Applebee’s

Went in for half price appetizers @ 2:50. The deal starts at 3pm. After some controversy on where to be sat (we cared less, hostess couldn’t figure it out), we were sat. Told both hostess and waitress we’d like to wait til 3, for the deal. She said no prob, order anyway. Shrimp and sweet potato fries were good, cheeseburger egg rolls as gross as they sound, don’t know why I had to order those. Place was pretty darn dirty. From sticky menus, to fingerprints all over the mirror we were in front of to that electronic gizmo on our table– dirty. Manager happened to stop by to ask me if I would mind pulling down the sun shades, I mentioned how I never saw the place so dirty, he apologized– something about it was a busy day. No prob. Now, check came. Was charged full price, not half. Nicely mentioned to my stressed out looking waitress. She said I was wrong. She left. I then grabbed her, showed her the receipt + menu. She fixed. Bad day for Applebee’s for sure. But the dust and dirt are inexcusable.

I waited for half an hour for my car side to go order to get out, it finally showed up 45 minutes after I ordered it. 20 minutes after it was already late, the server came out and said that they were just starting to work on it then. What the hell? Another car came and went well I was waiting, they’re currently wasn’t a problem with their order, and all I had was a sandwich and pretzel. They also forgot part of my order, but I was so late at that point I couldn’t wait. I called to talk to a manager and his only explanation is «the kitchen got backed up and somebody should have told you». They had my phone number for my order… Why didn’t anybody call me? There was absolutely zero attempt to make up for this. This was my first, and absolute last time ever using the service.
Update: I got home and went to eat my food. There were ingredients listed in it that were not included on the menu that I was allergic to so I couldn’t even eat it!
Side note: they included silverware and one napkin covered in pickle juice because they put the container in sideways.

Went with my mom for dinner and had the best service and it was pretty packed our waiter Robert 0. took care of us even though i saw him on the opposite side of the restaurant attending other guests. I had the 0riental salad yes this hit the spot i just wished it had a little more if a serving size for the price but the taste was right in point. My mom had the 6 oz Sirloin cooked just right but the green beans had no flavor and were over powdered by the garlic, & limp bleah and her mac & cheese had no cheese dry bland noodles. When i went to unroll my utensils i found food on the fork ugh gross, I was able to wave down the host to have it replaced but i was inspecting everything after. In the end service deserved the 5 stars but the food taste/​flavor dropped it down a star & the dirty utensils.

We go to this Applebee’s location ALL the time because we live in Cathedral City. Last night was by FAR the worst experience at Applebee’s !!! My mother, 2 grand daughters (ages 2 and 4) and I arrived there at 6pm and yes they were getting busy. My first red flag was on the way to our table I heard the server say to the hostess «why are you slamming me with Tables» to which I replied «don’t you hate it when they do that to you». We sat at our table and about 10 minutes later a young man appeared and took our drink order. When he came back to the table with our drinks he said that the other server would be there to take our order. He reappeared and took our order. He informed us that the kids meals would come out first and then our meals shortly after theirs. My grand daughters meals came out and they enjoyed their dinner… all of their dinner. Our meal didn’t arrive. As a matter of fact the people who were seated behind us after us already had their food AND the people sitting in the bar next to us who were seated when my grand daughters got their meals already had their food. So I got up and asked for a manager! What a WASTE of my time. All he said was sorry the kitchen is backed up. I explain about other tables getting their food and he, not really caring at all said sorry. When I asked him what I was suppose to do with my grand daughters now that they were done eating so I could enjoy my food… he said sorry. Our food was COLD!!! My grand daughters were bored but doing their best to behave. What Great Grandma and Grandma thought would be a nice evening out with grand daughters was TERRIBLE. And I bet the issue was that that server forgot to hit the FIRE button for my moms and mine food… as usual the kitchen was to blame and the MANAGER had no sympathy or cared about customer service. Oh and the table behind us and the bar table finished their food before we got our food.

Never again, server was not on her a game and the brod who brought me my drink gave it to my husband, when I told her it was mine she didn’t even turn to look at me but was mean mugging the whole time I was eating my meal. Saw the server a total of 3 times in a 2 hr meal. 20 minutes after saying no to dessert still didn’t receive the bill. Ended up leaving the $ on the table and walking out. I should have checked Unilocal before going here, usually we go to Rancho Mirage and we will stick to that from now on.

Have to say I’ve been here twice this week. I’m out of town on business and very disappointed. Bad service food an gold wine was served to me. I think thus location is under staffed. Sucks because there’s no good places to eat in cathedral city. Bummed.

At the bar for a nibble and drinks after a long bumper to bumper drive from san diego. Bartenders are attentive and fast. Fair warning do not ask 20ish yr old to make a cosmo… orange instead of lime for garnish? Ok he tried. Food was good fast and hot.

Every single time my husband and I visit this location, the food is horrible. We live in Palm Springs so driving to Cat City is 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic. We have been here maybe 4 times in the 5 years we have been married. And each time we swear not to come back but give it a year and come back. The very first time I was here I ordered a steak. When it came out the steak was a weird gray color, when I cut it, it was the same color. So I asked for something else and they brought out the three cheese chicken penne. How do you mess up noddles? So the next time we came we ordered the artichoke dip for an appetizer. The cheese was hard, the inside was cold and the artichoke pieces were hard. The chips were stale and when we complained about it the waitress said we already ate a third of it so there was nothing they could do. We had gotten up and left. The third time we went in we ordered the sandwich and salad. Was not too bad (hence the 2^nd star). The 4^th time we visited this location was about a month ago. Again we ordered the artichoke dip which came out and the cheese was rubbery. I ordered a steak and my husband ordered three cheese chicken penne. When he started eating it there was no flavor and the penne was soggy. So he sent it back for a steak. After another 20 minutes his food got out, by that time mine was cold. We had a gift-​card from Xmas so getting our money back wasn’t an option. Definitely will NEVER COME BACK AGAIN. This location desperately needs new management, cooks and waiters.

We just moved into the area a month ago, we live right down the street so this Applebee’s location has become a frequent stop for us. The food is always good and service is always prompt however, Alexander has been the best service we have received by far! What a fun and enjoyable start we had for a Saturday. To management: He is a keeper! Can’t wait to come back and see him again soon!

Today is Veterans Day, so hubby, who was Navy, and I came for lunch. We were seated as soon as we walked in (for lunch). Hubby was given a special menu from which he selected the Crispy chicken Asian Salad. I chose the lunch combo, ½ a BLT and the House Salad. Both meals were to our satisfaction
Our waitress was attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.
Both of our lunches were tasty. The addition of bacon in my house salad really gave the salad a nice salty flavor, on top of the blue cheese dressing. The BLT had American cheese on it. It gave my sandwich a different detention of flavor. It was suttle yet not overpowering.
My husbands Asian salad could have used a bit more vinegarette on it, but it was to his liking in flavor.
We are planning on doing a date night, for a drink and bar snacks, soon.

Was fast and was hot but not the same thing from the picture and the main reason i ordered so sad wish they would have let me know or take down the advertisement of what they clearly don’t have I would really like that disappointed

I had a better time today than our last. Our server was Miguel and he was great and food was on point. We will definitely be coming back and asking to sit in his section.

Average to poor food (we did the 2 for 20 deal). But the service was good, plenty of screens to watch football on, which was the main reason we went there, waiter was very attentive and the cool computer gadgets the introduced were pretty cool.

We have been coming for years to this place. We really like it. But tonigth, we came in at 11:35,they were not so busy. When we arrived we were told that it was last called 25 minutes before they closed, we order drinks and it took over 15 minutes, and then the manager Pam came in and she tried to give us the drinks, but I told her that it was not the money, that if they really want to stay and bussines they need to take care of the custumer the rigth way.

My wife and two grand kids and I had a good experience the food was good the coffee was real good I asked the server the brand did not know I guess it’s state secret the potstickers were small and rib were good but real lean at the end over charged but made it right and were nice about it will go back

This was another stop along the road. Meals were good, service OK. Restrooms needed attention. Has the Caesar salad wife had same with chicken. Friends had the burger. All meals were good. Waitress didn’t seem very happy about being there. Prices much higher than other Applebee’s visited. Noticed that items were $ 1-​$ 2 more.

Service was good. food was good… great price for mondays hamburger special meat was very juicy .The fries were not the best but did well.

Sickening! I was served raw vegetables and raw steak. My husbands meal tasted like dirt and my sisters salmon was over cooked and dry. Her sons Mac and cheese tasted like it was coated in plastic. Our drinks were empty 75%of our visit and our server never asked us how our meal was. The worst restaurant I have eaten at in a long time. I will not return to Applebee’s ever again because of this visit. Sick.

Close to my job so I come here often and even order carside (delivery) from time to time.

Ordered the Roma pepper steak and it was delicious. I enjoy the salads here as well

We love it here their chabelas are one of the best in town and Happy hour and prices can’t be beat specially because their Chabelas are in their Happy hour love that. That’s the main reason for the 5 stars really if it wasn’t for that it would have been a 3 or 3 and a half. They were smart for doing that in the desert wish all Applebee’s everywhere did that like in Sd and places outside COACHELLA valley they don’t know what Chabelas are. We enjoy the atmosphere here.
