First review was a bit harsh. Fried fish taco is good, the special one with shrimp is rather small and overpriced. I got the chicken mole bowl this time — it is quite tasty.

i got a carnitas burrito. there was a lot of meat: smoky and salty and pretty tasty. there were a couple of fat chunks that were a little gross and squishy, but not bad. the rice and beans and tortilla were normal, though i liked the bite and freshness of the onion. it was best with salsa; i tried a puréed red one that had a tiny kick to it. i wish they had pico, but it wasn’t meant to be. pretty filling, and i ate it over the course of three hours(though i could have had it for two meals had i had a fridge to store it in). three stars. pretty good quality, especially at this price point.

BOMBBBBBB fish tacos and fish burrito. Not expensive at all either. And the portions are very filling. Definitely worth trying

ALLELUJAHFORTACOTUESDAYS! Well, I’m really thankful for Tuesdays because they close the latest which is at 11pm! I HIGHLYSUGGEST calling in your orders especially if you’re about to order a «FAMILYPACKFOR20»!!! JK but seriously. I’ve seen families leave Hole Mole with two or three bags full of food! Ayee, GREATFOOD and GREATDEAL! Nothing wrong with that. Even if you just have one item to order, I would phone-in the order. That’s what I do, EVERYTIME! I even have their number saved. Tonight, I called in my order and was told it’ll be ready in 5 – 10 minutes. I did’t know whether to be concerned that they didn’t sound busy or glad because they’re not busy for once! LMAO. As I was looking for parking in the back, only a space or two available said otherwise. We parked and OHHELL! The line was to the door, and OUT! YES, I counted and there were 10+ people in line. This was 7pm on a Tuesday. Half the people called in their orders so all we had to do was stand in line. STILL, we had to wait another 10 – 15 minutes INLINE. WHILEINLINE, get your salsas, limes and chiles! OH, and napkins and forks! Don’t forget. I never had an issue with calling in my orders. They always get it right. If you have trust issues, THEN check before leaving the premises.

The cashier was friendly upon entry and the restaurant was extremely clean. Because this was my first time here, I anticipated so much based upon the menu and the Unilocal reviews. I ordered the traditional Ensenada fish taco paired with a corresponding Ensenada burrito. The taco was delicious, street style and filled with flavor. The burrito was a bit different, nice size full of surprises but also a bit salty. I’m not a big fan of salty food so this threw my enjoyment off. Again I knew the ingredients were fresh and plentiful but the excess salt was overwhelming for my tastebuds. Would I eat here again? Yes, however I’d opt for grilled fish. This is truly a great option from the typical fast food and easily available a few minutes off the freeway.

I absolutely love this place. The fish tacos from this place is amazing! I can really come here several times a week. The food is so fresh and light. It’s best to dine in if you get the tacos Togo they can become soggy.

Their fish tacos are really good. They have a selection of sauces to choose from and their chilies are addicting. I always get a bag full. Gets really busy and parking might get full but it’s one of my favorite taco spots to go on a Tuesday. I recommend bringing your own water and sanitizer because the bathroom is not very clean and the water tastes weird to me. That’s my personal opinion though.

Taco Tuesday is the best, we’ve been coming to have lunch here on Tuesdays for a couple of weeks now and it’s always a good experience food is great prices are reasonable and the service is good, I come for the fish tacos, growing up visiting my grandfather in Ensenada we would stop and buy fish tacos made fresh at a little stand on the side of the road, Hole Mole fish tacos are as close as you can get to the experience of Baja California’s fish tacos. City of Carson’s number one spot for fish tacos, come on down see you on Tuesday.

Finally found a Hole Mole place that’s not compact and so crowded every Tuesday! The line gets long but there’s enough space for everyone. Huge dining area, plenty of seating outside. It’s in the same plaza as Back Home in Lahaina restaurant. Parking in the back or street parking. Overall, I find this the best Hole Mole because of its location size and seating!

Yeah, really didn’t care for the chicken mole burrito, didn’t have a lot of flavor. Was hot in temperature and it was on the small side. My niece had the Ensenada shrimp taco and she raved about it. I’d go back to try that little taco. Staff is nice and place is clean. Located next to Back Home in Lahaina Hawaiian restaurant, so parking lot is in front and in parking structure. I’ll try it again. This place us new.

Hands down the best Fish Tacos in town. The fish tacos are freshly made, very crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The Carne Asada is perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. I dont mind the wait, since I know they make it fresh. The customer service is excellent, clean restaurant. I love the salsa bar, make sure to try the grilled peppers. Dining area is pretty big, plus outside patio seating. Plenty of parking in the back, or street parking. Tip: Tacos Tuesday all tacos $ 1.15 each. It does gets busy, just be prepare to wait. But its worth it.

The first time I’ve ever had carne asada fries was back in college when I first attended UCR. I’ve never heard of such thing until then. Fast forwards 10+ years later. One of the guys at work had recommended this fairly new place for me to try. We don’t have any mexican fast food restaurants in Carson that has carne asada fries on the menu. The closest for me is Alberto’s Mexican restaurant in the city of Wilmington. Compared to Alberto’s, the quality of the meat and presentation is a lot better at Hole Mole. The service is great. The cashier greeted us as we walk into Hole Mole and introduced us to their menu with much enthusiasm. We ordered carne asada fries, 3 tacos(chicken, shrimp, fish), chicken burrito, and 3 drinks(1 large horchata) for $ 24. Quite possibly the best carne asada fries in the area. Thanks Hole Mole!

I don’t know what they put in their grilled fish tacos, but they are addicting! My husband is obsessed with the breaded shrimp tacos, every time we drive by one of their locations we have to stop by and get some, hungry or not. Their meat and fried fish is good too, nice salsa bar, excellent service. Great prices, good portions, except for the tacos, they are tiny and so good you will want more, so order up. Service was fine, food came out quickly, cannot wait to be back!

Tacos tacos tacos! Came here for taco tuesday 30 mins before closing and the workers were really nice, I was surprised because usually at other places they kind of give you that bad vibe like they want you to go away. My cousin and I were super hungry and wanted tacos! I ordered asada tacos(onions and cilantro) and asada fries(beans, onions, guac, sour cream, cilantro, all that good stuff!!) and Mmmm it was yummy. The fries were soo big, so it is definitely for sharing! The food didn’t take long at all, so I was happy about that. I found parking right away, they have a lot in the back of the plaza, keep your eyes open because I almost drove past this place. I will definitely be back for more taco Tuesdays and try the other tacos!

No more driving to LB now that there’s one in Carson. Street parking only and not so much available if you come during lunch or dinner hours. Tuesdays tacos are $ 1.15. Can’t beat it. Fish tacos are really good! I’ve had pretty much every taco they serve there and they all are good. Not too greasy like those hole in the wall type joints. Lots of selection for other food and desserts. They have lots of variations for special tacos and burritos. Wasnt a fan of the burritos. Too much rice and beans. Nachos or Papa Nachos(french fries) are huge and really good! Lots of selections when it comes to sauce! Wish they were open later than 10 but oh well…

Holy Mole we were hungry! after another after basketball tourney. Had this place bookmarked to try and glad I did. Got here 15ish min before they opened, but the gal working said come on in and let us graze the menu and place our orders before they were officially open. Nice. So after a couple min. we decided on a few items for our lunch. Asada Tacos Asada fries Fish & Shrimp tacos Al Pastor burrito Order at the counter. After I had time to graze the salsa bar and hot sauce corral for so taco & burrito apps. before the food arrived. Decent salsa bar and a fair enough spread of hot sauces. Added bonus they give you some roasted chili’s with your food! Food Taste: The Asada Tacos … were very flavorful nicely seasoned meat that was tender not chewy like you average taqueria. Also they didn’t skimp on the beef. A better meat quality = better tacos. Pretty tasty asada. Asada Friies … This was another pretty tasty dish. No shortage of toppings on this bad boy and all the goodies in there worked very well together. I recommend this one! Fish & Shrimp tacos … these are a better than average representation of the Baja tacos we So. Cal peeps love. I could eat ten of each. Pastor burrito … this was a let down for me. Little«pastor» taste. Had to add lots of everything to enjoy me burro. They even have an inside out house. a beautiful outdoor patio and the place is spotless. Our service was great and the HM gang made us(20+) feel at home. The girls loved the fries. and you know how hard it is to make the little ladies happy. Plenty of parking in the adjacent structures. Next time in Carson we’ll be getting Hole’ Mole again.

This was a GREAT find for us! The tacos are street style which means small and just a few bites but that is what is soooo great! You can order a bunch of different tacos and satisfy your cravings for just a few bucks I highly recommend the chicken mole taco on a bed of chips… only draw back for me is the fact that there is cheese melted on the shell but for most people that is a huge plus… I don’t like cheese… sorry. Do get the flanquitos for desert or the fried ice cream both are great!

OH man. The Lord is good on this one. Finally, Carson has a Hole Mole! I feel like we should’ve had one from the beginning, but whatever. We have one now!!! So lets start off with the service. The workers are very helpful and nice. Whenever I ask about something on their menu, they always explain the taste, consistency, etc. Very helpful! Secondly, their food! UHH-mazing. I always HAVE to order the crunchy shredded beef tacos because they’re only a buck something and it comes with two fried tacos. SOMUCHYUM. The sauce makes it for me. It’s not spicy, but it kind of tastes like ranch? I don’t know. I can’t put my finger on it, but it is so delicious. Other things I’ve ordered were the Carne Asada Fries(yum!) and the tacos on Taco Tuesdays. Can’t go wrong with $ 1.25 tacos! My favorite tacos are the Al Pastor, Carne Asada, and the Fish tacos. The fish is fried in batter and it has a white creamy sauce on top almost like sour cream. Although the taste is on point, the storing or cooking probably isn’t. My friend and I have had a couple of stomach aches after eating the fish tacos. I don’t think it is a coincidence because it has happened more than one time. Each time I fail to let the employees know, but next time I will definitely say something if it happens again. But other than that, I love how everything is affordable. They even have refillable chips for only $ 1 +tax. Make sure to try this place out! I’m definitely a fan! P.S order ahead on Tuesdays or else you’ll be waiting with half of Carson.

LOVE Hole Mole’s fish tacos! especially on Taco Tuesdays! Tacos are $ 1.15 each on Tuesdays. Take advantage of that because their tacos are good! The food quality and taste is exactly like the Hole Mole chains in Long Beach. I’m giving 4 stars because it seems like the taco size is a little smaller than what they serve in Long Beach(maybe smaller tortilla size? idk.)
