Stopped in today to try this place out after somewhat giving up on Playa Azul for my burrito fix. Prices are decent at $ 5.05 for a super burrito although I would say that as some of my Unilocal friends from California have mentioned, Super out here and Super in Cali are apples and oranges. The burrito itself was of a decent size(but not really super, as noted above) and tasted pretty good compared to my old burrito spot in Carson. Slightly toasted flour shell, cheese, guacamole, beans, rice and meat. The taste was not exactly ‘bland’ but their seasoning could stand to kick it up a notch. Overall a decent burrito. Salsa bar, while limited compared to other places was clean and appeared to be fresh, which is of course a plus. Service was quick and to the point.

I’ve been a fan of the original Super Burrito in Reno for years. Nothing fancy, delicious, affordable. Many fond memories of sharing their ridiculously Super Nachos with one or more friends(WAY too much food for a single person). Fast service, great salsas, tasty goodies from the kitchen. This Carson City location is not the same animal. My first – and likely only – visit was for a quick bite on a lunch break. I had dinner plans so I didn’t want a huge lunch, so I ordered from the child’s menu. A bean burrito and a quesadilla. Total price was around 5 bucks with change, so initially I thought, «Groovy!» Quesadilla was almost cold and just really small for the price. Should have skipped it. The burrito tasted fine if a bit bland – enhanced by an acceptably spicy salsa – but I paid for it later. Not to be too graphic, but I’m usually a pretty regular guy when it comes to the ol’ bowels. On my usual diet it’s like clockwork. Super Burrito Carson upended that and then some. Yes folks, I had the trots for several hours after my misguided lunch stop. I’m giving it two stars because it tasted good, but DAAYYYAAMN on the after effects. I’ve eaten at dozens of taquerias with varied levels of flavor success, but I can’t recall the last time – if ever – I spent the rest of the day visiting the facilities. No bueno. Nunca más.

We have eaten there many times over the last four years. Most of the staff recognizes us yet they are still unfriendly. You get a dirty look just asking for an extra cheap paper plate. Although I give the food about a 3 to 4 star rating I give the customer service a zero. I am almost inclined to not go back because the staff is almost rude.

It’s still better then the green burrito down the street but it is not like the Reno location. The salsa is consistently watery at this location.

Really good food! Only giving it 4 stars because the lady wasn’t very nice at the window. But overall loved the food :)

I’ve seen the bad reviews and was a little hesitant, but everyone at work was recommending them, so I thought, why not? It was really good. Very nice, stuffed burrito with steak and beans and rice. Had a soda and chips and quite good salsa, all for under $ 10. Also, it is 2 minutes from work, so I know I’ll be back!

I love this place. Go there at least once a week. I just get the kids plate, cheap and filling. I think they have the best rice and I love their salsas. Customer service is just meh but I don’t think they’re trying to be rude, there is just a language barrier.

The food is OK — have had worse and had better, but I’ve been in four times now and never heard the staff so much as grunt during a transaction. They never say thank you and half the time they forget to hand you your number. I agree with an earlier reviewer that said they seem unhappy. You don’t have to flaunt over me when I come in, but for god’s sake, grunt out a «thank you» or «gracias,» since I can go anywhere to eat.

Super Burrito is a great option for a taqueria style restaurant in Carson City(and I am going to include the Minden location also). The food has alway been very good in quality and an excellent value. The super burritos are a staple item and are available in several different meat choices including asada(steak) shredded chicken and al pastor(pork sausage style). The tacos both soft and hard(also available in different meat choices) are always a treat and they have an excellent super nacho. For a taqueria style restaurant they also have a wide selection of combination plates that are a great value. Whether you order inside or use the drive-through the service is always within reason. Always better quality and better taste and in most cases better price than any fast food.

I don’t get anything except the chile relleno burrito because it’s amazing. You want food? Get that. The horchata isn’t bad either. Anything I’ve ever gotten with meat has always made my Tortilla soggy at the bottom and it grosses me out. There is one lady there who I really enjoy seeing, she is always really nice.

Patricia was so accommodating. We were across the street at Dutch Bros Coffee and the girls recommended Super Burrito for breakfast. We drove across the street and Patricia took our order before she even had her open sign on. Being in a bit of a hurry, we super appreciated her initiative and the burritos were perfect! Crispy bacon, melted cheese, flavorful beans and scrambled eggs. I just finished it and am glad we didn’t split one because I pounded mine! Thanks Patricia, that should hold us over until we get to Mount Shasta :)

I’ve only been here twice. The first time the food was good, I always get beef tacos, and they have the little bar set up so you can load it with salantro or sour cream. They even have little to go cups for those not eating in. Both times however, the customer service was not pleasant what-so-ever. On my second visit, I asked the cashier what was her favorite item on the menu, and she gave me a weird look and a very bland answer of the burrito. They don’t look happy to be there. I do like thier food for the most part, and they even have a television in the eating area, but I don’t like going there simply because they don’t care enough to interact with new customers like I was.

I will never ever go back to this location. The food is so-so and I was a little put off by them charging for drink refills, but that’s not the real problem. I give this place one star because there is no soap in the women’s bathroom. When I say no soap, I don’t mean the dispenser is really low and you have to bang the dispenser to get a tad of soap out. I mean there is no soap in the dispenser and there hasn’t been any in the dispenser for a LONG time, so long in fact there is no goop or moisture left from the soap. It was completely dry. How do employees wash their hands before returning to work? In the kitchen sink, I suppose. Yuck. If you are so cheap that you refuse to make soap available in the bathroom, then I will not patronize your restaurant. That is just gross. Charging for drink refills is cheap, but not providing soap in the bathroom is inexcusable.

I get the chicken and beans Togo. Then go home and make my own tacos. It makes a great meal. I fed the whole family for 6.00. What a deal. Chicken is really good and tender. Beans are very good. If your looking for a quick meal idea. Think of super burrito. You also can order just chips Togo too.

Food is decent but the«women» working there really need to learn what CUSTOMERSERVICE is. Which i’m not sure that they know that’s what you need to have while working in fast food. Not friendly and act like it’s a pain in their ass to have to walk to the register to swipe your credit card at the drive through. Man their job must be tough! I’ll stick to other locations.

The Super Burrito in Reno is more like Subpar Burrito and sadly this one is too. They use an extra huge tortilla and fold it over on itself so it looks like it’s bigger than it really is. Quality is just a little up from a microwave burrito. The al pastor tasted OK but it’s nowhere near authentic … just some plain pork chunks with hell of sauce that I guess was more like an approximation of adobada, it tasted OK and basically saved the burrito from total disaster, but it’s nothing like you’ll find in a good taqueria. That and the $ 5 price point basically the only redeeming factors. Other menu stuff like the tacos might be better, but if you’re gonna call yourself Super Burrito …

Being from San Jose and having lived there most of my life I know what a super burrito is and what it should taste like. This was a joke. First off what they called a super burrito reminded me of one of those rosarita burritos from the store size wise maybe a little bigger but not much. Flavor eh not so much. I got carnitas it was very bland, the meat I did find looked like chunks of tuna and the burrito overall was boring. For 5 bucks I guess I was expecting too much. Won’t be returning anytime soon.
