The food more than makes up for the lax attitude and slow service. It actually isn’t that slow at all and yes they sometimes mess up your order but that is easily remedied.

We moved into the area from south of Austin. We have been long time Taco Cabana fans. The first two visits to the store in Cedar Park were about two years ago and not so good. However, the service and the food vastly improved in 2015. Our food now is fresh, hot and tasty. We typically have enchilada plates or tacos and they are quickly devoured, leaving a smile, and a little chili, on our faces.

Same great taste on the beef fajitas that we used to enjoy and really wish for one in Las Vegas. Margaritas were on spot and the salsas were well prepared. We can’t wait to visit Austin again.

Not real clean, lettuce on plate was brownish and limp … food was so-so. the beef in the street tacos needed more marinating, or something — pretty chewy. Taco Cabana used to be a step up from Taco Bell — now, pretty much the same level. That is not a compliment, by the way … Rosa’s Café has probably cut deep into your market share.

I was expecting some slop but was pleasantly surprised. Their food is quite fresh and tasty and the condiments bar has loads of fresh ingredients to make your taco or whatever just the way you like it. It’s extremely cheap too. Solid recommendation.

Love this place but sometimes when you go inside and order there is no one at any of the registers and it takes forever to get some one there. I had the Steak Fajitas ½lb sizzling and it was as good or better than any restaurant in Austin or any where I have ever had them. Simply fantastic.

Could not rate the food because they were closed when their sign said they should have been open. I sat at the drive through for 5+ minutes(which was lit up) finally gave up and drove around. Restaurant was dark inside and lit up outside. Couple of employees inside darted to the back when I went to the front door and found it locked. Tried calling the restaurant and was hung up on the first time and was left to ring when I called back.

I used to like Taco C before Rosa’s opened up and we switched. Went here the other day cuz we needed to grab dinner and were in the area. First off, they took my favorite thing off the menu(sour cream chicken enchiladas)! So, I reluctantly ordered the chicken flauta plate. When it came out, the flautas were sloppily rolled and were busted open… and the guacamole to dip them in was literally just a tiny scoop barely bigger than a quarter. The beans & rice were decent. My husband got the fajitas plate and said it was so bad he didn’t even finish it. He said it tasted vaguely like dirty socks or something gross. Then to try and make up for the apathetic service & crappy meal I ordered some sopapillas for my kids. I ordered the«large» 10 piece. First of all, you should know they are BITESIZED sopapillas. They are also WAY too thick, chewy & tough… and didn’t have any cinnamon sugar on them. Absolutely terrible… even my 7 year old didn’t want them. Side note: the bathroom was absolutely filthy, and humid. I will be sticking with Rosa’s from now on!

Worst Taco Cabana ever. Just went through the drive thru, ordered 1 egg, bean, cheese, and potato taco and 3 egg & bacon tacos. I partly blame myself for not looking in the bag, but just got home to find 2 cold bean and cheese tacos. Awesome! Happy 4th of July to me! Right around the corner there’s a Fuzzy’s Tacos, Torchy’s Tacos, heck, there’s even another mexican food place that shares the same parking lot that would be a better choice. AVOIDTHISPLACE.

The food is a hit or miss, I get fajitas so difficult to mess up(although you’d be surprised) but my complaint is about the service. Going through the drive through they always forget the simple stuff like the salsa, or put it in your bag half closed so it spills everywhere. Today, I had a complaint about my food bit everyone seems to be hard of hearing since after literally 15 minutes of calling straight no one will answer. That makes me more mad then anything!

How do they keep this place open with good options close? The place is about empty, but it still took 25 minutes for me to get a taco and a quesadilla. The bathroom was out of soap, and one of the two sinks had no water. Being out of soap bothers me because I now wonder if the employees bother to wash after using the bathroom. When I got my order, it was packed as to go, but I ordered to eat in… Silly. The only reason I stopped here was for speed, but i could have driven 10 minutes further and gotten food I liked, and driven back and still come out ahead. As for food: The queso seemed watered down, and the guacamole’s only reference to avocado was the green color. The taco and quesadilla were ok.

My family and I went to this restaurant. After we ordered we saw 2 other parties get served before us so after 20 minutes we asked what was going on. They ran out of the food that we had orders and no one told us and we were just waiting. We asked for our money back so we could go somewhere else. Not sure what was going on but this was real bad. No one bothered to explain what was going on. Very sad customer service. Super bad experience!

LOVELOVELOVE their breakfast tacos… at other locations. This taco cabana tends to serve me cold breakfast tacos with undercooked potatoes. They almost always forget to add cheese. The service is EXTREMELYSLOW. Drive through takes forever as does going inside. Some staff are friendly, but the last time I went the girl who delivered us our tacos did not say a single word to us. Even after we said thank you. She just handed us our tacos and walked away. She did this to every customer.(I had some free time while waiting for my food. Lol). Overall this location needs some work.

My son and came in last night around 6:30. We stood at the counter ready to order for several minutes being completely ignored! We ordered 6 tacos both chicken and beef. When the food came we both took our first bites, my son chicken and mine beef. We looked at each other and spit the food out at the same time!!! The meat and chicken tasted like they were spoiled and smelled bad. Told the manager, got a refund, and left! Still praying we don’t get food poisoning from this!

I went ahead and gave this place another try. Again a one star rating. I’m not quite sure what the big deal is about this place. I have never had good food there. It’s overpriced for what you get. There is nothing on the menu that I like. I also don’t eat there anymore. My daughter loves this place. I guess that it’s different strokes for different folks.

Service very poor at this location. :( Using the drive through on this visit. Had to repeat myself 4 times only for her to say«I heard you». Sat at the window for a bit before they took payment & there were ZERO cars in front &ZERO behind.

They are A-OK — if you need a quick fix of some Mexican food. The attitudes of the staff in the evening really could use some imrovement especially in the drive-thru. I worked for Taco Cabana a couple of years ago at the store in Georgetown and I know for a fact that the GM would have not put with attitudes towards the customer that the ones at the Cedar Park store have. Only reason for the 3 stars is that I like their Flautas and always will — so they have me on those. The only thing they have against Rosa’s that just recently opened up in Cedar Park is that Taco Cabana sells breakfast and Rosa’s doesn’t. Their Ritas are pretty good at Taco Cabana as well and the mix is not pre made — the workers actually make the mix themselves. Never really had an issue of not getting what I ordered — but be sure you get a reciept because if you take the survey — you get a $ 1.00 off your next order.
