Visited today, ordered crème French toast. Very skimpy on French toast. Extemly thin. Suggested to them. Use Texas toast or challah bread. Will see if they take suggest. Waiter seemed pleasant, sloppy shirt and not ticked in. Hostess were pleasant

Have eaten numerous times, but not lately. Got their new special, meatballs and pasta entrée. It was OK, but just not particularly tasty. Waiter was nice and attentive. Biggest testament is whether you’d go back based on the dish you had, and I wouldn’t. So falls into the vast array of normal but not outstanding.

I went to Mimi’s tonight for the first time with my boyfriend, he has been twice before. I was INCREDIBLY impressed with EVERYTHING. We were sat fast and our waitress, Samantha, was very prompt and knowledgeable. Samantha had great recommendations — the food was AMAZING. She was so helpful and hilarious. It was 9 o’clock so Mimi’s was going to close soon, but Samantha was still so cheerful and bubbly. One of the managers even came over and joked with us a few times. Needless to say that we will be back for sure, everybody and everything was perfect!

Had dinner with a group of friends. The service was great and the food wasn’t bad. Mediocre is the word to use, the food was pretty basic in other words. Nice place for a group get together.

Mimosas are just fab! The Berry one is a must try! Great Chicken and Waffles and Cinnamon Roll French Toast! An extra charge for Maple Syrup, but it was so worth it. My server was also wonderful in explaining the menu!

I’ve only had breakfast at this chain location. Everything my table ordered was very good(especially the ham and cheese crepes). The service was extremely friendly and fast. I’d like to go back and try something for lunch soon!

The coffee is better than most. Muffins are excellent. The orange crème brioche French Toast is very good and so are the potatoes. The eggs tend to be dry at times and the prices are a little high, vut those are the only negatives. One of my go-to places for breakfast.

Came for lunch as I had a buy one get one meal coupon to use since I signed up for newletter. Inside was cool so we sat on patio. Unfortunately the flies were not kept at bay by any citronella candles but that’s comes with the dining AL fresco territory. There were bees too so maybe they could benefit from setting up some barrier because it was pleasant to sit out in the sun and the music was nice too. Anyway our waitress was very nice and encouraged us to try the wine which is $ 5 a glass daily. The children’s menu had a nice variety. my daughter got the pasta. I got mussels and my husband got the chicken breast which was everyone’s favorite at the table. It was tender and had a delicious sauce on it. The fries were prepared perfectly. The dessert sounded so promising. bread pudding made from their infamous croissants. It was prepared well but was more buttery than sweet. It came with whipped cream and caramel on the side for the patron to make it as sweet as they wanted. However I am not a caramel fan and it was not described that way. I wanted to taste the vanilla and sweetness cooked with the bread pudding. Oh well, I will try the crème Brule chessecake next time. I would come back as its convenient to mall and I think the prices are good . *For My birthday they sent a coupon for free bread pudding, but because I didnt care for it, it most likely will go unused unless I give to my husband. i wish the coupon let you pick a dessert of the birthday person’s choice.

We were regulars at the Mimi’s in Greensboro. That won’t happen at the Cary Location any time soon. Absentee server made for a poor meal. My spouse’s meal was wrong — quiche lorraine instead of the quiche lorraine crêpe. She didn’t repeat the order for errors. The runner brought the incomplete meal out and we didn’t see our server again until it was time for boxes & the check — so we couldn’t fix anything until it was too late. Our drinks were not refilled during the meal, either. Lastly, the server left all the soiled napkins & creamers that we had put in the corner of the table(before we ordered) for her to clear. Spoke to the manager after & she said that server is «one of their best.» That’s really a shame. They need some training on friendly, tidy, attentive table service. Oh and we beat the Sunday lunch rush, and it was still too noisy in there to converse.

I’ve been to Mimi’s several times, and every time I go, I always look forward to it. Everything I’ve had so far is amazing. I generally stick to the breakfast menu(because their breakfast food is some of the best I’ve had). My personal favorite – the Lemon poppyseed pancakes, followed in a close second by the cinnamon brioche French toast. Their coffee is quite good too. I went again today and decided to be adventurous and order off of the lunch menu. I got the chicken & guacamole half sandwhich with tomato bisque soup and assorted fruit. They unfortunately forgot the the guac… which is the first blunder I’ve seen at Mimi’s in my many times of eating there. They were polite about it and I was able to get some guacamole on the side – no biggie. That tomato bisque soup though? Tasty as all get out. In summary, Mimi’s has great food(especially breakfast), and a cool New Orleans vibe. Check them out!

Mimi’s salads are right on. Not so for the sole. The wild-caught sauteed sole with a butter lemon caper sauce turned out to be a breaded, pan-fried fish worthy of balancing on a stick next to a fried Ho Ho at the state fair. I was amazed at the integrity of the greasy residue that coated my mouth and lingered for hours after the meal. And, the lemony, buttery caper sauce that I was looking forward to, was nowhere to be found. The roasted potatoes offered no reprieve. They appeared to have been involved in a microwave experiment which effectively destroyed any crispness that may have been offered through the roasting process. Overall, Mimi’s does several things right: salads, muffins, breakfast, and customer service. However, wild-caught sole is probably better off left swimming in the Pacific than on a dinner plate at Mimi’s.

Don’t know why this place only had a three stars. The décor is fancy and the food is great! I had the salmon Benedict and a mango mimosa. The prices are a hair on the high side, but overall a wonderful experience.

Wow, just wow. This place was everything I was not expecting out of a New Orleans-themed restaurant. Great décor, fast service, friendly waitstaff, and delicious food. And for once in my life, I actually wanted to eat everything on the menu, just based off of the description ALONE. After almost 10 minutes of hard thinking, I finally went with the egg white, spinach, and mushroom omelette that had feta cheese and came with a mixed fruit dish on the side. I had to have my fair share of fiber, so I also got an extra side of toast. My boyfriend got the egg spinach crepes which came with roasted potatoes, and he also ordered a side of pork sausage. On top of that, I was curious about the pancakes, so I ordered those too! Then I thought, hmmm, the coffee? And ordered a mocha latte. YUMMMMM. Tasted like amazing hot chocolate(which doesn’t bother me, but could bother some). My boyfriend thinks it tasted a lot like dark chocolate, so if you’re a lover of that specific type of chocolate, you’ll love this drink! Our food will be posted on the restaurant Unilocal page, so check it out! 5 stars for being great in all categories of fine dining!

It was Friday and the restaurant I wanted to go to was packed, so my friend and I drove around before deciding on Mimi’s café. There was plenty of seating, so we gave it a try. I’ll give props for the décor, ambiance, and service. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and was fast. The basket of bread was served warm with butter, and both varieties(the regular roll and the nut bread) were good. I ordered the grilled salmon for my entrée. Was a little overcooked and sat atop veggies and some sort of mustard sauce which was a little congealed, but by no means bad. For the price, the food was ok — not bad, but not great, just good. Definitely not against coming back to try more menu items.

«2 Stars = Meh. I’ve experienced better.» — and I could not have stated it better. For the money, I would rather drive 45 mins and wait in line for Relish(and pay less), or pay the same amount and go to Lucky 32. I have to at least give a positive review for the kid’s menu. The have a very nice size and variety for the kids at least. Prices weren’t insane, and they did have a pretty big portion for them. I just don’t see the value in the menu for the prices they have. The food was ok, but for the price, it was not a value to me. Granted the meal was about $ 10 more than what we typically expect to pay for that type of food… so it is not outrageous by any means, but it is just not what I would have expected after seeing the photos on the menu, the descriptions, and the prices. Underwhelming upon delivery. I keep reading the portions are huge in other reviews, I don’t agree. Portions are normal size. You just think they are bigger because they use bigger plates and bowls. The chicken pot pie for example — $ 12. On the photo, looks amazing, and is delivered and looks huge because it is in a big bowl. When you crack it open, the dish wasn’t even halfway filled. Head over to Jason’s Deli for about 1⁄3 less cost and get a better portion and much better flavor. For brunch, I would go locally to Briggs or run on out to Relish in North Raleigh. There is not much else to say, other than … meh.

Good, not great. The food is reasonably priced and served with decent portions but the taste isn’t particularly outstanding. Nothing we had was bad but it just wasn’t anything to write home about. I ordered a Shrimp Diablo, which I don’t think is on the menu anymore. It was shrimp, some veggies and noodles in what essentially tasted like nacho cheese sauce. It was tasty in a junky way but that was about it. I haven’t been back in a while and I’m pretty sure they’ve changed out a lot of their menu. I’d be willing to try them again if I’m ever in the area so hopefully I’ll be a little more impressed with their food. The restaurant itself was very nice and clean and the staff was friendly.

Overall I thought Mimi’s Café was pretty average. I used to like eating at the Raleigh location, which has since closed, so I was looking forward to trying this one in Cary. I went here on a recent Saturday for lunch with a friend. This particular Mimi’s Café is very large with plenty of seating but was only about half-full when we were there. My friend and I both decided to order the lunch combo of a salad and sandwich. We actually both ordered the same sandwiches and salads as well — the turkey club and the bacon and blue salad. The turkey club was honestly pretty bland, I’m not sure I would order that again. I did really like the bacon and blue salad, which is saying a lot for me because I do not regularly order salads. It was topped with plenty of blue cheese, bacon, walnuts, dried cranberries and strawberries. I think the worst part of our experience here was the service. Considering that the restaurant was not extremely busy, our server was very inattentive. They usually serve you a basket of breads before your meal(one of the things I really liked about the old Mimi’s), and we had to ask a different server for this. It came out at the same time as our meal. When our food did finally come out, it took a very long time to locate our server because my friend was missing dressing for her salad. We actually could not locate her and had to flag down another server to assist us(who was actually much more helpful than our assigned server). It also took an extremely long time to get checks. In my opinion spending close to two hours on a Saturday lunch is way too long. I was not too impressed by the service. So overall, an okay spot but not somewhere I would drive out of the way in order to eat a meal here again.

I have only been here once, and that was after they sent me a coupon for a free dessert. I had a nice server, and I was recommended The Ensemble, which included Brownie a la mode, Bread pudding, and apple cobbler. The brownie was outstanding, the apple cobbler was so-so, and the bread pudding was not worth eating. It looked nothing like the advertised picture. The server said that they liked it, but I couldn’t get past the overly mushy texture in my mouth, and the flavor was off. Normally I love bread pudding, I just couldn’t eat it here. I would go again to try a different dessert, or an entrée.

Brought a bread basket with warm white bread and a nut bread. I ordered turkey and it was nicely cooked. The portion size was huge. They have a separate area for a large group which made it nice. The restaurant was not very loud so we could have a nice conversation. The service was fast and our waiter very attentive. Would come back again.
