m down here at the Newly Remodeled Carson Bowling Alley. I guess they’re calling it the Carson Lanes Retail Center now. I went in to check out the new Daycare and Preschool(wow that place is amazing. check out my review on that). Anyways, I stopped in to this new Pizza and Sub place Called Wally’s. Wow, I had the best Toasted Ham n Cheese Sandwich ever. And the fries are exceptional, the beer-battered kind. While the price might be slightly higher than other places, the food and the service was well worth it.

Very, Very, good pizza crust! One of the best I have ever had! Pizza crust is made fresh on site, they told me! Great variety of fresh toppings, and my three girls love the sandwiches. Great family friendly atmosphere!
