Qdoba

I’ve passed by the Qdoba near my house several times, always mildly curious. I finally decided to pick up some dinner the other night, on a whim. I had the steak quesadilla and an order of steak tacos for my kiddo.
The quesadilla was loaded with cheese and pretty large, but I wasn’t totally thrilled with it. I didn’t really enjoy the sauce that the meat is mixed with. Just tasted like a cheap way to cover up mediocre meat. I prefer to taste beef, if I order beef. The tacos were filled with the same meat, so not much to describe there, although the tacos had more toppings and so were slightly better. I did enjoy the queso and chips. Overall, it is okay. Not great, not bad. I thought it was a little over-​priced for what it was. I’d rather have had Freebirds.

While the service was excellent and very friendly, the food was pretty awful. Better flavors going on over at Taco Cabana. I won’t be back.

This is the best Qdoba! Every time I go I am welcomed with a smile and leave with laughter, the employees rock! My food is amazing and the restaurant is always spotless.
Consistency is what you’ll find here, I never leave thinking «maybe it will be better next time». It’s always spot on!

Whoo! hoo! McMexican!

This was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff; fresh, tasty food; and super clean. Hubby appreciated the Dasani Lime Water offering — sodas are a no-​go and ice tea will make us nocturnal. Guacamole was REALLY good and fresh — rivals Enchiladas Y Mas’ — that NEVER happens! I only wish they offered shredded chicken (like they do shredded beef) — chunks of grilled chicken are just tired and not really representative of the cuisine they’re offering. That said, we will be back!

This was our first visit, my wife had the craft 2 where you can combine any two tacos and any entrée but a smaller portion… she had the ground beef tacos and the rice and beans and pulled pork in a bowl, very tasty. I enjoyed a smothered burrito, you can choose white or brown rice, pinto or black beans, and grilled steak… very good. This is very similar to Chipotle but we like it better. The food was really good but it’s a little pricey for fast food.

We had dinner here the other night and it was really good. We both had chicken burritos and an order of chips and queso. They were out of coke, which was a bunmer, but we will be back.

Why is it empty, you ask? To me, the chewy, 100 percent artificial beef from yesterday, and the grocery store tasting jar-​queso on top of a few chips, with water to drink isn’t worth anything close to 9.87… I could have had a very similar meal at Taco Bell.

Great service, super friendly! We were greeted with a smile and the customer service was amazing until the end. They were pretty slow when we went in but instead of staying behind the counter and keeping to themselves, they came by several times to see how everything was and asked if we needed anything. Super impressed. Great experience.

The food is good and fresh. The entire place is whistle clean and they help newbies like us.
Yes, I know its a chain but so what? They have a desirable format and this location sticks to the plan. We liked it.

As a vegan living in North Austin it can be very difficult to eat out. I also have two picky boys and a newborn. We went during the week around dinner time. The staff was friendly and helpful since I’d never been. I had the Mexican Gumbo which was pretty good. The best thing… we were the only customers for most of our visit. Great for a newborn. :) I do think it’s a little pricey for what it is, but I like the convenience of taking the kids without stress.

The food was better than the service! Please speak to all customers as they enter, and treat them the same, don’t pick and choose and honor whatever promos you have! With that being said, I don’t have to return, there are too many similar establishments.
