This is quite possibly the worst restaurant establishment in the Cedar Park/Leander area. Service was atrocious. We came for lunch, and there were only about 5 or 6 other tables filled. We waited outside by ourselves for over 20 minutes without being greeted. Then we went in to ask what the issue was, and it still took another 10 minutes or so to get to us. The food took about 30 minutes to arrive. The food was ok, not great, but certainly not worth waiting for so long. Our entire meal should have been comped. We will never come back. This is one of many disappointing visits we’ve had. Never again!

We went last week with a group of 15 or so and the results were terrible. One friend ordered chicken and it came out pink. Another lady ordered the club and it was terribly bland. I ordered chicken fried steak and it was average at best. The mashed potatoes were really good but our service was 1 star. Bring back the old Lone Star Café.

This restaurant is so slow it’s unbelievable. Food is average at best. Waiter was no where to be found most of the meal. Was there for over an hour and a half before my food showed up.

Stopped in for lunch today, and had a very tasty burger with fries. Great service, nice atmosphere. Will most definitely return!

Went on a Friday evening. No wait time for an inside table; outside was crowded. Wait person(Mario) was excellent… attentive, knowledgeable, courteous. Food was good comparably priced to similar venues. Draft beer was really cold.

We went here for my honey’s company Christmas party. He has a girl he works with that set it up that is trailer park fabulous, which is exactly how I would describe this. They are a pretty huge restaurant with a very large outside area for eating or hanging out with a fountain and some nice landscaping. They set us up on the side outside with an outdoor buffet and some drink tickets and a casino. The food is just meh, but the drinks were good(although the waitresses weren’t that great) and the casino set up was very fun(but this was from an outside company)! I am not sure if I would ever return here on my own, as it’s a bit out of the way for us but it seems like a nice little neighborhood hang out.

Unfortunately food was absolutely horrible. Catfish had no flavor and appeared to be old, salad was prepared with expired lettuce, fried pickles were old and fell apart. Mexican martini was poorly made and over proceed. I hope management makes the necessary changes very soon because it’s clear when no one is filling your tables on a Saturday evening there are some serious issues.

Food is ok. Prices are extremely high for the area. There are better restaurants nearby with better prices.

It’s really sad because this is a beautiful venue. When it was Reunion Grille awhile back, it was excellent, until a new chef came and the food suffered. Shut down shortly after the change. Reopened as Lone Star Grille. I knew it wasn’t going to be anything special, but decided to give it a chance. Service was really slow and uninterested. I had the meatloaf. Took forever to come out(did I mention we were the only people in the entire restaurant?). It was stone cold. I’ve never been served stone cold food anywhere. I ate what I could. My husband insisted I send it back, but I wasn’t going to risk it with the young wait staff here. Told him we would just never come back. Boxed it up, took it home. Warmed it up in the pan the next morning to have with eggs. Bland.

My family came in on a late Saturday afternoon. The restaurant didn’t seem busy. We were sat at a booth and given menus. After several minutes of looking around in the completely empty dining room, we noticed what looked like servers congregating braiding each other’s hair and standing outside talking. Several people walked past us. Not one greeted or came to the table. After 20 minutes we walked out. We’ve been to this place several times over the years. Never once has service been this bad. I doubt I’ll be back ever.

Came in on Friday evening at about 745. A band was playing and the courtyard was buzzing with happy people eating and drinking. The place was busy but no where near slammed in my opinion. We got on the waiting list and were told 45 minutes. Really? It seemed way to long but ok, we were already there. 45 minutes later and I’m told it will be another 30 minutes. By now I’m pretty… let’s say not happy. But again, we are there so we all decided to just eat at the bar. Not what I really wanted at all. We finally order and then are told, they need a credit card. No shit, where do you think I’m going??? By this time even if the food was great I probably won’t be happy. While we are waiting a guy’s comes up and orders a few drinks and tries to pay with a $ 100 dollar bill. The bartender asked another employee if they had change??? WTH? Is this place for real? After an hour plus I finally get my dinner about 15 minutes laterI ordered the meat loaf with the red sauce. I have to say it was excellent! The meatloaf was cooked to perfection, the red sauce was nice and zesty and fried okra was spot on. I started this rating off at one star because of the wait. I’m giving it three stars just based on the good food. This place certainly in my opinion needs work in the service and seating quickly department but I highly recommend the food. For that, I’ll give this place one more try in the future.

GREATFOODANDATMOSPHEREWITHSERVICEAS A SIDE. Four star atmosphere and food it seems like a place you would really like to go. Live music stage. Indoor and outdoor seating with a play area for kids. Food is a little better than I expected we had the po’boy and Turkey sandwich both were great breads were fresh and the meat and sauces all tasted great so to the kitchen keep it up. Service was not great expect to be slow and not overly friendly with some mistakes but that can be fixed or go during a higher traffic time when the better servers are there.

I know it is a Saturday night, Longhorns on the tele, and this is a great place if you have kids but I was told by the hostess it would be a 30 minute wait for a table inside, an hour 15 outside. I opted for a table inside. They take your phone number to text when the table is ready. I take my 4-year old to play on the playscape. The play area was like a scene from«Lord of the flies,» sans the conch. Kids are running around unsupervised, one child wet her pants, another has a combination of snot and mulch on her face, kids are sliding face-down, pushing each other to climb a rope latter, throwing dirt at one another and a few boys are climbing on top of, yes, on top of the playscape like a pair of spider monkeys at the Zoo. A shout comes from across the yard for those kids to get down, I’m guessing a parent. That shout prompted a couple moms — not dads — to come check on their kids while holding their beers and margaritas. Far be it for them to leave something so precious unattended, and by precious I mean their drinks! After a little girl intentional pushed my daughter down the slide to make her hurry up, I knew it was time to go check on the status of my table since 45 minutes had passed. I’m told it’ll be another 20 minutes. Like a dumbass I decide to wait and head back to the playscape to relieve my wife from the romper room madness. Surprisingly the little girl who wet her pants still had on her dirty clothes even though momma is now watching her. The snotty nosed kid is caked in dirch, a combination of dirt and mulch, and those boys were back at it climbing the top of the playscape. Twenty minutes passed and still no text, so I go back and ask again about our table and that we have been waiting over an hour. This time I’m told there is one table in front of us and it shouldn’t be any longer. I go back outside and told my wife the good news. She told me a group of friends were going across the street and for us to go join them, and we did. As I’m sitting eating my meal at another restaurant I finally got a text telling me my table was ready. It took them over 90 minutes, not 30 as they originally told me. This place needs to manage their time more wisely.

This is a very family friendly place. There is lots of seating outside as well as play areas for the kids. My husband and I ate inside. Our waitress was very friendly and kept our glasses full and gave her recommendations when requested. I had the Meatloaf(recommended) and my husband had the chicken Fried Steak. We also had the fried mushrooms. The Meatloaf was good and the jalepeno gravy on top was great. However the chicken fried steak and the mushrooms needed seasoning in the batter.(Taste like the same batter on both). We used salt and pepper at the table to add some flavor. The sides were average. If I ate here again it would be because I was bringing my grandson and probably try the burgers.

We’ve been 3 times and won’t go back. Service was slow. Burgers were alright but French fries were soggy and awful. The Mac and cheese was white cheesy sauce that was cold. The children wouldn’t eat it. The playground was nice but it’s not worth going to pay for inedible food.

So here we go again! Last year(it was called reunion grille) I brought my sister, my daughter, my neighbor and some other fiends. I have had some less than wonderful experiences at this place in the past. but the night I brought all my friends was by far the worst. Before we left that night we spoke to manager about how the service that night had guaranteed none of would return. He seemed mildly annoyed by our complaint and not surprised at all by what we all said. A few months after that night, the place shut down was reopened under new management. It is now called lone star. I read some negative reviews on Unilocal about the service and menu prices at the new lone star… But I really wanted to believe that the new place was better. It’s a great outside place and I hoped it would be better now. It’s not much better. After 45 minutes and no waiter or waitress coming to the table to say hi… We made a sign for the table and walked away. The sign read (We will be right back… Ran down to «blue corn harvest bar and grille» for dinner) When we got to Blue corn Harvest… 4 minutes!!! It took 4 minutes to get sat, and have our drinks on the way.

My first visit was their official opening day. They soft opened the previous weekend and were out of several wines, beer and some food. No biggie. Their tap selection is great with several Texas drafts and they also have the whole Deep Eddy’s vodka lineup. I found a glass of wine I liked and ordered up one of their big salads. I ordered the spinach salad with remoulade dressing and added lobster. I was happy with the generous portion and that the menu has some healthy options. Jesse ordered the club with fries. The fries were just sad and limp. Their club doesn’t come with mayo(isn’t mayo on a club a norm) so we asked for some and they obliged. Once again not a big deal. On our second visit we were greeted at the door and were informed they were closed for a private event and they handed me a gift card for $ 10. We dined in last night and Jesse opted for the bacon cheeseburger on a jalapeño bun and fries and I ordered the kale salad with lime cilantro dressing and added shrimp. Once again I was happy with the super generous salad portion. The kale salad consisted of feta cheese, grapes, sliced almonds and the dressing was delicious. The Angus burger was perfectly cooked and the bacon freshly made and crisp. The bun however does not hold up to the burger and was falling apart. If you order a burger I would recommend subbing out the bun with their Texas toast. Once again sad limp fries. The food would render 3 stars in my book. They are new and I hope things improve in the food department. The two stars is for the behavior of some of the employees. Lets just say when you pluck staff from night clubs and 6th street to work in a family restaurant there is some training in order. The hostesses are sweet but last night their was one young man that is rude and smug. He completely cut me off and what he said was not the problem, it was the manner and delivery. And all that just so he could lean up against the hostess stand, really? The outdoor area is beautiful and relaxing. There are picnic tables, tables with umbrellas and a playscape. They will eventually open the bar outside near the amphitheater. I hope they get it together in the staffing department because this venue has so much potential.
