I came across Danny Hughes works of art at Fiesta Hermosa(09-02-2013) and I have to say I am quite impressed with his collection of work. Simply looking at his works of art you honestly felt at peace. You felt as if you were transported from Fiesta Hermosa to the quiet calmness of a Yoga studio, I very much got the vibe of some ‘Namaste’ in the air. Danny is a native of California and has been painting for 10 years. Danny started his career in a collaborative relationship but now paints as a solo artist and participates in many major art shows and street fairs, hence Danny being at Fiesta Hermosa=) I spent a great deal of time speaking with Danny and talking about his inspiration to paint. Danny told me that every painting he creates is done with the intention of providing the viewer with an opportunity to be still and quiet the mind. Each painting contains spiritual truths that point towards an inescapable oneness that connects us all. Each painting acts as a type of visual mantra, a gateway to a quiet place, a beginning. The simplicity of each painting is a metaphor for life. I ended up picking up a small work of art and I could not be happier with my purchase. This artist is someone you will be seeing see in the future. Danny has taken a much different spin on what he creates. Danny covers his canvases with the pages from aged books taken from different spiritual teachings, aged paper, oil, paint and resin on a wooden panel. The ‘splash’ effect with resin definitely connects directly back to Danny, his vibe, love of the Ocean, being a shaper & surfer. Danny uses Fine art canvases available in three sizes 12″ x 24″, 24″ x 48″ &40″ x 80″ which are hand-embellished by Danny, gallery-wrapped(no framing required). It is amazing some of the folks you meet along the road of life. Danny and his work is one of those people. Do not be one of those folks that shop for art at big box stores no matter the price. Ensure artists like Danny stay in business, Be the Good!!! Danny Hughes has a great website that very much follows that ‘Namaste’ vibe that I felt upon walking up on this stand /shop.
